Inheritance ************ continues to reach out exploiting the death of my mother. It's concerning that a company would obtain these death records and find personal information on family members, pushing them to file for inheritance opportunities through them, when that's the last thing you're thinking of when someone you love and are close to you dies and also, this being private financial and estate matters that should only go through family, family lawyer and whatever government organizations are relevant to the deceased ************ or whatnot). I've received two pieces of mail from them within 2 months, minimum.

      Hello,

We've added you to our do not contact list. You should not receive any further communications from us. Our intent is to notify heirs in estates that there is an option available to them to avoid waiting until the end of probate to get their inheritance. While not everyone appreciates getting our mailers, those who actually need and use our service are grateful that we are there for them.

      Thanks.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

      [Your Answer Here]

The answer is shady. Yes, you're a business, but you're also taking advantage of people who have lost their loved ones. Do better. If you're going to reach out, do better checks on the target audience you're going after (Ie person who passed age, timeframe, etc) and if you're going to reach out and don't hear back within a period of time, don't attempt to reach out again. We don't need our loved one's name plastered on a mailer for others to see and just be reminded of the coldest part of someone's passing. Better yet, let us all live in peace and do different marketing, like online advertising. So, in the event someone is LOOKING for a service option that like, your business comes up, rather than this crude mailer attempt, reaching out.

In order for the BBB to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

      Sincerely,

It appears these vultures scan probate cases and then try to contact potential inheritors through mail (if not in other ways). I do not want junk mail, and I especially do not want this type of junk mail. Have them remove me from their mailing/contact list.

      Hi,

The services provided are legitimate and provide a service many benefit from. We will remove you from our mailing/contact list.

      Thank you.

      Better Business Bureau:

While the business may offer legitimate services, they are not wanted, and were not asked for.  If I had wanted you to finance the probate case, which I'm not actually a party to, I would have sought you, or another company like yours, out.  Vultures preying on the bereaved.

Anyway, I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

      Sincerely,

      *************************

We received a letter from this company offering to help us get an advance on our inheritance. While I understand this information is obtained from searching court records, this company should understand that they are sending unsolicited letters to people who have just lost a loved one. This company is in business to make money and I get that but the least they could do is do a bit more research before sending out unsolicited/unwanted letters like this. The death we are dealing with is that of our 22 year old daughter who was a semester away from graduating college and starting her career and adult life. There is no inheritance for **. There is just us settling her school debts, credit card balances and car loan, packing up her apartment, knowing we will never see her marry or have children and trying to figure out how to learn to live without her here with us. We don't need a greedy company reminding us of our loss by sending letters like this. This should be criminal. These letters are cruel and uncalled for. Post an ad in the local paper or on local tv/radio stations and let people to who need this type of help reach out to the business but don't essentially cold call someone about getting money faster from their loved ones death. It's despiciable and thoughtless.

After reaching out for an advance i received a message form one of the employees, ***********************. I messaged her back explaining ai was in an emergency situation and need of fund in a timely manner. I told her i saw on the website that they could fun in 3 hours and asked her if this was possible. O gave all of the information in the case and the person I was inheriting from. I offered a copy of the will , probate documentation, the docket number and told her how much the bond was for and that it was approved. I told her the amount of the advance I wanted. Given all information needed. On October 27th, 2022 from ****************** stating in fact that She would have me approved and funded that day. This was a great relief to me. Knowing I was getting funding that day I didn't need to look any further and I felt secure knowing my emergency situation was going to be taken care of that day.. what a relief. I talked to ****** and she said she would text me right back.. having more questions i cintinued to text her throughout the day.. Hour after hour went by and no response. ****** ignored me, emaiing em that night saying she couldnt find the case asking for a case number (to whiuch i offered 16 hour prior on the day she asurred me i would be funded. I send the number and all the paper work and she ignored me all night. The next day she said she needed the case number which i emailed the nught before. I was ignored all day then finally told it takes 24 hours to review cases and that she didnt say itr woukd be done that day to which i screenshot her text to me and sent it to her. That was the last i heard from her. She ignored me there after as did Probate Advance with my many attempts to contact them. for 3 days I was lied to - she even stated that she wanted me to get funded so she could make money as ***** as i wanted the funding - all in writing. I suffered great loss due to being lied to for the sake of keeping my business and stopping me from going elsewhere.

Our process is to assess a case initially baed on information provided by a customer during client intake and to try our best to answer questions on the timing and likelihood of our ability to move forward based on the information provided.  In your case, we proceeded based on the information you provided that there was an estate attorney actively involved in the case and helping to administer the probate.  We reached out to the attorney who specifically told us that he is not involved in the case.  That is a big change in circumstance that totally prevents us from moving forward.  I see in our records that we had our initial phone call with you to intake your case on August 22, 2022 at 5:59pm EST,  We were able to provide this answer, that we cannot move forward, by August 23, 2022 at 9:22am EST.  That was 22 minutes of business hours.  I do not see how we could have fulfilled our process in any more efficient way than that and in no way did we prevent you from going elsewhere.

Their business practice is extremely intrusive. I just lost my mom and every time I get mail from these loan sharks, I think its from the lawyer handling the estate. I never contacted this company, yet they have sensitive information about me, my mom and the estate. The solicitation is unwarranted and not welcome. Couldnt even spell my moms name right. Dont contact me anymore.

We do advertise with direct mail.  We also always offer to remove anyone that requests to be removed from our list.  In this case, the person complaining is just going around to leave as many bad reviews on as many sites as possible because he does not like our industry, not because of any negative interaction with our business.  While we have no record of his request for removal from our mailing list, we will remove him.

Its a negative experience being solicited and sold to over the death of my mother. Couldnt even spell her name right on the advertisement. Did I sign up to receive your ads? No. Shouldnt have to opt out when I never opted in. Predatory advertisement.
