They do not answer phone. They do not respond to correspondence. I have sent emails stating I do not authorize any payment to be taken from my personal banking accounts. They state on my letter that I can contact them anytime. But they do not answer or respond. They take automatically each week from my bank account and I want this stopped. Called over a hundred times with no answer.Business response

Eastpoint Recovery Group, Inc. is responding to the complaint submitted to the Better Business Bureau by ********* ****. We have taken time to review the basis for the complaint and provide the below response.Ms. **** incurred a debt to ****** ******** *******, which had an Account Number of ****************. That debt was placed with Eastpoint Recovery Group for collection, with a balance of $7,743.12. After the account was placed with Eastpoint for collection, Ms. **** was mailed an initial notification letter on August 3, 2024. Eastpoint attempted to contact Ms. **** via phone on August 3, 2024, and August 21, 2024. Our representative left Ms. **** a voicemail on August 3, 2024, and August 21,2024. There was no direct contact with Ms. ****. We have listened to the voicemail left for Ms. **** and find the accusations to be false. The representative did not hack Ms. ****’s phone and has no ability to do so with the phone system we have in place. Eastpoint strives to make compliance a priority. Ms. ****’s account has been isolated to a cease-and-desist status and no further contact will be made from our office. Had lost my second job which resulted in 40K less. Recently had a car accident that totaled my car and needed to get another car. They told me I owed the money which I know, times have been very hard. I offered to make a payment of $100.00 today and they said the computer wouldnt accept it was too low. If I didnt pay the $3000 would become $5000 court and attorneys would be involved including attorney fees. I am more than willing to pay my debt but they took $586.00 today and want 248.11 for the next 12 months. They were very threatening East Point RecoveryBusiness response

Better Business Bureau: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. I don’t believe this to be true. Is this email ********************************** not yours ? It has your company name on it and it is the way you were sending me messages. I will not give you a call as I do not consent to being recorded. Also that would make our conversation undocumented from the BBB. Leave any and all correspondence here. So again I ask is this your email address with your company name clearly in it *********************************** Regards, ******* *********Business response

I have been receiving harassing phone calls and scam text messages from this company for a while now over 6 months . Including from electronically generated representatives. I have spoken with a few of their representatives, and they have refused to provide me with any type of access as proof of payments. I also continue to receive cryptic voicemails from multiple representatives, including electronically generated representatives almost on a weekly to daily basis. Many of these voicemails also do not provide who the representative is calling from and appear to be fraudulent. I hereby request that Eastpoint Recovery Group and its representatives cease and desist from making any additional verbal contact with me and/or any family members, concerning any and all alleged debts you contend I owe. Thank you.Business response
