I purchased two tickets from TodayTix for *********************** *** Broadway show on 9/2 for a total $268 for the Mezzanine section. Confirmation # is ************* (see Mezzanine on confirm email). On TodayTix website there was a price difference between Mezzanine (rows A-F) and Rear Mezzanine (starting row G). I specifically chose the more expensive Mezzanine section.I didnt receive my e-tickets until 2am ET on the show date 9/20 2pm ET. The e-tickets indicated row G Rear Mezzanine instead. I immediately contacted TodayTix, requesting changing me to the Mezzanine section I actually paid for. The issue wasnt revolved before the show. I then asked for partial refund ($90 total) of the price difference between ********* and Rear Mezzanine of $30 per ticket and $15 convenience fee per ticket, as they caused me a lot of trouble.TodayTix only offered $30 online voucher for the discrepancy in the seating chart on 9/22 which I told them as unacceptable. I called them again on 10/3. They insisted that the venue recently updated the section name and my tickets were correct, but refused to tell me when and could not explain why it affected my 9/2 purchase. I paid for the more expensive zone so seats from the exact zone should be offered. There was no notice on the website that the zone purchased can change. I also checked the venue on the day of my purchase, the show day, and recently, there was NEVER a change in the seat zone border or price difference. After hearing that I have screenshots, the manager offered $30 refund for booking fee and refund of the $30 voucher as a gesture, but refused to refund the seat price difference.They are intentionally engaging in fraudulent behavior, selling expensive seats and then actually giving worse ones with no time to resolve. The same issue happened to another show my boyfriend bought from TodayTix and numerous other customers as seen on the BBB.I insist that TodayTix refund the rest $208 of my tickets and apologize for the issue.Customer Answer

On 7/13/2023 I purchased one ticket for Parade on Broadway. When I purchased the ticket I selected the "Orchestra" section which consisted of the center orchestra between rows J and N, and a few seats in the side orchestra sections in those rows, the ones closest to the aisle. So, generally, the center of the orchestra section. On 7/21/2023, the day of the show, I received my ticket in my email. The seat is Row O, and the furthest seat on the right side. This seat was not anywhere near the section that I chose. When I paid TodayTix, the price for the **************** section was significantly cheaper than the "Orchestra" section, but I chose the "Orchestra" section anyway because I wanted the better seats. When I contacted TodayTix they basically told me that this was their general policy, to give customers the seats that are cheapest for THEM to purchase. It is 100% false advertising to show a section of seats to a customer and then, after the customer has purchased from that section, give them a seat in a completely different section. The online customer service was entirely unhelpful and I was told I would get a follow up email once they "look into it" and I have received NOTHING. DO NOT BUY FROM TODAYTIX!!!Initial Complaint

On July 13, 2023 I purchased a ticket to Parade on Broadway through TodayTix by selecting the section I desired and paying the price for that section (order confirmation *************). However, when receiving my ticket for today's (7/21/23) performance, I found that I was seated in a different section than the one I paid for. On TodayTix's website, I selected and paid for what they labeled as Mezzanine (rows C-G, seats *******) but was assigned Mezzanine Row J, seat 24 which they labeled as "Side Rear Mezzanine" which is cheaper. I was not refunded for this price difference.I contacted TodayTix through both chat and phone about this dispute and they responded "Dynamic pricing at the box office allows for potential adjustments in seat boundaries, which means that the seats you see online may differ from the ones available when your order was processed at the box office". They offered me a $13 voucher code to cover the ticket processing fee, which I did not agree to but they sent anyways. When I asked to speak with a manager, the customer service representative said that I would instead receive a response through email, which basically was the automated response they seem to give everyone.How is it legal for TodayTix to display seating sections at various prices, knowing full well and not disclosing on their app or website that the box office may change the seating boundary, causing patrons like myself to pay higher ticket prices for a better seat, but then assigning them a section further back without compensation for the cheaper ticket price? Attached is my receipt indicating my desired seat in the Mezzanine. Also, attached are two screenshots of how TodayTix displays their seat selection and pricing for different sections. As you can see there's a huge difference between the Mezzanine and the Side Rear Mezzanine which I was assigned but did not purchase.Business Response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved. I still do not understand how TodayTix can continue to charge people more for premium seats and then switch them to a cheaper section. Even in their response, the information they provided is not disclosed when you purchase your tickets, and seems to be a common deceptive practice on their part according to other complaints I've read. It's like saying, we know you paid for 1st class seats on this flight but we assigned you economy instead.

