I used Progeny as part of my employer benefit. I was told by Progeny and my doctors office that this was one of the best plan to have. With the benefit of 20/20 hindsight I firmly disagree. When I started receiving bills for services, I paid each one until I reach my medical plans out of pocket max. (Nevermind, that even this was an overpayment as my policy states that I was supposed to be responsible for 10% of costs after the deductible.) I asked why I wasnt charged according to my plan and each person I talked to came to different answer which led nowhere. When I hit the out of pocket max I stopped paying, and despite the case I have opened on this issue they separately send me past due notices and threaten me with collections. In this ongoing case we have exchanged more than 3 dozen emails. This has taken at least an hour a week for 4+ months. Furthermore we have Slowly made some progress, they finally agreed that my policy is as my employer states. They also acknowledged that I paid the max out of pocket. Ive gone back and forth with the staff had my case escalated numerous times. They even agreed to give me refunds that never materialized 3 times. I think they say this to convince me to stop getting in touch (just wait and youll see a non specific refund). I think from their end this makes it easier for the patient to forget and for them to send the erroneous bills to collections. Every acknowledgment they made has led to no change in my account or movement on their end. So all talked-out and Im now in the process of retaining a lawyer, to try and make sure these bills I was never obligated to pay actually go away. This is the only insurance company *** looked up reviews for, but was validated/frighted to see many similar stories on BBB. Although most people say they paid the overcharges. This company lies and drags things on while claiming to be luxury. Good luck. Be prepared to fight.

If I can give 0 stars I could. Please please double check what they bill you - its a shame they cannot be trusted as a company and I wish the better business bureau would investigate - they are taking advantage of i couples struggling with infertility. I was charged $400 and then $82 for just a consultation. This was after insurance kicked in. Thats two charges for one visit. I fought it for half a year - they called me in December to apologize - the call came from their billing department and said the $82 is correct and $400 for a 30 minute consultation is not right. Fast forward a few months I keep getting a bill for $400! I called AGAIN and needed to explain everything again how it was only a consultation to understand their services. Wellthis time they decided the $400 makes more sense and want to refund me the $82 and want me to pay $400! Very unprofessional and refused to pull call log or reports as to what they told me back in December. Do yourself and favor and do not trust this company. Its been a year now! Especially if you just want a consultation you are better off going to their competitors or paying just cash.

My wife is having worst time trying to deal with these people and get her second cycle started. She has given them two months notice before this cycle and it appears yet agian it might be delayed because there customer service/billing seems to be incapable of sending a authorization over to our Doctor. Who knows how many notes they have opened and the issue is still not resolved in TWO months! My wife meticulously plans ahead so this is not a short notice or preparation issue. This is a two months delay for something that was their mistake. This is a time sensitive issue and the other medications are already set to go. If need be I suppose we will have to look at other courses of action do to the time (delay) and ineptitude here. I work with merchants and customers daily in legal/billing and know there are mistakes and sometimes things take awhile to get resolved. But this is beyond the pale and I fail to see anything has been done for such a simple task.

This company delayed my treatment. They have some secretarial staff who tell you to either wait for your treatment or pay it out of pocket. This despite already having authorization in hand. They need to be sued for interfering with medical care and having secretaries pose as doctor. Yes it is that serious and I will seek justice about my delayed treatment.

Avoid Progyny if youre looking to provide benefits to your employees.y employer has worked with Progyny for years. Getting reimbursements from them is like talking with a scammy insurance company. They regularly find ways to delay sending reimbursements. They say X form is sufficient. Then wait a month a say the claims department actually needs Y form. The next time you submit Y form and they wait a month to say actually they need X form. Its almost like they make more money delaying payment. It is a frustrating and horrible employee experience. Save your employees the frustration and anger. Go with one of their competitors.

I have been trying to get my money back from Progyny for over 4 months now . They overbilled me first and sent me bills for the same medicines twice (and priced them differently for exact same dosage of medications). After I figured out that they over charged me, I have called in at least 8 times, gone through multiple escalations and have yet receive my money back. I keep getting told issue has been escalated, only to call in next time and get told nope, there is no such escalation on the ticket.I keep calling and having to repeat the same exact information. They were able to clear out my overpay with my insurance company right away, but 4 -months in, I still can't get my money back.

The worst service! The billing team is not able to answer billing questions all they can do is open a case. but do not expect a timely response. They have no escalation path forward to speak with someone in management. Their advocates are not capable of answering simple questions regarding claims being filled all they can do is open an escalation. *************************, was not knowledgeable about her own systems and was not competent. I have had to call over 5 times with no resolution.Services rendered in January and March *************************************** until December 2023. However, all claims between January and March and subsequent claims after March have all be billed and accounted for during their time of service in 2022. *****, is still unable to answer why this was the case outside of "this is very common and you are not the only patient." Apparently, this was supposed to make me feel better in some way that I was not alone.

When researching "Is Progyny a scam?", you know the company can't be that good! Received my bill, which is fine as I did expect to pay something. But why is my bill more than double what it should have been? And why is the invoice not detailed? If I am going to pay you thousands of dollars, I would absolutely like to know what I am paying for. The idea of fertility insurance is great but the way Progyny goes about it is very poor. When asking my dedicated care specialist with Progyny for a detailed invoice, she just says that she doesn't have it and that she can not help me get it. Do they really expect people to pay that bill without knowing what they are paying for??

Our charges were processed through my husband's insurance when they should have been processed through mine. Our doctor's ****** is willing to reprocess and so is our insurance company, but Progyny, as the go between for our doctor's ****** and our insurance company, insists that they cannot reprocess our claim. It does not make any sense that they cannot reprocess our claim if our insurance company and our doctor's ****** are willing to. The difference to us is many thousands of dollars. To get to the point at which Progyny told us that they cannot reprocess our claim took more than half a dozen calls and several months because Progyny would tell us they filed tickets to investigate the matter and then did not actually the file tickets on several occasions. They routinely took weeks to provide information and did not reach out to us. We had to keep calling them. Progyny's conduct was highly unprofessional in our case and their seeming unwillingness to work with our doctor's ****** or our insurace to reprocess our claim is inexplicable and very costly.
