There are not enough words to express how terrible Emblem Health is. They wasted my time for over a year. They approved a grievance and over 13 months later I was told that the claim was never going to be paid. I cant count the number of correspondences *** had, the paperwork, and overall time I put into this matter. And when I asked to speak to a supervisor I was told I would receive a phone call within 48 hours. They called me a MONTH later only to tell me that I should go after my provider for the money that I paid AFTER THEY APPROVED MY APPEAL. Needless to say I will not be going after my fertility doctor, who is the sole reason that I was able to have children. I have morals, unlike the way emblem conducts their business.

3 years trying to find a dentist near my ** zip code. ***************** there are hundreds but when I call from list of providers to verify each say they do not! Forced to drive 500 mile RT to ** where my husband works even tho ***************** there are providers in **. SO I drive ******* each time. EH Reps read from a script and give me the same answer that there are tons of local Warren county providers yet can't confirm a single one and make same excuses for why they are on the list but don't participate! Maddening.

I took emblem dental cause i need some expensive work done on my teeth and it covered it about $20 every time i get paid every 2 weeks i get paid. But i go to dentist get cleaning usual. Im in net work at first then i get a bill cause i was out of network. I talk to my dentist they said they called i was in network and they have the clam number to prove it. But i called emblem now they say that dr out of network im responsible for the cost. My dental office told me the same im responsible for my bill that emblem didn't cover this was about 5 times this happens. Im tired of emblem health unprofessional manner how they run a business they should have a class action lawsuit against them cause it's showing in there reviews. I can't wait for new season to switch plans i been with this company for 7 useless years i can't anymore people will die or people will lose there teeth or always be in pain how this company run. This company has zero accountability for how they treat paying customers. Very embarrassing im recommendation that no one signs up don't go threw what others go threw it's literally pain for when your paying for coverage that you're covered for to begin with. Emblem health us a total FRAUD.

Companies a POS. Failed to reinstate coverage multiple times and now the newest issue is you can't fill a 30 day prescription until 32 days!! Explain how this company gets away with the stuff. Seriously considering trying to put together a class action lawsuit against this company. How do you allow a customer go without important medications for two days?? The ************* tried telling me that Feb 1st to March 3rd was 30 days so I asked her to go off the calendar and then finally a light bulb went off in her head. Totally disgusted with this company on how they treat their customers and somethings has to be done with this. They shouldn't be the ones telling you when you can get your prescriptions. Even the pharmacy thinks they're a joke and in complete shock that they let people go without medications before they release refills. Disgusted with this pathetic company

Unethical , immoral and inhumane. I suffer from a chronic illness my previous insurance, covered all my medications. It is imperative for me to receive my injections every eight weeks yet they repeatedly denied my medicine . My doctor appealed it. Emblem then sent me me an approval letter . I called ******* pharmacy ( also horrible ) to renew my medicine then they told me it was denied because the medicine was not in my plan but why approve it to deny it again. I told them how sick I was and they told me they will ask for an override. I am five weeks without medication and my health is severely declining.

Emblem Health are an awful organization. Disorganized, unreasonable and frankly unethical. They failed to reinstate my coverage on time following my wife's maternity leave, refused to give a prior-authorization for some scans I urgently needed on the basis we were showing as 'inactive' in their system (because THEY had failed to reactivate **!), then refused to reimburse me over $2,500 I had to pay for these STAT scans because there was no prior-authorization. But Emblem, you prevented me getting authorization because of your s**** ups!I appealed multiple times and was told by a customer care person there than in 15 years she has never known them to ever accept an appeal. Not once. At best that is questionable ethics, at worst something much more serious. I'm taking this to the attorney general's office. Avoid Emblem if humanly possible. An organization like this should not have any authority over your health. If I hadn't been able to afford that $2,500 a serious infection would have gone undiagnosed for an additional week and my health would have been permanently damaged. That's the outcome Emblem's incompetence was pushing me towards.

Terrible company to deal with. Disorganized. I chose Emblemhealth as a ******** advantage plan because they offered some nice perks that straight ******** does not. They also have most of the doctors and facilities in network that I am interested in (according to the website - I did not call to confirm). It saved having to purchase a separate ******** supplement and a prescription plan (part D). I enrolled with emblem about a month in advance so my new emblem policy would be in effect on 01/01/2023. Now it is the 11th of January and I still have not received my card. I was able to log into a portal and print out a paper version of my card, but when I called to find out where the actual card is, I was told it was first mailed on 12/30/2022 and it could take up to 2 weeks to receive. All the other "perks", that supposedly were included with this policy have to be accessed via the online portal. All the links deliver an error message stating I'm not recognized. Tech support couldn't resolve it, then finally told me it should be working on March 1st.Nobody knows what is going on at Emblem. Their tech support is helpless because their system is broken. I am changing to a different Insurance company. I can not do business with a company like this. I have lost trust in Emblem and I don't know if I can depend on them to pay the bills if I ever have something major to be covered.Stay away. There are other choices!!! I wish I could give "zero" stars

Worse insurance! They deny claims and tell you it's applied towards your deductible when in fact my benefits plainly state certain treatments are not applied towards deductible. Took 8 months to clear one claim just to begin another one after that!! My premium is so expensive. But I knew that and expected better benefits. Doesn't exist!

I chose EmblemHealth because they were (shockingly) the most affordable plan in ** that would allow me to keep my current doctors. I am high risk MS and have a thyroid issue and digestive issues so it was important that I kept my current doctors that I had under my old company's insurance. Monthly, I pay $659 which is astronomical especially for a plan with a $6500 deductible. My plan states I have dental but my dentist does not accept Emblem for obvious reasons below. I received a letter in the mail a few months ago regarding Emblem requesting a rate increase for my current plan. I couldn't believe it as I can't afford much more for health insurance and this already felt overpriced. Yesterday I received a letter in the mail that my policy was no longer being offered next year and I would have to buy a new plan. That's not why I am here. Receiving the letter yesterday reminded me that I did not see my auto pay go through for the month of October. I logged into my account and I saw I had a past due invoice with a noticed to pay it asap or be at risk of losing coverage. I sent Emblem an email reminding them I am autopay and was fearful to pay this manually as I didn't want to be double charged. I received a notification it would take 3 business days to hear from someone and at risk of being behind on payment, I decided to pay October. Big mistake. The money was taken out of my account immediately and I received payment confirmation. This morning, I awoke to an email from my bank that I was overdrawn. It seems Emblems autopay magically started working at 5am this morning and I was double charged.35+ minutes on hold with their customer service only to be told that a refund request takes 22 days and that I should apply this to November....I had confirmation numbers to prove their mistake but as this is a greedy corporation, my refund has to be approved by a higher up. Not only are they overpriced but their customer service is atrocious.
