Had lost my second job which resulted in 40K less. Recently had a car accident that totaled my car and needed to get another car. They told me I owed the money which I know, times have been very hard. I offered to make a payment of $100.00 today and they said the computer wouldnt accept it was too low. If I didnt pay the $3000 would become $5000 court and attorneys would be involved including attorney fees. I am more than willing to pay my debt but they took $586.00 today and want 248.11 for the next 12 months. They were very threatening East Point Recovery

Receiving repeated harassing phone calls about a debt that is not mine. I never opened a credit card account I defaulted on. They somehow have my wife’s contact information and have been harassing her about me. They need to go back to the bank and tell them the account they are collecting for is NOT mine. I have no documents to upload because this account does not exist

Eastpoint Recovery Group has been sending my full name out to several phone numbers and calling several people about a debt they claim i owe. These people they are calling have nothing to do with me. The debt they claim i owe from **** bank was due to fraud on the card. I contacted **** in a timely manner to dispute the charges on the card that were not placed by me and they did nothing. I filed a police report citing the card and account balance and a ftc identity theft report which is attached

Better Business Bureau:    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.  I don’t believe this to be true. Is this email  ********************************** not yours ? It has your company name on it and it is the way you were sending me messages. I will not give you a call as I do not consent to being recorded.  Also that would make our conversation undocumented from the BBB.  Leave any and all correspondence here.  So again I ask is this your email address with your company name clearly in it ***********************************    Regards,  ******* *********

Easpoint Recovery Group has been harassing me within the past two months by telephone and text. I have never did business of any kind with this company. I asked them to text me their name and contact information so that I could response appropriately, but they did not. I sent them a notice to cease and desist all contact, but they continue to harass me by telephone and text. In addition, they went into my credit file causing my credit score to go down by 40 points. I am a senior citizen and this is causing me much stress.

I have been receiving harassing phone calls and scam text messages from this company for a while now over 6 months . Including from electronically generated representatives. I have spoken with a few of their representatives, and they have refused to provide me with any type of access as proof of payments. I also continue to receive cryptic voicemails from multiple representatives, including electronically generated representatives almost on a weekly to daily basis. Many of these voicemails also do not provide who the representative is calling from and appear to be fraudulent. I hereby request that Eastpoint Recovery Group and its representatives cease and desist from making any additional verbal contact with me and/or any family members, concerning any and all alleged debts you contend I owe. Thank you.

Was contacted by Lisa F****** about an old account. Was told if I didn’t pay my account would be sent to an Attorney and taken to court which would add another $1300 on balance and my pay would be garnished. Let her know she is not allowed to threaten me with garnishment. She tried to play it off like she said that “could happen” after she clearly stating that “would” happen if I didn’t setup a payment with her using my checking account knowing the $ is not there to cover the payment and knowing our conversation was being recorded. Told her I’m not paying anything without documentation. She stated she could email me something but I would have to setup pymts w my checking account. I informed her I will not pay anything since she wants to threaten me and to quit calling me and any numbers associated with me. I was more than willing to work something out on this until being threatened that if I didn’t setup the payments on her terms and what worked best for her that I would be taken to court and my pay garnished. This is def prohibited collection practices. I have an attorney and will be meeting with him later this week on this.
