    We decided on this company because of what looked like quality work at their other sites. Things started well, the masonry they did was excellent but things went south fast. The barn, built in 1840 was having foundation issues, the new foundation they put in had an obvious sway on one side. We agreed to replace one of the corner beams because it was rotten. They only replaced 10 ft of the 14ft of rotting. There were multiple beams that were discovered to be rotting. Instead of pausing and showing us in order to decide how to proceed in order to make sure our barn rehab was a long term success, they decided to put siding up over it. We discovered this upon inspecting from the inside of the barn including one beem that wasn't even attached any more. There were many many more examples of cut corners and sloppy work. In the end, when we brought these issues to light, the owner got angry, accused us of criticizing his work and walked off the job because we refused to pay him the balance until these issues were corrected. Now our barn is partially complete and exposed to the elements. Terrible service and shoddy work.

    Poor communication, slow work, marginal knowledge of preservation technique. First half of job, mostly masonry…. Ok. Carpentry work…. Incompetence. Walked off job when challenged on craftsmanship. Run from these people.
