I bought an 8 year warranty on my ** refrigerator which was purchased September 2021. They were enthusiastic at the time but never expected my warranty would be used less than three years later. I called July 4th after my fridge bit the dust on July 3rd. Nothing is working. They send a repairman on 7/9/2024. He is in my home ten minutes, says they know the problem, have dealt with it before BUT had no parts on hand to fix it. So, they order parts and supposedly it is overnighted. No call next day, I call 7/11/2024. They act like I am calling for the first time. I am now scheduled for 7/18/24. It is weeks now, no fridge and no offer of a replacement. I take the day and stay home waiting today. At 10am, they call me to say the guy is on medical leave and NO ONE will come and to call to schedule ANOTHER APPOINTMENT!!!! I have lost so much money on spoiled food, ordering out and just the whole situation is ridiculous. I am angry and hurt at the treatment I am getting from you PC Richards.Review from Tomasz L

I purchased a ******* refrigerator in 2020, and after 2.5 years, the freezer broke. The service department is a joke. I opened the case with them sometime in March 2024; they missed a couple of appointments and replaced all the electronic boards. It did not fix anything. Then I was told they needed to replace the cooling system (compressor and some other parts). I was assured that this would fix all the issues. They did the work at the end of June and after three weeks, the freezer stopped working again. I asked to speak with a manager, but they never called back. It looks like they are there to protect the vendors and not the customer. I called a few days ago and reported the freezer issue again, and this time, I was told that they will process a form for a replacement. I called today to follow up and I was told that it was denied and the tech will come next week to assess and possibly replace more parts. I am assuming the cost of parts and the tech visits is already greater then the cost of the fridge. I have been without a freezer for about 5 months now. We bought a Friedrich air conditioner ****** btu's July 25th 2023. We also added the 5 year warranty. It stopped working on Sunday July 7, 2024. (Not one year later) We called service on July 8th. We were given a date for service on July 11th. During these days there were very hot days. We were getting alerts about the heat. The service men came on July 11th and we were told it needed freeon and they would have to take it to the shop. It would not be back for five more days. I am a sick person with stage 4 cancer (breast that went into my bones. My husband is not well also He has a heart condition and many other concerns too long to list. I called the ** Richard people and was told they had to wait to see what the service people are saying. They said they might be able to get us a replacement and would let us know by July 12th. If they replaced it with the same one and it was more money than what we have paid, we would have to pay the difference. I called them myself on July 12th since I did not receive a call back. I was told that the service people said it could be fixed and we would know by Monday, July 15th. That does not mean it would be back by then. I am so sick from the heat here. Sitting with 4 fans going, throwing up. Thinking of going to a hotel for a few days. I don't even want to give one star.P.C. Richard & Son Inc. Response

PC Richards delivered a defective dishwasher, took the old one and left the defective one. I am hoping for the replacement soon. The delivery people were kind of shady, said they had to replace a value under the sink, asked I pay them $150 for the part and plumbing service, or get my own plumber to come in. I wrote them a check for cash which is what they asked for. Then they tell me the unit they just delivered has a busted drain hose. They don't have a replacement. I am unhappy with this ... seems like a scam. Don't know. We shall see.P.C. Richard & Son Inc. Response

I purchased a kitchen suite and every appliance for my new home from PC Richard. For the past 2 months,we have been trying to get our dishwasher repaired,new lights for our refrigerator,and we had a problem with our washing machine They came to fix my washer machine and moved my dryer. since moving the dryer, I am unable to use my dryer because they never put the vent back correctly. They have come to my house 3 times in the past month and have not come with any parts to actually fix any of the problems we're having. The customer service is atrocious and I am constantly given the runaround, unable to speak with a supervisor or anyone that is actually willing to help. The service technicians have unclear notes in their service orders, and I have spent countless hours on the phone and taken multiple days off work, only to continue to have nothing repaired/resolved. Their recommendation is to extend warranties and pay more money! I would NEVER do business with this company again and will make sure to make people aware that there are much better options for when they need to purchase appliances. They Installed a new Dishwasher which was broken. I was meet with total Arrogance by instore management when I asked for some consideration for timely replacement. had to get back in line for delivery date again. Purchased another appliance dishwasher from rival company on Long Island with better warranty and timely delivery set up. I have purchased several items from this establishment over 30 years but consideration was ignored. I feel they have degenerated from the friendly neighborhood store to a **************************** I suggest not becoming involved with this business.Review from Lynn S

I purchased a ******btu portable AC unit, but when it arrived, the box and unit were labelled ******btu. I called my sales person who said the ****** was the European btu equivalent and ****** is the **. This was deceptively advertised and I returned to the store to speak with a manager (wasn't available and never called me back). Bought Frigidaire Air Conditioner March 2021, with extended warranty through 2026. Air conditioner blowing tepid air only. Called for service and was told that P.C.Richard no longer services Frigidaire bought at its stores, I would get a voucher in some amount to purchase replacement air conditioner, no value refunded for unused years on warranty, for which I paid $119.99 and has 21 months remaining, and its not transferable to replacement air conditioner.1) no advice about product no longer being serviced 2)no choice but to buy at P.C. Richard again via voucher 3)Stole ************************************************** HORRIBLE COMPANY! SHOULD BE FINED!Review from Luis

We bought an ** refrigerator that went...We bought an ** refrigerator that went bad after 2 1/2 years. The first time it went bad we lost $300 worth of groceries. Then they changed the compressor. Two months went by and fridge was down again. Then for a month they've been coming back and changing parts. The last man changed everything that could be changed and the fridge still wouldn't work. They told us we would get a new refrigerator and then they wanted to change more parts. Now we are in the fifth week without a refrigerator (which we use to not only store food but MEDICINE). We go back and forth almost every day where they promise a refund and then go back to changing parts. There is a big lawsuit going on because of this and I wish we had known before going to P.C. RICHARDS. PLEASE DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM P.C. RICHARDS. They do not appreciate loyalyP.C. Richard & Son Inc. Response

I bought a refrigerator GE profile from PC **************************** in 2019 and purchased an extended warranty good through 2027. My refrigerator broke down early May 2024. I call PC Richard. The technician came and replaced the parts. The refrigerator broke down in 2 days, I called again, parts arrived in 10 days, replaced again on 5/28/24. Refrigerator still not cooling even 48 hours later after replacing major parts. Still waiting for a responseP.C. Richard & Son Inc. Response
