After visiting the Dermatology Specialist of Oceanside, Ny, I received a bill for $200 for an “ office evaluation” regarding the acne that I complained of. I received no specialized in-office treatment just a prescription. I found this odd so I called to inquire about the bill, sure that it was erroneous however, I was informed that it was due to the “evaluation” I received regarding my acne. I said “when the doctor touched my face and agreed it was acne?” Yes, that was it. I have suffered from acne periodically since I was a teenager and have visited dermatologists from time to time for treatment. I Never had to pay for an “ office evaluation”. Acne is not an elective procedure such as cosmetic Botox. Additionally, I was never informed of such a charge in advance. Imagine if we went to a Primary Care Physician for a cold and received charges for “office evaluation”? It makes no sense. I will NEVER go back to the Dermatologist Specialist. It is truly their loss because instead of having a satisfied and loyal patient, I’ll be going elsewhere for treatment.

Very unprofessional. Poor quality of care. Billing errors. They don't even bill correctly and then send bills to patients.

I went for a visit and provided my insurance information as it expected. Few months later I received a bill. They billed a different insurance which I did not have for 10 years. This is preposterous. I don't even know how they got my previous insurance information anyways. This looks like a HIPAA violation also. I sent a copy of the correct insurance three times but they keep ignoring it. I suspect they want the claim to be denied for late billing in an attempt to get more money from me than from my plan. Some authority should investigate this business. And the medical service is not great either. Stay away from them.

a scam you hardly find a MD there mostly PAI had a follow up appointment for more than a month after my initial visit numerous text reminders came to me When I went to the office I was told they would NOT SEE Me this is after numerous reminder of this appointment They absolutely refused me any medical attention stating my insurance did not cover the entire bill and I had to pay an additional $100; this was shocking I am a senior American citizen on social security and I was absolutely told I basically had to leave by the front desk This was after waiting for over a month for this appointment While sitting there, several young men of hispanic (they spoke in Spanish) backgrounds came in no questions asked and were seen immediately. I suffered emotionally from this and never got treated I feel this is just a money making business and not a true medical facility.

I made an appointment to the ******** location. I drove there in a mad rush, paid for parking and walked up to a locked door with lights out. When I called the main line I was told that someone tried to call me but they got my voicemail, yet somehow I received no message. When I told them woman that she changed her story and said my appointment was for the 17th (I know for a FACT that it was made for today, the 3rd). I asked her to squeeze me into another location but told her I didnt want to wait given how much time Ive already wasted and was told it would be at least two hours of waiting if I went anywhere else so I said forget it and told her that I would not recommend the chain given my experience and hung up. Seconds after I got a No caller ID calling me, it was the woman saying if you hang up on me again, you better watch your back, I have your address. She took my personal info from my file, blocked her number and harassed me. I hung up and she persisted on calling a few more times blocking her number. If I had proof I would go to the cops. She should be fired immediately. I hope the business looks into my claims.

Charged $350 for a 10-minute consultation. I called billing to find out why. Their staff couldn't explain why I was charged so much or provide an itemized reason - The consultations can be $250 - $350. I asked why I was charged the highest in the range, billing acted like I was inconveniencing them and kept repeatedly saying the reason for $350 varies. I kept asking what does that mean, but no explanation was received. I had to eventually say a customer calling the billing dept to ask about a bill shouldn't be a problem. They wouldn't provide an itemized receipt or explanation but eventually sassily started naming off my chart (so an itemized receipt was possible?) of recommended procedures and visit reason by the physician assistant, which made it a "level 4" consultation (what is a level 4?) - aren't consultations just a consultation if nothing was done? also, it's quite rude to just start aggressively listing out procedures a doctor recommended - almost like she's going off on me. The other 1-star ****** ******* and **** ******* list similar experiences with billing. The billing department overcharges, lie about prices, and doesn't work with the customers.

Absolutely horrible. I was told they took my insurance only to get hit with a *******************, for absolutely nothing. They couldn't even tell me what was wrong with my skin. This place only cares about making money and not about treating patients. Do not go here. Would give zero stars if possible.
