I had a right front wheel bearing assembly instaled on April 6, 2021. I was told that I had a 2 year unlimited milage warenty. march 22 of this year I had some work done on my truck at a different repair shop, they found that the wheel bearing on the right front was bad and they replaced it. I told this ship to make my truck safe to operate when I took it in to have some other work done.They found that I needed both front wheel bearings replaced so they did it, after they had replaced them thy called me and told me what they have finished. I asked them to keep the right front bearing so that I could take it back to the ***** dealer for my warenty. When I took the bearing back they told me that they would not honor the warenty because thy did not change the falty part.Business response

Good morning – Thank you contacting our store to review the complaint and to allow us to respond,Mr. ******** had originally had a hub/bearing installed in our service dept 4/6/21 and that part does have a two year warranty through ******* ******, but the warranty indicates that only if they are found to be defective within that time and replaced at any ** dealership whether it be our dealership or any other ** dealership, ******* ****** would then allow to install the new part and cover labor at no charge to the customer.This was explained to Mr. ******** when he contacted us after he had already had the repairs done at on non-** shop or dealership, and he expressed his disappointment, so we did offer to reach out to our ******* ****** district manager on behalf of the customer to see if there was anything above and beyond what we knew to be the warranty guidelines could be done for him, We did forward all the documents to our DM for him to review and we received this answer back `This is not something that we would warranty or reimburse the customer for`.Unfortunately there is nothing more that could be done at our level as a dealership to get Mr. ******** repair reimbursement for him.I have attached documentation to this email to show that what is stated was done to do what we could on the customers behalf,Customer response

Better Business Bureau: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. I have received your email yesterday and I do not agree with the response form Town Chevrolet. I did explain to you that I was not informed of any special policy about refunds on faulty parts.I am expecting to receive a refund for the wheel bearing that was faulty.
