They want you to manage your deliveries through an app that usually doesn't work properly, meaning it doesn't save your changes so your stuck with the options they choose for you. This includes if you want a delivery or not. They don't send invoices, so your not even sure if you've gotten everything you've paid for. Plus, their costumer service is over seas good luck understanding anyone who answers.Review from Leslie S

I cancelled my plan after one week, got a call from a representative two weeks later saying I wanna give you a discount. I said sure, ill use it when reactivate They Restarted my plan without my notice and received a package today What!!!!! StopReview from Corey C

They make it impossible to cancel your plan. Tons of hassle. F*** this f****** company! If you call them or use their chat it takes it to ******. I don't want mother f****** ******. Update your f****** webpage so that it makes it automatic! If i click a f****** button that says cancel it should f****** cancel.Review from Kyle D

I signed up for HelloFresh after clicking on their link for *********************************************************************************************** even picking out my meal boxes. I still did it and went ahead and chose the 10 meals I wanted. Afterwards, it told me the cost after it already charged me prior to even picking out meals. It is not a true 10 free meals. They give you a discount on your first box and then a small percent discount on boxes after that. It is rather a small discount per box than anything for free. Apparently the discounts over time add up to a few free meals.Signing up for the 10 free meals also automatically signed me up for a recurring subscription that started less than a week out and they charge for it 4 days prior. It was super difficult figuring out how to cancel the subscription on the website but after figuring it out, it allowed me to cancel future purchases but would not allow me to cancel the first one online since it started immediately. After signing up for what was advertised as 10 free meals to try it, I got an unwanted subscription, hastle wasting time, and a box of food I had to pay for.Totally misleading, false advertising, and in my eyes a total scam in several aspectsReview from Laurie C

I was curious about the meals they provided since I only eat chicken. They also gave you a deal if you hit the toggle. So I wanted the deal if I chose to sign up. It seemed easy enough to cancel if I decided to. So I signed up. That gave me a chance to review the menu. I was very disappointed to see that there were very few choices for me. More meat items than chicken by far. While I was looking at the menu, I also added some food items , again by using the toggle. With no intention of ordering it. I was comparison shopping. I should be able to get all the way to check out and then change my mind with no financial fees. I was ripped off. This is a common practice to squeeze every drop out of an uninformed person. Of course they will be sending meals to me, of which I wont it. I wonder how many times this has happenedHelloFresh Response

I received two boxes from hello fresh and both times they were thawed out the ice packs unfroze the meat to where the juices were runny. The first box I didnt even get menus to even know what or how to cook the meal but was scared to use being that wed out I was home when the first was delivered and the second I was 30 minutes behind it being delivered. I called to cancel was told I would get a refund but was only refunded ***** shipping and he was rude as heck I had a video to show him how thawed out it was I called 45 minutes after delivery. Lost money, time and now I have to go shopping to replace. Also the portions were supposed to be for two people they didnt even measure out for barely oneHelloFresh Response

Another victim of HelloFresh Fraud! I agree with all of the negative reviews given to HelloFresh. The scammers charged me $70 for the order that was cancelled. When I requested a refund, they only gave me $43, lying about the fake discount that was provided to me. Btw, there is no history of order placed or payment processed. I spoke with agents twice and provided bank statements as evidence, but never received any money back, instead instructions to dispute the charges with bank. The website doesnt let you manage your own subscription online to scam people. I will officially file a consumer protection complaint and provide chat transcripts, emails and bank statements. The produce was routinely a few days old or missing. They sent ground beef in a ground turkey container. I was shocked. I knew it was beef but the label indicates its turkey. No way. We cancelled l.Review from Corinne B

I had a similar negative experience starting with a gift card to me which I never got to use. Before I knew it, I was getting food that I never ordered. I e-mailed with my request to stop and a few days later I got an answer that said they do not communicte by e-mail. Tried calling but a manager never phoned back as the person said they would I called **** to complain and try to get some of my money back(I never accepted two deliveries). A day later a manager phoned and they credited all my money. When I asked about reimbursing the gift card they said it wasn't bought through them which I found out was not true. They lie, and are the most unethical company I have ever dealt with. I will say kudos to **** Fraud department.
