This is a horrible company with bad customer service. I never received service but they submitted a complaint to court never properly send me notice and the address on record is an old address that I moved away over 10 years ago. they need to make zero starts an option ******** installed an inadequate alarm system in our home, one that was clearly not designed for the size of the property. Despite numerous service calls and reassurances, the system remains unreliable and ineffective. I'm now trapped in a five-year contract with a company that appears to prioritize profits over customer satisfaction. Their technicians have been unable to resolve the ongoing issues, and conversations with other ******** customers have only confirmed my suspicions about their unethical business practices. We inherited this system when we purchased the home, as the previous owners (flippers) had no real need for a functioning alarm. Had ******** been upfront about the system's limitations, we would have explored other options. I intend to pursue legal action to rectify this situation.Review from Staci S

Slomins customer service is awful and their staff is incompetent. They installed wireless system in my house without removing the old one. In turn they hooked it up and it is a fire safety hazard. The contact directly hits against the old system. They were supp to come repair it last week and changed the time to when I was at work. I told them my appt had to be after 4 and they still wont comply saying they cant. When they installed it in the first place they were s le to come at 4. Clearly they just wanted the money. Now the fire department will be fi g a complaint against them since they will not rectify the situation on my time table. Slomins has very predatory policies. I acknowledge that this is my fault because I am forgetful and sometimes forget to pay my bills on time. This has never been an issue with any other oil delivery company before, and if I forget I just pay both bills in full the next time I get a bill. On such an occasion I had forgotten to pay slomins but didn't think anything of it until I ran out of oil in February. I called slomins to find out why the heck they let me run out of oil and they told me they would send someone out in a few hours. I couldn't wait that long so a neighbor let me take some fuel. When the guy got there he literally delivered 5 gallons of fuel oil and told me there would be a $300 charge for this, but I could call the office and see if they could help me out since they let me run out of oil. Okay, after some time I get in touch with them and see if they are willing to help. All I get is a quote in the contract that says all bills must be paid in full in 60 days or the account will be placed on hold. So yes, they are backed by their contact, but it is very predatory to allow folks to run out of oil in the winter and then charge them 300 for 5 gallons of fuel and to push a button.Review from jason e

I've been with Slomins for 30 years. Every 5 years, I renew my contract with them in exchange for upgrading service. Upon speaking with their rep this year, he said the only upgrade available to my system is to add cameras. I received a verbal confirmation that there was no changes to my service or costs and the rep concurred. 4 weeks later I receive notification that 1) I have been switched to AUTOPAY 2) I have been switched to monthly billing 3) My service cost has nearly doubled. I contacted Slomins and was told that since it's been a "Month" there was nothing they could do. I explained that its been a month only because this was my first notification but no movement on their part. I told them to remove the cameras and cancel my service and was told I would be hit with a cancellation fine. After 30 years, this is how I am treated. It's not just immoral its just bad business. I have referred so many people to them over the years - never again. Anyone who runs a business like this isn't worthy of a referral or certainly another renewal of my contract. This has got to be the most niggardly security company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with! The staff and management are rude and immature adults that need to be stripped of their jobs and titles! From talking to them its clear to see that its a culture of rude and disrespectful obnoxious behavior towards its long standing clients. I have multiple properties on accounts with them and its always a problem with either monitoring, billing, or equipment issues that are sold to you by way of misleading promotions!I would strong advise everyone to avoid this company at all cost for so many sad reason's! They talk to you as if youre an indigent human being not knowing how affluent you may really be! For the people there that arent the problem, Im sorry youre apart of this despicable company!Review from Takisha V

I would recommend not using Slomins! I had cameras installed not knowing if you discontinue service years down the line you will not have any access to the cameras?! Never was informed that is the procedure! Now lets begin with how do you pay slomins to monitor your home and they turn around after you pay them to install cameras and they break the news to you that you have to monitor your own cameras?! Uhmmm I couldve paid an outside vendor for camera install and never had my cameras shut off when I discontinued service with them! They are CROOKS!! RUNNNNNNReview from Cynthia V

Slomins is the worst company around. I believe they should be down for how they treat customers. I was w them for a year, I did purchase the service agreement but never told that if there is a balance on the acct. n you have an emergency they will not come out. Last week I suddenly had no heat n have a handicap 88-year-old mother on oxy.24 hrs a day n is in n out of the hospital ***************** son I called *********** said they could not do *********** would get a call back the next day. I followed up **************** from customer service he said I had a hold on my account even though I made a $320 payment the day before as well as two county checks in Dec. n was not aware that one was cashed a month after so it was invalid n supposedly they called me a month later to tell me this n I never a message or email so the check was sent back n was not applied to my account so I still have a balance n if they would have lmk I would have called to have the check reissued I tried to explain to them that I wasn't sure if I was out of oil or for them to come check since I had the service agree. he refused he was unprofessional and rude he said I had to pay the whole balance even though the other check is going to be reissued I didn't have $800 and also to pay for a new delivery of 450 gallons I told him he was heartless bc I had no heat with my elderly mother n in two days I would give them my account so they could take the money out he said he was going to cancel my account since I called him heartless Thankfully I found another *************** came out right away we're so cooperative n I still had 200 gallons left in the tank if they would have just come n checked this would not have happened I got a bill from them for $500 for oil that was not delivered they are unbelievable when I had no heat for 3 days and we all were sick I really need to speak to management if they see this review pls. contact me something needs to be done about the customer service and their policies.Review from Rob M

Very poor company to deal with. Dishonest service ***** claimed I needed a new tank and left without getting burner running. Wanted to make a sale , told me only option was a temp tank for $2000 cod , then a new one .. however it was just a simple clogged **************** plumber got it working in 10 minutes.. after waiting 22 hours without heat or a service manager supervisor to speak to.. after repeated attempts to speak to someone, all the phone reps say is.. I sent a memo, someone will call you back yeah still waiting.. I guess new manager doesnt care about customer service..
