I brought my vehicle in for a scheduled appointment on Friday, May 27 at 9:00 am. All that was needed was a simple oil change. I intended to wait for my vehicle but was told they were really busy and it might be a couple hours. I expected it would be done by noon, but it was not. When I called, I was told it would be at least two more hours. I finally went in at 2:30 and they were just pulling it in to be serviced. I was floored! Holiday week-end or not, I made an appointment weeks ahead of time and was disregarded. I was offered a free oil change only after I suggested it. Not that I would ever return or encourage anyone else to for that matter. I have been to that Burdick Chevrolet center twice, and both displayed extremely disappointing service. The first was in April to have crossbars installed that I purchased through the dealership. When I got home, we realized they needed adjusting yet whoever had put them on, did not leave me with the key that goes with them in order to do this. I had to make a separate trip back to retrieve it. The second, was this latest fiasco. I feel I have been discriminated against as a woman. I made an appointment, I waited well longer than I should have, and I walked away with absolutely no service performed on my vehicle. Every man waiting in the waiting area left with their vehicles serviced and in much less time than I waited. This is absolutely unacceptable. As a marketing major with a Master’s degree, I am educated enough to know that bad news is twenty times more likely to spread than good news. This was bad news. Social media has been informed. They cannot treat customers the way I was treated.
