      Like others, I booked a Handy tech when I bought a doorbell camera. I chose the day and time for install and they confirmed it - they even sent me a reminder. Then no one showed. I called and they said they hadn't been able to find a tech for that day, so my new appointment was two days later. No one showed that day either - same excuse. Their customer service **** are ESL and very hard to understand, and there seems to be no recourse or escalation. They just keep bumping my appointment because they "couldn't find a tech," so they confirm the appointment... but they don't confirm a pro. It's infuriating, and I keep taking time off work for no one to show. Unfortunately, I paid for the service with the doorbell purchase, so now I have to figure out how to dispute the charge on my credit card AND find someone else to install my doorbell cam.

      Stumbled onto this service through an online search for apartment cleaning. They make you sign up for recurring cleanings at a high price but I thought, "Hey, at least the cleaning will be done and I won't have to worry." This was false on every level. I had the service for 6 months until tonight. In that time, two cleaners never showed up, two were over an hour late, Handy was not able to secure a cleaner for one appointment (and told me about it after the fact), and I had to cancel one monthly appointment as well. So, not a great track record by Handy. Services described on their websites are half-truths. The communication and service is poor. The app never opened on my phone (Android). I don't like that the charges occur before the services are rendered, and they try to trap you into canceling appointments for fees because they notify you of them within 48 hours... close to the full charge cancelation window. This is actually pretty conniving. The final straw was politely asking the cleaner not to be late today because I was headed out for a couple of hours for my birthday weekend. I thought I had a chance to make sure this happened, but I never received a message back from them. I contacted support after 30 minutes of the scheduled start time to say I was leaving the apartment. At that point I got into a dog and pony show of getting a refund for their no-show and canceling the contract. Apparently I didn't use the right language to cancel the service despite saying "cancel the service." The service rep tried to educate me about how to ask for that while I was on the way out for my birthday. They were tone deaf, rude, and not service-oriented. After 6 months, only 2 appointments have been successful and I'd consider those to be B average. I'm fair-minded, not picky and I tip well. Handy is not able to provide enough value-add for me to continue to use them. And they are truly buyer beware.

      This company is a sham. Half of the time their cleaners do not show and there is no communication. When you call to ask what happened, they say its not their issue - that the cleaners are independent and they have zero control over the flakiness of their people. I get that they are all ***** but really?! You cannot be allowed to run a business like that Then you have to wait 48 hours to rebook, which is absolutely ridiculous. Do NOT use this company if you are having an event or you absolutely need to have a Cleaner show up - its too risky. Also, unless you are vocal and demand good talent, they will send you the worst cleaners with the lowest reviews. Many of the cleaners wont stay the entire time they dip out early. Be very careful.

      I did not choose this company. Made a purchase through Crate and Barrel and the installation was arranged through them. My experience was less than pleasant. This company is very unreliable. 2 no show appointments, tech did not call to notify me. All Handy customers service reps are ESL, difficult to communicate with them, unprofessional, no customer service focus. They offered me a third reschedule, said thanks but no thanks. I DO NOT RECOMMEND HANDY.

      A complete waste of money. The company and the app. I chose the biweekly service and was able to vet the person I wanted to clean my apartment. I paid extra to clean inside the fridge, which is weird, but ok. The outside and the inside of the fridge were still filthy. The second time this person was supposed to come to my house she got sick. Understandably, she cancelled. The app then did not give me the choice to reschedule, just automatically sent a man to my apartment, even though in my preferences I selected women. This man was new to the app, no photo, no reviews. Handy.com has to do better in terms of their service, absolutely unacceptable. All around trash experience and preferred to eat the $99 cancelation fee instead of deal with this again. I will be going by word of mouth and ******** groups instead of this scam.

      Horrible experience. Cleaners failed to follow instructions to enter my home at multiple visits. When I reached out to customer service, they gave me the run around. I asked to delete my account and end service in August. It's now November and they continue to charge me monthly for cleanings I did not schedule and do not want. Avoid at all costs. Unethical business for ********************* alike.

      Person who was to assemble called earlier this morning, the only thing that I could understand what is said was *****. I kept telling him I couldn't understand him he hung up on me. I called the company and they told he I had to wait for 1/2 hour after he was scheduled and I did. I called back and asked for a total refund. I WOULD NEVER USE THEM AGAIN.I only gave one star because you can't leave none.

      Absolutely horrible. Poor customer service and communication. Definitely do not recommend! They canceled my booking without telling me and attempts to communicate with them have been nothing but frustrating.

      I have requested specific pros according to their availability, and then at the last minute, the job gets picked up by someone else I don't know, and typically they don't do a good job cleaning.The company should notify the customer when a pro assigned to the job is no longer available instead of forcing you to either accept the new pro (who may or may not do a good job) or reschedule the cleaning and be charged a ridiculous $50 late rebooking fee. That's almost half of what they charge to clean my tiny studio.I have tried calling customer service several times, and they pass you around and put you on hold as soon as they figure out that you want to cancel.Now, after a 4th attempt, I am on the phone with an agent who wants to reassign my cleaning instead of canceling the service like I already asked. This is infuriating!
