      I've contracted the news several time about where my paper is physically being thrown (in 3ft snow piles, in puddles in driveway, out by my neighbors cars-just to name a few) & the issue continues. I've sent photos and I mostly get the same response, "the delivery person will be advised..." I say mostly because I don't always get a response just an automated response. I purchase this paper for my 87 yr old mother who has been a customer for many of those years but with the cost increase she couldd not afford it so I get it for her and pay the extremely high cost for less of a paper, it should at least be delivered in the designated area I requested (front porch) not in the driveway, in a 3ft pile of snow or by my neighbors cars. Like I said, I've reached out several times about this & the delivery issue continue. I will NOT be renewing my subscription. DO BETTER BUFFALO NEWS

      I asked for a bill to be mailed to me because I was on automatic payment and they kept raising my bill without my approval. I never received a bill in the mail (like I asked) and my account was closed for non payment. The price for paper delivery has elevated to such a point that I had no option but to cancel the Buffalo News after being a customer for almost 45 years. When you call customer service you will get a foreign person to talk with. What a disgrace for the Buffalo News! Much smaller papers with less coverage and no holiday papers anymore along with day late coverage because the papers are printed in another state. It won't be long before the total operation goes under.

      I have been a customer of the Buffalo News for over 40 years. I had the Senior rate and paid for a full year in advance. The News has stopped my subscription two months before it expires. This is Fraud and Senior Abuse ! How do they get away with this !? When I call it's always to a person from another country who doesn't understand English. Please people at The Better Business Bureau help all of us!

      I have been a customer of the news for many, many years. I have the senior rate. I sent the check last December for the year. My paper stopped last week. I called and got someone in a different country. They said I owed money and the subscription was not for a year. This is fraud. How do they get away with this? I want a refund if I am not getting the paper. I cannot speak to someone locally. I don't know what to do. Another example of taking advantage of Seniors.

      VERY similar situation to what Mikr shared. Signed up for trial subscription, it shows that I am logged in, but it won't let me access articles as it says I need an account (which I do--I'm logged into it). Asked for refund, they said they don't give refunds. They provided instructions on logging in. Instructions don't work, but again, shouldn't be needed since I AM LOGGED IN.

      I signed up for a Buffalo News Subscription. They said that they processed my subscription and that I was good to go. They took my money and credit card information. I was unable to log in to access any news articles from them. I followed all the proper instructions and I couldn’t access my subscription. This amounts to fraud. I am sure that I was on the Buffalo News website when I supposedly signed up for this subscription. Please investigate this situation for me. Thanks **** *****

      I pay a lot of money for a service that I don’t receive. The paper doesn’t arrive or it thrown in a puddle. This is the worst service in the 43 years I have been receiving the paper.customer service is terrible to speak to a customer service representative you have to listen to elevator music and then when somebody answers, they tell you they’re having computer problems and to call them back after you’ve waited 20 or 30 minutes to talk to someone. The Buffalo News is a joke a bad joke.

      Over the past six months, I have tirelessly attempted to terminate my digital subscription with the Buffalo News, only to encounter persistent challenges. Despite my continued efforts to cancel online, the system thwarted my attempts and directed me to contact them via phone. Unfortunately, my numerous calls went unanswered, leaving me frustrated after enduring 45+ minute waits on hold. Faced with this impasse, I resorted to the inconvenient measure of canceling the debit card associated with the account. To compound my dissatisfaction, in December 2023, I received a disconcerting letter from a collections agency seeking to recover a debt amounting to $32.23 for the period during which I diligently sought to cancel my subscription. This development has left me considerably worried and upset, particularly as it poses a potential threat to my credit report. It is disheartening that these charges, which were unauthorized, have persisted despite my proactive efforts to discontinue the service and now could have a significant impact on my nearly perfect credit report, for an amount of $32.23; yes, you read that right $32.23.

      The Buffalo news has become extraordinarily expensive. They no longer even print in Buffalo. I am receiving daily emails for a $26 annual senior or gift subscription. I long ago gave up my subscription due to price. I called to find out about the senior subscription and was told their computer system is changed so I could not have it. Mind you we have been getting the news since 1972 and are definitely seniors, it was canceled solely because of the price $26 sounded very good. Then I started getting $26 a year gift subscriptions not having had the paper in quite a while. I had my daughter call and she was told someone already had the paper there I called to find out if I could get a subscription to my own house and they said no since someone had had a subscription to the news at my house it was unable to be given at the $26 price. that means my daughter could not even give me a gift. Bottom line? Once you have had a buffalo news subscription anytime within/in our case 50 years? Forget about getting any discount even as a gift. These people are a FRAUD. shame on them. You can't even read no obituary in the Buffalo news without paying $180 a year for their online! What does that say about their business model?

      We used to get the paper! We decided to cancel it was so expensive! so on 11/22/2023 we received a call 3x form their promotions dept.! They offered a special $21.62 for a year! Ok so we gave them the information they needed! well a week goes buy never charged us and no paper! Called again said you have to wait 5 to 7 business days! Well nothing again! Called again told me the same thing! I called again today the billing dept, they told me they see I have called many times no mention about the special! Told me they can give it to me for $48.00 a month????? They can't do the special! I can wait for Buffalo News phone number for promotions to call back! They will only talk to you from the phone number they called!! I just wanted the special for my husband! This is a SCAM!!
