Week Junior auto subscribed me despite me cancelling renewal and getting a written confirmation over email from their customer service team. This seems to be a consistent pattern based on the reviews below. They seem to prey on people who dont check on their credit card statements.

I subscribed for the print issue for two years without a problem but after my renewal this year, I stopped receiving all weekly issues.Customer service said theyd extend my subscription for the number of weeks missed but several weeks later Ive yet to see any issues.I also requested the missed back issues but was told theyre not available. I resubmitted my complaint to The Week and after several more days, Ive yet to receive a reply. The Week magazine is excellent but their subscription service is horrible.

The Week's subscription model is managed by a vendor that will stop at nothing to get you to send them money. My elderly mother subscribes and thinks she has to send money every time a subscription renewal reminder is sent out. The subscription renewal reminders are couched as discounts for renewing early and show the INCORRECT expiration date for the current subscription. Furthermore, if you log into your account on their website (a process made convoluted), you may find that they have changed the date on the website that is supposed to say when your subscription expires, slowly moving it up to an earlier date.

This is the most corrupt organization. Out of nowhere I received a magazine from them with a flyer in it offering me free six issues. I mailed it in and received only two magazine and then it stopped. I e-mailed them but received nothing but form-letter type responses. And then I received a BILL in the mail saying I owed them for a subscription and that the bill is overdue. I NEVER ordered a subscription from them. And if you look at the fine print, if you even actually receive six free issues and then ordered a subscription they will deduct the six "free" issues from your subscription and you will end up paying for them. But they don't even send you the six issues like the flyers says. Next thing you are being billed and saying you are overdue. Just try e-mailing them. You get nothing back but useless meaningless words. They are totally corrupt. I had even planned to get a subscription after I received my six free ones but now I will never ever order a subscription from them.

Out of nowhere, I suddenly started receiving The Week news magazine in my name. I NEVER subscribed to this magazine or authorized a subscription. On their website, I learned I owed them $50 for 25 issues (half year). When I asked if they could tell me from where my subscription was initiated or who authorized it, I was told they do not have that info. Now I see that this business has an F rating from the BBB and there are numerous instances of others having similar issues with unauthorized subscriptions. PLEASE STOP THEM !!! Thank you much. **** * / ********** PS I gave them one star because I couldn't give them zero. STAY AWAY from this magazine!!!
