Went to this store to keep business local. SALES GUY named ***. Before I visited the store we called Fairview Heartside to ensure we could order the gas log set we were looking for. His first question was our firebox measurements, my brother went over them twice with him, so we ordered the 18 inch logset based on that information. I went to the store and gave *** a $500 deposit. He called the supplier and told me they should be in the store within a week. More than a week later I called him to see the status of the logs. He said he would call the supplier to see the status and he called me saying, they will be here in a few days. I had to call him the following week, still no logs, same story I will see whats going on. He called me to say sorry they will be here next week, nobody on our end followed up with the order. I bought them of ***, I followed up with him, why wasnt he following up after I brought to his attention 3-4 times. Needless to say the logs came in the week. When we took them home, the logset was too big for our fireplace. I called *** and said the logset is too big, can I change for a smaller set. Firstly he said you didnt have the measurements when you ordered them, that just stunned me as we gave him the measurements twice as per his request on the phone. I said to him what are the measurements on this set and he flat out said I have no idea, check inside the box. How could he tell me the logset would fit the first day when he had no idea himself of the measurements. He went on say they are a special order and we will not take them back and went on to tell me this is why dont want to do orders with people like you. I still dont know what he met by that. Im a regular hard working Mom raising 2 autistic 8 year old kids. I asked what do you mean you dont take orders, why did you take mine so originally, he wouldnt answer. Havent heard from them sense. STAY AWAY, THEY HV NO RESPECT FOR CUSTOMERS ONCE THEY HV YOUR MONEY IN THEIR POCKETS.
