Mike Palmatier an HVAC certified technician installed a new furnace in my home. He quoted $3350. He commited to coming back after the install within a week to look over the job and i would have a warranty for the product. He stated he puts the furnace warranty under his name and if i have an issue i get in contact with him and he will work with the manufacturer to replace faulty parts. Since being recommended to him by a local hvac business the communication has been poor but with patience the process was moving forward. Once finally setting a date he installed the furnace 11/2/2022. Payment for the job was to be made at my earliest convenience since it was last minute and cash was not on hand. After install i came to find my double wide skirting was still removed from the house and with what experience i have with oil burners there were loose components that i repaired. I got in contact with Mike and paid him 11/4/2022 and got a written receipt. I told him my findings and he played it off no big deal and said he would come within a week to look over. Since the transaction has been made, i have been able to get a hold of him twice with days he commited to come and never showed. I explained that i would like him to look over his repair, supply the furnace manufacturer door tag that was misplaced and also look at a noise being made from furnace (whining noise). I still to date 1/15/2023 have not been able to get a hold of him. His phone rings and goes to voicemail, which i have left plenty. After many attempts a day, over many weeks i left him a polite letter at the address provided on receipt. I still have yet to hear from him. I have spent time and money to repair noise that concerns me with no luck. I was forced to hire another business to repair ($120). I would like to let my experience be known, Mike to finish the entire job he promised and would like to have some type of warranty outlined. (There is no more room available for more details to this matter).

    Business Response

    Date: 02/03/2023

Mike Palmatier called BBB and said that he paid a friend to put in the oil line and fitting with a bypass plug, and will also send a check for $120 and the name tag for the furnace.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 02/04/2023

Better Business Bureau:  I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.  I am confused with Mike Palmatier's response. I personally hired an HVAC business to install the oil line, fitting and bypass plug at my residence to fix the furnace noise issue due to not being able to get in contact with Mike Palmatier. That came out of my pocket entirely and had nothing to do with Mike setting up. The second part of his response "will also send a check for $120 and the name tag for the furnace" I am unsure what that means. Is he looking to reimburse me? I am not seeking reimbursement. I am seeking as describe previously, to finish the entire job he promised (look over the furnace install), (supply missing furnace door tag) and would like to have some type of warranty outlined because, I need to be able to get a hold of him if I have any more future issues.   Regards,  ******* ******
