I tried dazn to see what the app was about for about a month. I seleceted the month to month subscription because I wasnt sure if I would even like the app. As I suspected the app is terrible and most of the content on the app is available for free on ******** I cancelled my subscribtion in july and they have a ********************************************************************************************************* When I was charged for september that is when i decided to contact customer support. I was on hold for an hour just to be told that they would continue charging my account for the remainder of a twelve month contract that I wasnt even made aware of. The content is terrible, customer service is terrible and the company uses misleading tactics to trap its customers in a malicious contract. Not only would I not want to be a customer for this company but I honestly wouldnt invest in it either. This is bound to fail due to lack of respect for the customers and dirty tactics. I can see a class action lawsuit in their future. If amazon cant win what would make "dazn" think they can?Customer Answer

I CANCELED THE SUBSCRIPTION AND I CHECKED MY BANK STATEMENT AND DAZN CONTINUED TO CHARGE AND RUN MY CARD WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION AND AFTER I HAD CANCELLED THE SUBSCRIPTION. I HAVE THE EMAILS ETC. WHERE I HAVE CANCELED THE SUBSCRIPTION ETC. THERE WERE MULTIPLE CHARGES FOR THE ***** AMOUNT OF $80.00. FROM JUNE 6 2023-SEPTEMBER 6 2023 ALL MONTHS FOR THE AMOUNT OF $19.99.Initial Complaint

I am being charged a year long monthly fee even though I cancelled all services. I rented a pay per view fight cancelled after fight and now being charged 20 a month for nothing. This company is a scam.Customer Answer

DAZN has charged my account after the subscription has ended and made it nearly impossible to prevent customers from receiving a refund and preventing this issue from occurring. In essence, DAZN is fraudulently and unethically allowing for a payment gap to occur in their process, whereby unsuspecting customers are baited into purchasing a subscription only to find out their is a contract level process involved with the subscription. Usage of terms like cancel anytime are disingenuous and unethical because cancelation does not prevent from being charged in the future since their process works like contracts. I canceled my subscription in May, made a one time purchase of an event, and did not renew my subscription. Even so, I was charged and the website displays it intends to charge me again in the future. Further, there is no way to solve this gap based on the current process. I believe DAZN is aware of this and takes advantage of this gap to fraudulently and unethically charge customers who are burdened to solve this issue with their banks. The delays are still beneficial to DAZN in a similar to way merchant return fraud schemes only at a more sophisticated level.Customer Answer

I received notice I will not be charged again, however, no evidence provided my payment information has been removed. Last time I was told I wouldnt be charged, the system randomly started charging me again for no reason when I least expected.

I subscribed to DAZN streaming only to find it highly disappointing and unreliable. I promptly cancelled but have been informed by their support that I 'must' continue paying for their service for the rest of my annual plan. I bought the pay per view and split it with friends where it was 60$ and made the account and realized it asked for a membership where I pressed on the second one which was supposed to be monthly flexible where you can cancel for 25$ a month while the first/ standard option was 20$ a month for a year contract which who in the right mind would choose for 1 fight, I get charged only 60$ at the spot and then canceled subscription so I dont forget same night and never got a confirmation which was weird but now exactly a month later, Im surprised with a 20$ charge where I contact them and for my surprise I have a yearly subscription, I even double checked with friends and we did press on the monthly flexible plan and when I contacted them they basically told me in a rude way its your problem and you have 12 months and we wont do anything about it where I also asked for just paying a cancellation fee generously which was a shutdown idea and neither can I downgrade the membership so really trying to scam me for 12 months because who knows what was wrong with their website that night cause I also never got the order confirmation of my subscription until next day morning which was hidden in all the other emails I got, really unprofessional and not even trying to help a customer to earn me again in future fights, definitely dont recommend them for anyone and will make sure no friends or family fall for their scams or even be in that position with a terrible business that dont even try to help their customers, several other complaints from people too can prove my point of similar situations.Initial Complaint

What I thought was a monthly subscription was an annual subscription. I cannot cancel anything because the chat shows an "error" message. No customer support through the phone because they hide the phone number. All I wanted to do was watch one boxing event that I paid in full for the *** and it turns into an annual subscription. 08/07/2023 - I was subscribed to *** game pass through a *** last year and paid to watch *** games through a subscription. *** game pass rights were then handed over to DAZN and my account was migrated to DAZN without my consent. DAZN blocks anyone from accessing their site through a *** even though it is completely legal and allowed to protect my privacy. I am unable to access the site with or without the ***.If I am on a *** I receive an error message stating DAZN is not available in my country If i remove the *** I receive this error message:Your DAZN account is not available in your current location You can only access DAZN in the country where you created your account.Error code: ********** DAZN charged me $183.10 for a subscription that I cannot cancel, cannot use, and cannot adjust. Their phone number listed on their FAQ/HELP page is out of service ***************).I have contacted their customer service multiple times. I have several chat logs showing they would remove my subscription and close my account but have yet to receive any confirmation or refund.They continue to tell me to wait for updates but refuse to let me speak with anyone or give me a timeline for resolution. From what I have seen they will continue to push off the resolution and continue charging the customer with no way to cancel. This company is a SCAM and the fact that *** game pass authorized my account to be migrated without any option to cancel or delete the account through their website is a disgrace.Customer Answer

I signed up for a flexible pass with Dazn a few weeks ago. I used the service for one day, to watch one event, and then requested to cancel before my monthly pass was up. At the time I signed up, I was told I could "cancel at anytime" and I sent them screenshots of the advertisement. There was no mention of any kind of probationary period. When I requested to cancel, I was told I had to provide 30 days notice, and there would be an extra month's charge. Despite sending screenshots of what I saw when I signed up, they refused to make the cancellation effective immediately. I told them their business practices were false advertising and they told me, "This is our policy. We hope you'll consider us again in the future." I can assure everyone, I will not. I have contacted my bank and blocked any future payments. It's one thing if a 30 days notice is their policy, but it's another to hide it from their advertisements and suggest you can, "cancel at anytime."Initial Complaint

I purchases a PPV for a fight hosted by DAZN. I was not able to view the purchased fight. I reached out immediately to ***************** but no one responded. I used the chat feature and no one responded. Starting on 4/24/23. There after I repeatedly emailed customer service. I am attaching the correspondance where DAZN has stated they needed time to investigate the issue. They have not replied to my request for a refund. I am seeking your help.
