I called 2 local Vets who don't DO emergencies during except in the day. Said to call ***************************** Emergency Centre. They would not see my dog who had eaten some sugarless gum (toxic) until I called the Animal poison control Center in ********. I'm in **. They knew little more than I did; it all happened before I got home. So timeline /quantity? But until they got $80. I wouldn't get the vaulted case # and phone number. to give to EEVEC. I forgot the damned paper with said case number. Once I got to EAST END VETERINARY EMERGENCY CENTER, I HAD TO CALL AGAIN TO RETRIEVE the case # BEFORE THEY WOULD see my dog. SO I WAITED on hold again ....... finally got the *********** were going to take my dog (the emergency remember?). But first I had to sign pages and with many initials to say they weren't responsible for ********** pre pay asseverate paper agreed to pay for A dose of an opioid med $400.-$750? intravenously, to make him vomit. That's more than you're charged at a cancer ****. and I know that! When I protested the *** reminded me that this was an emergency! SO, hours after the originating call to the Local vets for help they started. A emergency? The treatment was exactly what I read on line, I did not need to fork over money to the Center for Poison ********* there are plenty of ways of making a dog vomit, but hey we gotta use up that opioid somehow! The next bunch of paper committed me to a sum as yet unknown: pre-paid for an abstract price. My dog stayed overnight for observation. No treatment required. It is the OWNER'S PRACTICE that charges these OBSENE markups on medications pointless phone calls:treatments & the kick- back C.Y.A. behaviour between the Poison control Center which changed nothing about protocol for treatment.. ****. In 2022 I brought my 15 yr old rabbit in to be put down and they said he wasn't a pet. Only dog or cat owners could bring in their animals. Cold. The guy who owns this place should be selling widgets.

Brought my dog (******) to the East End Veterinary Center. My dog was in extreme distress. They sent me home with over the counter allergy meds(at $78 at CVS $30) and an antibiotic and said it was seasonal allergies. I was very upset because my dog is 13 years old an was in more distress then just seasonal allergies. She told me the dog would get worse before getting better. I questioned her and asked about possible steroids and something to help with her extreme discomfort. I was told if it gets worse to bring her back... I asked if this would be a follow up visit if I had to come back... she said no, it would be ****** to come back. I explained to her I just head neck surgery and out of work now, trying to handle the dog in this condition was alot. I also explained my father had just passed away days before and I wanted to make sure my dog was going to be ok. Just hours after leaving the Hospital my dog got worse. My poor dog was suffering so bad, I truly thought I would have to put her down. The allergy pills did nothing... it takes a couple weeks for them to take affect (useless). About a day or 2 later I wet back after coming home from my fathers funeral, my dog was throwing her self onto the floor violently and smashing her head into walls and furniture. I went back and saw another *** she was obviously surprised how the first *** felt with this case. Needless to say my bill all together came to almost *******. We almost put my dog down that second evening, even the 2nd *** was contemplating that as an option. I made a formal complaint that evening with pictures. Everyone in that office that evening was disturbed by what may poor dog looked like, and was going through. I made numerous call and sent emails trying to speak with the supervisor this facility, I was ghosted every time. When I finally spoke with ****************** he was insulting rude and condescending. My entire family was effected by this situation.

We still haven't received any information about biopsy results, received reimbursement on overcharged fees and this was our experience with staff; Our dog was operated on by **************** and he was the ONLY one who was professional at this veterinary center. Theyre understaffed and our dog had to sit in a cage 8 hours because the surgeon was too busy to bandage her. The secretary for the surgery department only talks to you ONCE and only about billing procedures and then doesnt answer the phone, doesnt return calls, sends e-mail responses without explaining anything regarding billing which is not at all clear nor does she forward urgent messages to the surgeon. When calling to get someone to answer questions about our dogs post surgery symptoms we were hung up on! Then, the staff director, ************************************* got on the phone and said, You cant get much higher up than me. then she proceeded to hang up on me after repeatedly interrupting me. She talked over my pleas for help with my dog as she stated wed be e-mailed instructions on going elsewhere for our dogs symptoms and follow up appointment after interrupting me again and hung up on me AGAIN. These two women would be perfect employees at a meat packing facility for the amount of compassion and respect we were shown and the level of care they have for our poor dog. Please be warned that youre going to be treated with disrespect and may end up losing your pet in their incompetent care due to the lack of professionalism and competence of this companys staff. This center wants your payment which is ALL THEY CARE ABOUT & then your dog could live or die they really dont care. We are filing complaints with:************** Veterinary *************** ********************************* at NYSED ***************** Affairs *** Attorney General We are also leaving reviews to prevent others from this experience which is a consistent issue at this facility as youll see when reading other reviews.
