On 6/20/2021, I purchased a$450- "lifetime guarantee" bikini area laser hair removal from Belle La Vie Skin Care Spa business owner. And on 7/25/2021 for an additional $275, I bought a lifetime guarantee underarm laser hair removal. Recently, on 5/28 the business owner called to share that she was moving and would be unable to continue to provide my laser hair removal treatments, which I had purchased that were in progress, giving no further information or explanation. On 6/9, at my last laser hair treatment, she told me that I could receive a $270 refund for incomplete services, but the owner refused to issue the refund on the spot when I asked to move forward with this option. Later that day (6/9), the owner texted me to say she would refund me $225, but would not commit to a date/time for me to come to receive my refund (I have attached screenshots of this conversation ). After this, the owner evaded my efforts to set up a time to be refunded and she also changed her story to say that she would now only refund me $174 with no explanation, and then she stopped texting me. The owner has been consistently unprofessional and rude to me via text and in person, including being late for multiple appointments, and when I expressed concerns about our existing contract and her move, she responded by telling me "all my other clients are really cool with this" and changed her story multiple times about the future of her business and refund amounts. She also stated that she had potential buyers but gave no specific details about how my contracted services would be honored, by whom, or when I would know more. (attached is a screenshot of her text correspondence confirming my desire to move forward with her suggested refund and a screenshot of the dates and amounts of my purchases). My desired outcome is to be refunded for the amount of $225 that she agreed to (both in person and via text) in light of her unexpected business changes and our unfulfilled contract.