I purchased tickets to a show on 4/4/23. I emailed them that same day to indicate that I had a medical condition and required an aisle seat. I was assured that the accommodation would happen. On 4/27/23, I received the tickets and they were in the middle of the row. I immediately emailed and called with no response. I tried chatting with an agent on their website with less than satisfactory responses to any inquiries. Finally, at 2;30, I got a response saying they would issue new tickets. At that point, I was frustrated. This was supposed to be a birthday present, and I didn't even want to go at that point. But they said they didn't give refunds so I was forced to sit and wait for them to issue the new tickets. The show was at 7 o'clock. The new tickets weren't issued until after 5:30. In order for me to have gotten to the show on time, I would have had to leave my house before the time the tickets were reissued. **************** was of no help and simply stated that despite not fulfilling the required accommodations, they would offer no refunds. Obviously, due to the time they delivered the new tickets, I wasn't able to go. I had no way of trusting that they would send me tickets much less that they would actually be correct. I would like to get my money back at least in some capacity and also to warn people to never use this service if they have any medical conditions whatsoever. As their customer service is atrocious and they will not honor your medical condition requests in anything resembling a timely manner.Business Response

I received an email regarding no fee $59 *********************** tickets. I was able to see the selected price for April 26 at 1 PM. I chose seats e114-e117 balcony tickets that showed $59 and when I tried to keep paying for these tickets at the final confirmation, it would revert me back to the original screen of selecting my tickets later that day I tried to purchase it again and it was only showing for $72. I have contacted customer care today since yesterday they were closed and they told me that I could not get it due to technical difficulties and that since then that offer has expired. This is false advertising especially since I am not able to get these tickets due to technical difficulties. That is no part on my side, I was just trying to get my disabled son and his brother tickets to see the show for his birthday as a single mother of four this was my one and only chance in due to technical difficulties as the customer care phone number stated Im screwed out of it now, which is very unprofessional.Business Response

