Hello Ms. ******* We apologize that your wait time for discharge was not as timely as you would have liked. Unfortunately, sometimes our staff needs to attend to more pressing or critical cases which can delay other processes such as discharges. We work much like a human ER, so wait times for discharges can be 1+ hours on occasion. We are not sure if you were apprised of a potential delay, but we can work on a protocol that will help keep owners informed if there will be one. Thank you for your input, and we wish your pet nothing but the best!Review fromTerri M

1 starI came to see an internist for my cat who looks and acts backed up, pees a lot, drinks lots of water, eats all the time, walks funny and strains all the time trying to go. I brought w me current blood workfrom my local vet who had just done an ennima as well as blood work. The internist at Guardian did more X-rays found some minor pooh up there and asked if it was ok if they did an ennima I said great she said she would see what she could do to get him in front if a neurologist since he wasnt backed up that much and since he was walking funny she felt that would be a good idea. I said great waited for her to treat my cat and waited to see that neurologist. About ******************************** said they were almost done I said can we see that neurologist she said she didnt know what I was talking about.visit was north of $****** cat got worse. I called 5 days later btw no follow call from a neurologist, I did get an email from Guardian wanting a review. 11 pm I call as my cat is worse they say that the internist was going to be in to come in at 8 am. I am an hour and a half away but it just so happens i came in at 8 but was met by another doctor as the first internist had called in sick. The new doctor asked me about his meds and asked me the same stuff the other had asked and I thought this is strange doesnt this doc have access to my cats files??? I had to navigate her, told here there was blood work she found it said there was no thyroid testing. What???? Why had not the internist on Wednesday not seen that????? She said she didnt know what she hadnt picked up on and that she herself was not an internist So I made another appointment to see the original internist. $500 that visit cost.Later I called as my cat got worse. Tech got on the phone and read out loud notes and never asked how he was doing or offered any advice and eventually hung up.I paid north of $1200. my cat is not better from the Guardians ********* full story on their review page.Review fromPatricia R

1 starThis business should not get any stars whatsoever. Triage is definitely not practiced here in any sense, mind you it's an emergency room for animals. The receptionist thinks he is intimidating because of his size, screams and tries to insult you if you're timid I am not. Came from around his desk multiple times as if he was going to do physical harm to me, upon me complaining about my treatment to the vet, she insist it was just a misunderstanding. I have never dealt with such unprofessional people, I'm quite sure the other workers are afraid of this tyrant. Horrible to have to fight for your right as a person when coming in for help with your emergent pet. Their name may be ******** but that is definitely not the person at the front door checking you in.Review fromDeborah M

1 starGuardian Veterinary Services performed an essential surgery on my dog, after surgery my poor dog was left under the care of an Intern who ultimately caused his death. Its as if they used my precious baby as a guinea pig. How can it be legal, ethical or morally correct to leave a newly licensed intern to care for a dog post surgery. Arent interns supposed to be monitored under the watch of a seasoned, experienced Vet ? Then they got rid of records from the time that she was in charge of my dogs. This was proven after an investigation by the *** Veterinary Board. I want justice for my dog and I wont stop until I get it. She killed my dog then they covered it up by not having the records.Review fromMegan W

1 starEuthanasia, originating from the Latin term for a good death, is a concept that carries with it the promise of a peaceful passing. Yet, my beloved cat was robbed of this very essence of compassion. From the moment we arrived at the clinic, it was evident that we were the only ones who truly cared about my cat's suffering. Despite the urgency of the situation, they moved at a sluggish pace, leaving my feline companion in excruciating pain caused by a blood clot. As I desperately tried to communicate the severity of the situation, the vet assistant patronizingly explained the technicalities of a blood clot, as if I needed a ****** in the midst of my cat's dire state. Finally, the vet made her appearance, casually preparing herself for what she deemed an emergency. As my cat struggled to breathe and his once warm paws turned icy, we were faced with the agonizing decision to end his suffering. With heavy hearts, we chose to let him go, only to be met with *********** and indifference from the very individuals entrusted with his care.As they took my cat away to a back room, we could hear his cries and the discord between the vet assistant and the vet herself. They decided to confine him to a kennel to "calm down," a decision that left him alone and frightened in his final moments. When the vet returned to inform us of his passing, her brief words offered no solace or comfort. We were left to bid farewell to his lifeless body, haunted by the realization that he had met his end in the hands of uncaring individuals. My daughter and I are left grappling with the question of whether we could have done more to ***** our cat the dignity he deserved in his final hour. While we acknowledge that we were powerless in that moment, we are determined to warn others of the lack of compassion and respect displayed by this establishment towards our beloved animals.I urge you, in honor of our cherished baby *******'s memory please seek help elsewhere.Review fromDenyse C

1 starTerrible Lab follow up. We brought in our Cat, ******, who was experiencing respiratory distress. After spending 4 days there and $8k, he was released and put on a diuretic. After calling to follow up on how best to treat him, the doctor returned our call 7 days later and apologized for dropping the ball. You would think they would have initiated the call just to check in!The doctor recommended that our Cat be tested for Lymphoma and we agreed. We were charged $589 immediately and then waited a week for the results. After our 2nd call trying to track down the results, we were informed that the results could take 1-2 weeks. Today is week 3 and once again, we put in a call to find out what was going on.I have since disputed my credit card charge since no service (results) were delivered and the anguish and frustration with not getting any returned calls were over the top. Fortunately, our cat is doing better after bringing him twice to our normal Vet who upped his diuretics but Guardian has no idea whether our Cat is still alive.I would never go back under any circumstances!-No follow up -No Compassion -Very disorganized follow up
