On Dec. 9, 2024 I placed a new flooring order for my master bedroom, pantry and completion of my kitchen floor. Bobby from Kenny Carpet came to my house, measured and took a leftover sample of my current kitchen floor to match. He called with an estimate of $2800 and an install date of 1/2/25. Since he had my floor sample, I assumed he was able to match it. I agreed to pay half up front and the remainder on job completion. I gave him my credit card over the phone. I was immediately charged the full amount, not half as agreed. He said he would put a copy of the PO in the mail that day. I requested it 6 times since before I finally received a revised PO on 1/18/25, which didn't list all details and was more expensive. On 1/2/25 after moving everything and having my contractor remove the sink and cabinet for the kitchen floor install, no contractors called or arrived. I called and was only then told the material was delayed until the end of the month! It seemed to me the flooring hadn't been ordered. A new install date pushed back delivery and installation of my sink, cabinet and countertop, which was scheduled for 1/16/25. I would have no working sink in the interim. As a workaround, I paid someone $200 to use leftover flooring under the sink plus an extra $150 to temporarily reinstall my sink so I could have water, plus $50 to move furniture. On 1/14/25 the floor installers arrived. I then learned the product in no way matched my current floor and was much thicker. My options were to continue with the install and order a complete new kitchen floor for about $2000! The installers could not complete the install. The thresholds also were not ordered and their work order did not include any kitchen work. I'm left with a tripping hazard in a high traffic area, a potentially deadly issue for an 81 year old! I've had many conversations with Bobby's supervisor, and he has only made excuses for his extreme incompetence, leaving me with a costly situation to resolve.
