I sent some jewelry to this company to be appraised. They responded that my jewelry was not worth anything and that if I wanted it returned I would have to respond within a certain amount of days and if I did not respond they would destroy my jewelry. This jewelry had sentimental value and I did not want it to be destroyed. When I clicked the option to have my jewelry return to me, they insisted that I pay $50 for their service or for whatever. In order for me to get my jewelry back I had to pay the $50. Their website clearly states that there is no charge whatsoever for their service and the $50 was just something that they add on that you have to pay so that you can get your jewelry back. It's total blackmail

I mailed 3 pieces of jewelry to WorthyFew on June 8, 2023 in hopes of selling it.According to the literature they sent me, the transaction has a "Love your offer Guarantee" and it also states that an offer would be sent to me within 72 hours from time they receive it. I got an email from them that the jewelry was received on Saturday, June 11th. That is the last correspondence I have had from them even though I have emailed them and also called and left a message. Jewelry was a 14kt gold "***** Ruby" ******** that has an appraisal value of over $3,000, a 14kt gold tanzanite ******** (no appraisal) and a 14kt gold ring with a blue 1/4 ******************* (no appraisal). I don't know what dollar amount equals "grand theft". I went through this process in hopes of selling my jewelry to get the money I need to make car repairs. I am retired and live on SS fixed income. I need HELP to resolve this because I am getting no response from this company at all.

The company advertises they will buy your jewelry for higher price than local jewelers or **** shops. They send you a kit to mail the jewelry to them. Follow up was fine until I questioned the advisability of mailing the jewelry with only a $2000 insurance. They say they'll send you an offer and if you don't like it they will mail your jewelry back. I mailed 3 rings - a diamond ring that has been appraised at almost $11,000; a Levian pink sapphire and chocolate/white diamonds valued around $1000; a gold and red stone ring I thought was rubies; two 14kt gold earring sets (one with diamonds that was valued around $500); a sterling silver bracelets inset with Lapis Lazuli and fire opals valued around $300; and a jewelry case filled with about 10 pairs of earrings that I wasn't sure of the value. I never received an offer from them.....instead, a week after they received my jewelry they sent me a check for $105! This is a JOKE! I feel like I've been scammed..... They are not answering my emails and when you call the phone number it states calls are not being accepted at this time. I WANT MY JEWELRY BACK!!!!! Or pay me what they're worth.....somewhere between $8-10,000 would be fair.

At this time, I have been contacted directly by Worthyfew regarding complaint ID ********, without my issue being resolved................. after several weeks and dozens of emails back and forth once I received their ridiculous offer/check of $105 for approximately $15,000 worth of jewelry, and my telling them I was getting ready to press charges for felony theft of property, they finally agreed to send my jewelry back if I would send them a photo showing I voided out the check they had sent....I complied with this request and about 4-5 days later received an email from them stating my jewelry was being mailed back to me; however, when clicking on the "track your shipment" there was no **** tracking number provided.  I have asked 3-4 times since for them to provide me with the tracking number, but as yet have not received one.  Therefore, my issue has NOT been resolved satisfactorily.

In order for the BBB to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

      Sincerely,

Sent my jewelry to be appraised for possible purchase on 6/5/23. They received it on 6/8/23. I emailed them on 6/15/23 to find out the status of their review. I received a reply from them on 6/15/23 that they had sent me a check for $52 which I cashed. The check did not have their company name on it, no letter was enclosed and no indication on the check that it was for the jewelry I sent. I thought the check was from ***** Fargo because it had only WF on it. Had I known the check was for the jewelry, I would not have cashed it. They sent me $52 for a piece of jewelry that was worth thousands. I immediately send them an email indicating that I wanted my jewelry returned and would send them a check for $52 to reimburse them. I have not heard back from them except for them to say that cashing the check resulted in the permanent sale of the jewelry. The paperwork they initially sent me said that I had a Love Your Offer Guarantee, copy is attached. I want my jewelry returned and I will gladly remit a check to them for the $52. As you can see in the attached photo of their check, no place does it indicate the name Worthyfew, only WF which could be ***** Fargo. As you can see in the photos of the jewelry, $52 is more than just lowballing, its outright thievery. I want my jewelry back, or an additional amount to warrant my selling this piece and chain to them. I am not satisfied with the manner in which they handled this, nor am I satisfied with the amount they sent.

Client ID# ******** on June 9,2023 I emailed WorthyFew, they sent me postage paid envelope to send my ring. I mailed back to them June 9, 2023. Received email from them June 12 stating my jewelry arrived and they will evaluate. On June 14 received email stating my jewelry had no gold and no diamonds and they can not buy or sell it and did I want it returned to me. I emailed back stating I didn't understand what they were saying because the ring I sent them was 14K Yellow Gold Ring with 35 Diamonds, I have an appraisal for the ring. I sent this message twice, then they deleted their email. I sent them another email questioning their decision and asking them to return my ring. Two days have past and no reply, no contact, their phone number doesn't work and now I fear I have lost this family heirloom worth $5000. What do I do now? ****** help me.

Today, 6/12, I received a check from this company for jewelry that I had sent for their evaluation. They were supposed to contact me with an offer which they never did. Instead they sent this ridiculous check for payment. I have sent numerous emails and tried to call them over the last few days since their policy is that a check must be returned within 4 days for the transaction to be voided. Their website and their check have no address to return this check to. A quick scan of the internet showed tht this has happened to many customers and they were all scammed. Their advertising on ******** is all lies and I am heartsick over the loss of a potential $5k. I thought I was dealing with a company called worthy and when I went to return my jewelry, worthyfew came up and I did not notice. I am returning their check and a letter to their alternate address to the attention of their executive officer. This is such an outrage. Can you help me to get my jewelry back?

Worthyfew received my jewelry. I received a check in the mail for $52 with no other communication or who it was from. No receipt, nothing. I thought it was from my Chase account and took it to the bank. The check was rejected. My jewelry was certainly worth more than that. Upon researching reviews I learned this was a scam. I would at least like the $52.
