    I was supposed to get a weeks worth of deliveries on April 12. It is now the 14th and I still have not received my delivery. Ive reached out to the customer service multiple times being told I was receive an update within ********************************************************************************* was they couldnt find an account however I have screenshots through text with another representative from their text team who is able to find my account so I dont understand the confusion or the lack of information. Still dont have my food I would like a full refund now that has been three days. I do not want the food and would like a refund and they have yet to respond.

    I went to the website through social media to review the program which requires you to enter your payment information before you can see the cart. After seeing what was offered I decided that I did not want to continue and followed the instructions to cancel. This meant contacting hungry root by text which I did and text with an automative system. I received a reply to provide the email address associated with the account and I responded with the email address. I received a second text stating it will take 24 hrs before someone reaches out to me. I have no items in my cart for the delivery date scheduled for April 15th and have skipped all future deliveries. I contacted them per their instructions today the same day the order was placed. I no longer have access to the page either since it was created through a 3rd party on social media

    Received my first order. Food was delivered in a large box, it was **** warm, raw chicken packaged with lunch meat and warm, risk for salmonella poisoning. A number of containers were cracked and the contents of the containers were spewed all over everything. There was a box of pasta that was wet from the spewed contents. I would not feed this to my dog!! After reading these reviews, now Im so worried I wont get my money back. I sent an email to the company immediately after opening the box. This is unsafe and unacceptable!! Disgusting!!

    I tried Hungryroot, because I had received a gift card for it. I decided to skip other deliveries, except for the first one, as I wasnt much of a fan. They proceeded to charge me $143.81 without my knowledge, and sent the next order anyway. I had contacted customer support, and they basically told me there was nothing they could do, except pause deliveries. Very upset about the whole service. I also did not know that when you place an initial order, that they automatically sign you up for more deliveries, which is why I had skipped them, as I did not want them. I cancelled the service, yet am fearful that they will still somehow still charge my account and send me unwanted food.

As a weekly subscription service, we ship a new order every week unless the order is skipped, or the subscription is paused or cancelled prior to cut-off at 7pm ET the Monday or Thursday before the upcoming delivery (depending on chosen delivery day). While the subscription was paused for 8 weeks, the pause was initiated three hours after cut-off for the second order, so that order wasn't paused as it was already finalized. We can confirm that the subscription was cancelled on April 5th, so there will be no additional charges or boxes sent. We've also fully refunded the second order as a courtesy today. Refunds can take 5-10 business days from the date of issue to process, and we appreciate your understanding.

We don't currently have the capacity for phone support and our ************* team is available via text and email at this time. On April 4th and 5th, agents assisted with confirming the price of the first box and cancelling the subscription as requested. The box was confirmed to have arrived in good condition by the customer and since the subscription is cancelled, there will be no additional charges or boxes sent.

    I ordered a meal box from the company and it was never delivered. I reached out and requested a refund and got an initial response that it was only 1 day behind and that they were going to give it till the next day at 9pm and if the delivery did not come they would discuss resolution. I requested a full refund as this was money I allocated to feeding my family that week and were planning on using the meals kids as our dinners for the week and with no delivery it was an inconvenience to my family. I also had concerns regarding the extended time for the delivery and safety of the food but at that time they would not provide a refund. The box was not delivered by 9pm on 4/3. I reached out 3 times today with no response. I cancelled my future subscriptions with the company and request only a refund for the goods I purchased that were never delivered.

After review, I decided that I did not want to continue and followed the instructions to cancel. This meant contacting ************* which I did by email and chat. I received a reply to provide the email address associated with the account and I responded with the email address. I received a second email asking for the email address associated with the account and I provided that information a second time. I did not receive any additional response until today I received a text about a second order. I checked the website and saw my account was still active and an order was being delivered today April 2. I followed the instructions again to cancel which allowed me to cancel on the website and contacted customer care that I didn't want the first order which is why I contacted them per their instructions on the same day the order was placed. Now I am told that I canceled after the order processed and it can't be stopped. ********

    I used this service in the past and deactivated my account about a year ago then the other day I noticed that I had a pending charge for Hungryroot. I never ordered anything from them. I went onto the website and saw that there was a pending delivery, I had to search forever to figure out how to cancel this delivery. I canceled it and they credited me back the money but I am trying to take my credit card information off their website so this doesn't happen again but it is not possible to remove my credit card information and their help support is not getting back to me. I want my account cancelled from their site (not just deactivated). This is fraud.

    We truly apologize for the concern and frustration caused! The account was logged into and reactivated on 3/15/2025 at 2:30 pm, and the plan size was updated. Reactivation entails signing back into the account and interacting with a purple banner or red button that confirms reactivation. Changes to the plan or viewing upcoming orders aren't possible without first reactivating. As a weekly subscription service, we charge and process a new order weekly unless the order is skipped or the subscription is paused or cancelled prior to cut-off. We can confirm that agents assisted with skipping this order on our end and issuing a full refund before anything shipped. Customers can request the removal of payment information from our ************* team, and we apologize for the additional inconvenience caused. We've removed the payment information from our site and initiated the account deletion process on our end. A notification will be sent when the process is complete, and refunds will finish processing within 5-10 business days, if not sooner.