I purchased tickets from Gold Star ( Today Tix is parent company ) for a drag show Brunch with the headliner being ****** from RuPauls Drag race. Upon getting to the event The announcer said ****** wasn't showing up. Nobody was notified via email or on Catalinas' bar and Grill social platform. Eureka was and has been in ***** performing. I reached out to Gold Star to ask for a refund because I paid to see Eureka as the MAIN ACT. I emailed Gold Star ( Today Tix) for a refund and they said they won't be offering a refund because they said EUREKA Performed. SHE MOST ABSOLUTELY did not. On top of FRAUD we were required to get a 2 drink min or an entree. They lied and I want my money back for the ticket. - Absolutely disappointed with this digital ticketing platform,TodayTix. My daughter graduated from nursing school. I surprised her with a day trip from ******* to ******** to watch a Broadway show. The play started at 2 PM our arrival to ***************** was supposed to be at 9:45 AM giving us more than enough time to enjoy the play however; when we boarded the plane in ******* the pilot announce the jet was having mechanical issues and that there will be a four hour delay. I mistakenly called Tele charge which is Broadway's Official Source for Shows and Ticket purchasing. I explained my situations to tele charge customer service & after a brief hold he explained that I had not purchased the tickets VIA tele charge. He apologized and said if you would have purchase the tickets with us, I wouldve immediately refunded you I called TodayTix expecting the same empathy tele charge providedBoy I was wrong. TodayTix customer service flat out immediately said absolutely not, no refunds, no rescheduling, sorry, cant help you. Please consider purchasing tickets with ********** and not TodayTix. Every time I try and use rush tickets on TodayTix I get Sorry all remaining tickets are being held by another customer please try again ****** have alerts on my phone and sit there ready for dead on 10am everyday click and get the same thing. I get as far as selecting how many tickets I want and the pop up is the same every time eventually after I keep trying it comes up as sold out. Is this I believe this may be a scam to get you to pay full price. Iv been trying to get tickets for a book of ****** in ****** for the last few months and other shows. This is all the same. I purchased tickets for left side orchestra. When I made the purchase there were lots of available good tickets. I checked the shows ticket site as well as the theaters. When you purchase tickets it says "best available at time of purchase". I called the company to confirm. So I had an idea of where my tickets should be. When I received my tickets I was shocked to see that I was all the way in the back of the left orchestra. I called the ************** said "its whatever the theater sends us" despite their website very explicitly saying otherwise. The must not expect customers to check what is available when they make a purchase (I did though & took a screenshot). I then checked& noticed that they had changed what qualified as "left orchestra". All the good seats on the left side of the orchestra had been changed to "center orchestra", so the seats I should have received, no longer qualified even though they charged me. It went from the entire left orchestra being included in my purchase to only the last several rows. They did this AFTER i made my purchase. So they changed the terms of my purchase, after the purchase and did not alert me and then refused to refund my money. This is fraud. Because it was day of, they told me that they could not refund my money OR provide me with different seats (remember, they will ONLY provide the tickets day of). They charged me for $160 seats and then removed those seats from the options, and gave me $80 seats. After several phone calls and emails, they offered to refund some of the money in the form of credit. I told them that I did not want credit and what they had done was dishonest and fraudulent, and they just stopped responding. I even sent them a screenshot of the tickets that were available when I made my purchase to show what should have been available. I checked several other sites and not a single one had anything on the left orchestra marked as "center orchestra".Business Response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:What TodayTix has written is (for the most part) patently false and goes against their own business claims. 1. They claim that a customer gets "best available tickets at the time of purchase". Now they are claiming that sections can change. 2. The production DID NOT change the sections. The only organization that was selling tickets to the show that had that section listed as center orchestra (at any time) was Today Tix. The shows website, not the theaters, website had anypart of the far left orchestra listed as "center orchestra", and as I said, at the time of purchase, neither did today tix. Even if they were telling the truth about the production changing the section (which they are not), it still is fraud to sell them under one section and then change what qualifies as that section, without telling the customer and giving them the option of a refund. Furthermore, the today tix site does NOT say that after your purchase, the seats that qualify under your purchase might change. Why would ANYONE buy tickets that could all of a sudden be much worse than originally promised. They do the same with the seats themselves. Their website says "best available at the time of purchase", but now they are claiming that it is based on whatever the theater sends them they day of the production. Those two things are mutually exclusively. They can not both be true, so today tix is committing false advertising.
The only thing that is true in their response is that they provided a partial refund. Yes that is true, but I had to discover that they were lying and that they changed the parameters of my tickets, and that they were now massively overcharging me. They did not reach out to alert me and offer the refund. In fact, I had to argue with them back and forth, and write several negative reviews, before they offered the refund. And in the end, all they did was charge me face value for seats I didn't want. If they had any respect for their customers or any desire to actually do the right thing, they would have provided a full refund. They want credit for doing half the right thing after I had to discover the issue and argue with them. Their system is set up to ***** over the customers. This idea of "we don't tell you your seats until day of the show but also, becuase it is day of the show, if there are any issues, it is too late to do anything about it. This business most definitely needs more oversight for fair practices.

I got the refund 4 months after the incident. Also, in they are not honest in their response to the BBB. They tried to imply they didn't do anything wrong but wanted to do the right this. This is not true. TodayTix made changes to their offering after i purchased and did not alert me, leading to this issue. They were dishonest, and only did anything about it because they got caught. The review and complaint should stay on the record.
