March 19 2025 I paid my NYSEG bill $219.36 and then I have not received my April bill so I contacted NYSEG. They stated that I didn't pay for the March bill and I looked at my bank statement and it says the payment was sent and payed for. They told me that I still owed the March payment. Then said that I need to send them my bank statement. I have had many problems with them in the past with billing issues.

I recently moved and agreed to set up a payment plan. The first agent ever sent me the plan, and the second agent had me pay $50 down and said I'd receive a document to agree to two more payments of $140, totaling $310.00. I never received my plan paperwork after making multiple attempts to set this up. Can someone please contact me to resolve this?

Overcharging electric bill. Tripled for use and house is unoccupied with heat only on in basement at 50. It would be impossible for this bill to be correct and I’m sure March is also insane.

Outrageous bills that are unaffordable. A MONOPOLY! there is no other option, nyseg is the only company in my area. Other supplies still need to use nyseg to have power. This is illegal. My bill was 787 dollars for a 1280 sq ft home. I was not even home the full month of the charges. The meters are wrong or the charges are wrong. They offer no resolution other than "call charities and beg for help" or switch it into someone else's name to rack up debt.

This business’s bills have skyrocketed with no correlation. I have lived in my home for ten years and am currently undertaking renovations on said home. Insulation is new; foundation is new; we operate exactly one air fryer and one washing machine in the home at the moment. This is also not the coldest winter I have lived in my home. However, bills have increased from 200/month to 800/month a month without justifiable explanation. It is not just my home, and not just me not receiving explanations. We cannot change energy providers as NYSEG is the only option. Customers like me need a third party to help us. Please be in touch if I can provide any additional information.

The nyseg company had charged us for an address we did not live at for several years and corrected it just to add a similar amount for "previous charges" I've lived at this address for a year and a half and my meter has only been read once. The amount there charging based on an estimate is outrageous. They are trying to turn my electric off now because they estimated my bill doubled to almost 800 dollars for one month of service without a reading. I could not pay this large amount now they are requiring a down payment of almost 1500 dollars not to turn my electric off. I just need a payment plan or something set up with a reasonable down payment and the company is unwilling to reason with my request

I never signed up for budget billing or agreed to such. Also when my bill is estimated there charging me a lower rate then when it's an actual read they increase the charges by half. With no change to my usage. The weather got warmer as well, and they double the cost for my actual meter reading.

NYSEG billing has doubled. I was charged over $150.00 for almost no usage while the property is being renovated. No HVAC is hooked up, no appliances are plugged in, two lights used occasionally during the day - the only thing that would be plugged in are rechargeable batteries for contractors. My primary residence bill with NYSEG has also more than doubled, after 12 years of usage and billing consistent - I will be submitting a complaint on that account also. I have heard numerous complaints the same as mine.

I changed the automated account with drawl information on the website for my account. I updated a bank account number and removed the old one. In February they tried to withdraw from the old account information. I confirmed several times that the new information was updated. Yet they still drew from an old account that was closed. Since they tried to draw money from a closed account it didn’t not process and was cancelled. Thus the account being past due and charging for a past or over due fee of 20 dollars. NYSEG admitted to the mistake and refused to refund the 20 dollars. I requested to talk to a supervisor several time but the person on the phone refused to connect me and delayed my time until they went home. I was on the phone for an hour or more with them to resolve this with no success other than they refused to. The handling of this situation is just rude and immature because i asked the agent on the phone if she ever contacted a supervisor and she acknowledged that she didn’t until it was 4 pm when they all leave for the day. She did put me into a call back for one. But no one has reached out since the conversation.

I hadn't received a bill for a few months. I called to ask when I was going to get a bill. Theu sent someone to the house. I called again and still no bill. Called a third time and then they sent me a bill. The latency of the bill was due to an error on their side. I have now received 4 bills all in the same day with different amounts. I am seeking them to cover half of the bill for their mistake, that I brought to their attention. Since I have no proof that these amounts were generated from my house since their new smart meter wasn't working or wasn't being read properly.
