I went the clinical part of the ww trying to gather information. I filled out the form. I picked the 12 month plan. Why? I dont know. I stopped at the part where they wanted a list of my meds. In the next few days my card was charged $129. So, it is a 12 month contract and they will continue to charge $129 for 11 more months. This will be a total of $1548. So, they charged me for medication I still havent received. At that time I hadnt even given them the list of medications, and havent had a video call with *** I contacted the clinical care team. I said that I wanted to cancel this. My pcp, and psychiatrist said that it would not be the right thing for me due to my medications. They will not cancel it. I feel duped. I want to cancel the clinical part of the charge, but still have the app. I feel like they were sneaky with application.Business Response

WW auto-charges me monthly for medication. However, I was charged an extra $95 on 3/20/25. When I have called and chatted with customer service, they tell me this is a large system issue affecting many other users' accounts as well they are not able to provide any information or even an *** on resolution. This unauthorized charge has caused a problem with my bank account. I need ********************** to get this resolved and a credit issued to my debit card immediately.Business Response

I noticed on my statement recently a charge from weightwatchers for a service I was under the impression was cancelled only to find out that they have been charging me since May of 2022. I have not utilized the service in that long. There was a promotion at the time and I cancelled and opted out of renewing since in the 3 month time frame I did not use the service. When I reached out to WW their best they could do was offer one month of a refund and not even a full month. They deducted or pro rated the amount. I believe its a slap in the face to be charged $884 over a 3 year period for something they are able to clearly see has not been used. I want to be credited at least 1/2 of the $884 they charged me for services I clearly did not utilize or even know I was being charged for. I have done this with them before being charged after a promotion when I canceled well in advance. Its very frustrating and shows how much they DONT CARE when their **** cant even take the situation seriouslyBusiness Response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:I was charged $800 for a service I did not use and was under the impression I had canceled. I am sure you are aware that as you say subscriptions arent actively monitored, you have a way to look back and see how many times over the 3 years Ive logged in to the app to use it.
6 months refund for a service I was charge for over 3 years that I did not use ONCE after the service was canceled is unfair

On February 11, 2025, at approximately 7:30 PM, I visited the Weight Watchers Clinic website to gather information about their app and potential guidance from a dietitian. In order to explore the available features, I was required to enter my credit card information. After doing so and reviewing the program details, I quickly realized this was not the service I was seeking. I immediately discontinued the process. At 7:38 PM, I received a message from a care coordinator. I explained that I was not comfortable proceeding, especially since the program required lab work and other medical involvement. I noted that I have epilepsy and mental health conditions and did not wish to pursue a plan involving such medical oversight. I simply wanted general tips for healthy eating. I requested to cancel the plan and asked for a refund, as the charge had just been processed minutes prior. The care coordinator asked if I wanted to unsubscribe, to which I replied yes, again requesting a refund. I received no direct response. The next morning, another representative informed me that a refund would not be issued. I found this process misleading and unclear, as it seemed intentionally designed to enroll users before they fully understand the commitment. Over the next two months, I repeatedly reached out, explaining my medical concerns and requesting a refund for the charges now totaling two months. I was repeatedly told I did not meet the requirements for early termination, with no further clarification. Requests for a phone call or to speak with a supervisor were ignored or redirected to other care coordinators, none of whom had the authority to resolve the matter. In March, I was finally told they would no longer communicate with me about the issue. Despite being respectful and patient, I felt dismissed and taken advantage of. I believe I am entitled to a refund, cancellation of the program, and deserve a response from someone in leadership who can properly address these concernsBusiness Response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved becauseI have given the business information from my doctor showing my epilepsy diagnosis and have had NO response from them! I was told they would immediately cancel and refund my payments once they received it, it was submitted prior to this complaint and they gave only responded via chat saying they need something from my doctor after it was sent to them. They continuously give me the same automated responses and do not actually look I to the issue. I tried to cancel on the very first day, but theyve been giving me the run around since Im still requesting immediate cancellation and a refund of all payments

