1 starAfter initial subscription for online delivery. I noticed I've been charged $150 every four weeks. When I called they said after the initial subscription they have the right to change the charges. This is outrageous. I immediately stopped by subscription.Review fromPeter D

After canceling my online subscription prior to auto payment to my credit card, on December 16th, got the $40 auto charge. I called customer service and explained the situation. They were helpful and refunded the amount to my credit card two days later on December 18th. I was happy until on December 20th they charged again. I had asked that auto bill pay be shut off but it didn't happen. Now I think they just keep charging until you make multiple complaints.New York Daily News

After 1 1/2 years of delivery, they want to now charge me for fuel costs of $1.05 a week retroactive, I also went into contract with them for a year in advance and paid in full.New York Daily News

According to the cancellation policy you can cancel anytime. My wifes renewal was July 1, 2024. We cancelled on July 1, 2024 on the dashboard after being charged $19.96 on July 1, 2024. Received a confirmation email. As of July 9, 2024 I did not see a refund on my credit card. So I called them and spoke to my named **** who informed me that since it was prepaid that there is no refund and the subscription will cancel on July 29, 2024. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told he is a supervisor and that there will be no refund.I think this is fraud and criminal, as the policy states it can be canceled anytime and there is no mention in there policy that if its prepaid that you have to wait until the end of the subscription time for it to cancel.The email address used for this subscription is different, this review will not allow me to add it.since Im writing this from my email account.New York Daily News

September 2023, I purchased a 1 year subscription for my father in law for $155(2.99 a week) for his birthday. June 10th I got charged $1,482. I immediately called and asked what the charge was. It was for a subscription for September 2024-2025 ($28.99a week). I asked to be refunded. The representative said how about 3.99 a week. I told them no thank you! I would like a refund bc it was a one time gift. I called 8x from June *****th. Every time the representative had a different lie, it was still in investigation, it was released on June 12 then on June 19th, supervisors told me the same lies. My refund would take 7-10 days bc it was in billing investigation. On June 19th, they told me it was released from investigation and I would see my credit. On June 27th, I followed up and they told me it was my credit card company and they needed to release the refund. I called Chase freedom and no refund was pending. I filed a dispute with chase freedom but it is completely criminal what the daily news does. They have ZERO intention of giving you a refund, I read the reviews and thought, they didn't fight hard enough to get their money back, but it is impossible. Everyone lies to you including the supervisors. Daily news is a thief and I hope someone is starting a civil suit against them.New York Daily News

I purchased a 26-week, 7-day subscription as a Christmas gift for my mother. The subscription cost $77+.This subscription was paid in full for THE NEW YORK DAILY NEWS. Ok?THE NEW YORK DAILY NEWS.My mother began receiving her subscription on 12/19/23. She never received her paper the second day of her subscription. Then she started receiving THE WRONG PAPER.Distribution kept delivering The New ********** a publication of much lesser value than THE NEW YORK DAILY NEWS. This happened 3 times. I have called TNYDN twice in attempts to receive a refund since the item received was not what had been purchased. I placed a call to TNYDN on 12/26/23 to rectify the situation of having the wrong paper delivered. The *** assured me they'd have distribution deliver the right paper from then on out. Well guess what? My mother received two more editions of THE WRONG PAPER since that phone call. I don't like being robbed of my hard-earned income so I decided to cancel the subscription and get a refund. I spoke with not one but two supervisors by the names of *** and Roms who both promised I'd receive a refund within 7 days. Here we are over a month later into the new year and I have not received a refund. When I spoke to **** she tried to tell me that I never made an initial refund request. I made the refund request with *** on 12/28/23. During this phone call, *** canceled my subscription and claimed to have processed my refund. After waiting 10 days, I never received it so I called again. I made my second request with Roms on 1/5/24. She gave me a confirmation #: 1257Z314915 and assured me that I'd receive a refund. I'm still waiting almost one month later. I informed **** during our phone call on 1/5/24 that if I did not receive a refund then I would take further action and report both her, ***, and THE NEW YORK DAILY NEWS to the BBB so here we are.I. 1 starI signed up for 7 day delivery. When I called to ask why the paper was not being delivered, I was told that my account had been cancelled by me, which was not true. I was also told , by more then one agent of the Daily News, that my money would be refunded in 7 days. When this did not happen I called back, and this time I was told it would be 6 weeks before my payment was refunded. The people at this company cannot keep their lies straight. I am still trying to decide if they are too incompetent to operate as a business, or they are just thieves
