The furniture that they delivered was no good, it was rot and weak. The bed broke down within 3 months. Been sleeping in the floor over 6 months. The furniture place keeps saying they're going to send people to fix the problem and they never come at all. We've made more than 5 appointments for them to come and never show up. We've come to the place more than two times and they set a day to come over the house and nobody shows up to fix any of the things that went bad. The side rails of the bed just gave off, the support system collapsed.Initial Complaint

On October 22, 2023 I went into Maddys home furniture and More on ** ************ in ****************** I pay the sum of $500 towards a bedroom set for my daughter I was told by the sale associate that the furniture wont be ordered until i pay the remaining balance of $648.78 then it will take two weeks for the furniture to be delivered. On November 16, 2023 I went the store and pay the balance after i paid the balance i asked the sale associate when will i get the furniture He then told me," It will take about 4 weeks because two weeks for ordering then the other for delivery." I then told him i dont worry want the furniture. The sales associate then said to me," I am unable to give you a refund the manager is the one that handle the refund, I can give you his number and you can call him." he gave me the number to the manager on the ****** the store card i called the number, however, no one answered. I went into the store two days after and spoke with another sales associate that identify himself as *****'s son and he is the supervisor i told him i would like a refund and he states that if he is to refund me they would have to charge me 35% of what i paid because he ordered the furniture the same day i made the deposit. I told him I wont be paying 35% for nothing thats not what I was told and I did not see that in the contract that i signed. I went through my bank I was able to get my money back then the bank denied my claim and send me to work it out with the furniture store I went back to the store we agreed on giving him $250 instead of the 35%. I was told by the manager that he would have the conformation number by Monday february 5, 2024. I called him on monday evening enquiring about the conformation number the manager then told me that he will have the conformation number by Wednesdays or thrusday. I called today which is friday the 09/02/2024. with no response from them about my refund. I have uploaded the agreement of him refunding me $898 and the original receipt of me paying $1148.78. In which ******* not have to pay him the $250 because he refused to show me prove of when he order the furniture to be charging me 35%.Business Response

Good afternoon
in regard of this complaint number ******** yes we had agreement with customer to charge them cancellation fee of $250 then for us to refund to customer credit card account the total of $898 and we at maddy's home furniture have tried to do the refund to customer card but as what customer have told us there bank changed there card information and that reflected on issue to do refund on new card ( as credit card processing company we deal with rejected that refund and we was told that due to new card information is different than original card was used at time of purchase and there regulation does not allow refund ) and to solve this issue we cald customer many times to explain to them and to finish up but customer did not answer the phone or call back till March the 5th customer called into store claiming no one called them , after that we finished with customer by giving them check number 1221 for the amount of $898 and we was done with this customer by doing the refund as we agreed to .
In regards to customer complaints the merchandise was ready to be delivered to the customer but the customer changed their mind about receiving their order and it was not as they said that merchandise was not available .

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved The check that I received from Mandys Home Furniture on 03/05/24 was placed on hold until 03/14/24. I have uploaded the check deposit receipt. This means I still havent gotten my refund.]In order for the BBB to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

It seems like this customer have other issues with there bank ,, if you remember with my first response to this complaint we as Maddys furniturre had problem to refund amount to customer card and to finish up wiith customer we paid them back on check .
From our side check was given to customer and was cashed from our bank account , i have attached file with the transaction been done and paid from our side

I purchased furniture back in March for $2800.00. They delivered defective merchandise. I called and sent them pictures and they agreed to send me new products as replacements. It has been 6 months and I still have not received anything. First they pushed it off anything it was not in stock and now they keep making excuses saying it is coming this week and next week but it never comes. They lie and say I did not pick up my phone and or say truck got stuck in traffic. They said truck broke down and would come the following day and not has arrived it. It has been this back and forth forever. They refuse to give me my money back and say they are going to deliver the promised items. I missed so many days of work waiting for them because they said they would arrive and I needed to take off and they never showed up. I just want my money back by now. On 05/23/2022, when the first delivery was sent, the entrance of the customer's house was very narrow at the time of delivery, and a sofa was forced, so on 09/20/2022, a replacement of the complete piece of furniture was sent, which was received in good condition by the customer as indicated by the attached service ticket.