Weight Watchers clinic markets themselves as being able to prescribe weight loss medication, which is the sole reason why I signed up for their monthly clinic service. They do not make it clear that you might not receive the medication. They do not make it clear that you're going to have to jump through hoops with your insurance company. They do not make it clear that there's a high likelihood that you won't get the prescription that you're after. They also don't make it clear, that even after being denied of the medication by insurance that they're going to hold you to a one-year contract/subscription for services that are no longer applicable since they wouldn't able to provide the medicine, which is the reason I subscribed in the first place.Business Response

3/14/2025 I signed up thinking it was a one time charge of $129. Membership says cancel anytime. I did not realize the commitment was 12months. This would mean by cancelling, I would still be charged $184 until March 2026. I immediately tried to cancel and their customer service was closed. When I did call during normal business hours, they refused to give me my refund of $129 even though none of their services were used. They also could not stop the membership. I immediately knew I made the mistake of joining as soon as I realized it, I tried to back out and was unable to. This would mean that over a year, they will take about $2400 for services I will not use.Business Response

On suggestion by my ************ Physician, I joined Weigh Watchers (WW), to help w/ obesity and high blood pressure. My *** suggested I could be put on a weight loss medication (GLP1) or similar, as part of a weight management plan. I signed up for a 1 year WW Clinic subscription on 03/18/2025, for approx. $190 per month. I understood from the contract that as long as I was receiving the weight loss medicine, my subscription would renew. If I was not able to receive the medicine, my contract would revert to a non Clinic subscription for $70+ per month. The ads said 24/7 support available. Within the first 12 hours I filled out all medical history and forwarded all my recent bloodwork and weight verification, as WW requested. I was then given an appointment to meet w/ one of their advisors 30+ days away (in late April 2025) this schedule was followed by an apology that they were working on getting more staff to handle their increased business. I attempted to contact the clinic on 24/7 chat. That does not exist, there is a message service where you can leave a message, to be returned in approximately 1 day. I attempted to reach out to the regular WW program and could only call from 9-5 EST. They directed me there was nothing they could do to help w/ my dissatisfaction w/ WW Clinic and I would have to contact them directly. I then sent a message to WW clinic less than 24 hours after signing up, saying since they do not have the resources to honor their agreement with staff support, I would not authorize any future charges, since I have used no services to date, nor received any meds. I received an apology message from WW saying regardless of my dissatisfaction I was still under the obligation of a 1 year contract w/ WW (not the clinic) and would continue being charged. Once again, I told them I refused any future charges since they cannot provide the service and client support I was to receive. I am at a loss as to what else to do. They will not honorBusiness Response

Looks like I'm another victim of Weight Watchers bait and switch GLP-1 program. I signed up for the 6 month GLP-1 program. For 3 weeks I went back and forth with their "clinician", constantly asking for more information (which I provided immediately every time), then waiting for 3 days or more for answers... Information was contradictory and I could never get a straight answer. Finally, over THREE WEEKS after my initial payment, I was told that I didn't qualify. Fine, give me back the $149 I have already paid (and received NOTHING but the run around for!). Now they're telling me they're going to charge me $23 a month for the next 6 months? I don't think so. Absolutely not. This was a bait and switch in the highest degree which is illegal.Business Response

I joined WW on 1/17 - at the time of signing on, it stated that I could cancel anytime. I cancelled on 2/6 as the app does not work on my phone (and the desktop version is no longer available). On 2/7, WW billed me. I contacted WW and was told that, yes, I can cancel anytime but they will continue to bill me every month for the remainder of the year and that my cancellation will begin next January. WW has billed me again on 3/17. This was a misleading contract. I have now cancelled the auto-pay and will escalate if the issue is not resolved. It is inexplicable that this company expects payment for a service that I cannot use. Had the contract stated that the fees paid prior to cancellation, I would understand - but it did not.RESOLUTION: I want to be refunded for the payments that occurred after I cancelled, and I do not want to be billed for any further payments after my cancellation date of 2/6.Business Response
