I own a 2018 ***** ***. My truck was due for an inspection in Oct of 24. I received a call that the current tires were in need of being changed soon. Since it was there already, we asked that the tires not be the bottom of the line but not the top quality either. We wanted an efficient tire within our budget. I received my truck back and noticed a shake. Now, I work 6 days a week and I have a difficult time getting my truck in to get looked at as I need to make sure I have transportation to and from work. Once I received my truck back after new tires, I noticed a shake. I took the truck back in on 12/7/24 and they re balanced all 4 tires. I got the truck back and still there was a shake. Now, mind you there wasn't a shake before the new tires. Took truck back to Whitehall WT and they said, tires must be bad. Gave me another new set of tires. Still, a shake. Took truck back again, they did another re balancing. Still a shake. I took it back again and was told that there was a recall and that was why my truck was shaking. That there was noting more they could do and I needed to take my truck to ***** dealership. I called *****. The Recall was for year and make of my truck but VIN# wasn't listed therefore the Recall wasn't for my truck. I called the Recall agent. They advised to take it in to get looked at. If it was discovered that the issue is the same as the Recall they would make it right. I took my truck to *****. Once my husband ride with the associate, he then noticed the shake. Since WT did the tires and had it several times they went in looking at rear drive shift. In the end all was good and that wasn't the cause of the shake. ***** did 1 last test, a ROADFORCE tire check. Here they discovered it was my tires. Rt rear was at 66lbs, lt rear 37lbs, lt front 31 and right front @20. The limit is 25lbs. I was told to take it back to WT. However, I now endured a bill of $826.21 from ***** when it was the tires all along. I am looking to get a refund on amt I paidBusiness Response

Dear ****,
Thank you for reaching out and sharing your experience regarding the tire issues you’ve encountered with your 2018 ***** ***. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you, especially considering your busy schedule.
After reviewing your situation, we understand how frustrating it must have been to experience the shake after having your tires replaced. We appreciate your patience as we worked through the diagnostics with both Warren Tire Whitehall and the ***** dealership.
To resolve this matter, we would like to offer you a set of ******** tires, which are known for their durability and performance. We believe these tires will provide the efficiency and comfort you are looking for, which will hopefully restore your confidence in your truck.
Additionally, we would be happy to cover the cost of installation for the new ******** tires as a gesture of goodwill. Please let us know a convenient time for you to bring your truck in, and we will ensure everything is taken care of satisfactorily.
Once again, we apologize for the trouble you have experienced and appreciate your understanding. We are committed to making this right for you.

Dear ****,
The ***** ****** AT 2 on your truck is an excellent tire that features a hard-to-obtain 3 Peak Mountain Snowflake symbol. Tires with this symbol are required to meet specific standards in the U.S., Canada, and Europe. It has a traction rating of A and is designed to last for 60,000 miles. This tire is not at the bottom of the line; rather, it is highly rated and efficient compared to many other options available in the market today.
As far as Road Force Balancing, we don’t see you paid for this to be performed other than a report of findings during a check. Let me explain,
Road force balancing is an effective diagnostic tool for measuring rim and tire runout, and for solving vibration problems by identifying out-of-round rim and tire assemblies. When issues are detected, the technician will break down the tire and rotate it on the rim according to the machine's indications to bring it within specifications. In these cases, road force balancing is a valuable diagnostic method. To ensure proper measurements, it is important to follow a specific procedure. For trucks, an accepted "acceptable" road force balance limit is considered to be a value of 40 or below on a road force balancing machine, with lower numbers indicating better balance. The specifications provided on your receipt indicate that one tire and rim assembly require match mounting (RR).Keep in mind that even if you buy four new wheels and four new tires, there will be small differences in their weight, stiffness, and balance. Stiff spots on the tire are referred to as force variation. When new tires are installed and standard balancing has not remedied an issue, a road-force balance machine can be used to counteract unresolved runouts or variations by identifying what a technician needs to balance your wheel and tire assemblyWhat does this mean? It means that no two tires or wheels are exactly alike. Additionally, road force variation can change daily due to factors like temperature, tire pressure, and tread wear.We understand how frustrating this situation must be for you, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you are experiencing. To help you, we will cover the cost of Road Force balancing for the right rear tire or, if you’d prefer, we can also replace the tire for you. Or as a gesture of goodwill, we can still offer to exchange your set with ******** tires, which are known for their exceptional quality.
Please know that we are committed to resolving this issue for you and appreciate your patience during this process.
Thank you

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.I just wanted to clarify, that the road force test was completed after the ***** dealership hadn't found anything. They thought the test had already been done since my tires came from a tire location. The dealership felt bad knowing the cost they were charging me and not fixing the issue, so they did the road force test as a good gesture and that is when they discovered that was the cause of my vehicles shake.
I will take the brand new **** **** tires (all 4) with the free installation. I would like a road force test done after the fact as well.
I would still like to get some of the unnecessary cost back and ask that I be allowed to keep current tires in hopes of selling them to re-coop the money I unnecessarily was charged. Or possibly be given a few free oil/lube/filter changes for my vehicle for all of this trouble I've endured.
Regards,
**** *****

I brought my vehicle (2019 ****** *********) to Warren Tire on or about March 18, 2024, for service. I told them that my vehicle was making a rattling sound when I accelerated, and that my driver's side mirror cover was damaged. They called me back later that day and told me that there was nothing wrong with my car, and that the rattling sound was coming from the damaged mirror cover. The individual I spoke to on the phone stated that they could fix the mirror cover to "like new" conditions. I discussed with them the fact that the mirror itself was fully intact - only the back upper and lower covers needed to be replaced. I had already looked online and knew that the cost of the new covers would be under $100. I was assured that they would replace the covers so that they matched the other mirror and looked like the covers on the vehicle which were damaged. I was not quoted a price but expected this to cost no more than $200-300, including labor. When I went to pick up my vehicle, not only was it still making the rattling noise, I discovered that the mirror they put on my vehicle was used and covered with dead bugs and scratches. Please see the attached photos. When I asked them to produce the invoice for the mirror they purchased (erroneously as they did not need to replace the entire mirror unit but rather just the covers), they could not provide a proof of purchase. I find it extremely suspicious that they managed to charge me exactly $500 for the mirror, which they installed even though it was clearly used, and which was not "like new" as promised. Nor was it painted to match my vehicle. They fraudulently and deceptively overcharged me for a used part, misrepresented the work they would be doing, and engaged in price gauging.Business Response

In Regards to the complaint, I called and spoke to manager of Warren Tire Schenectady Ryan D******* abut this issue and he was aware of a used mirror that was installed on the drivers side door of this vehicle. The customer noted that the color of the mirror was not the same so we set up an appointment at ***** * **** **** shop in town to be painted to match and Warren Tire would take care of the bill. As of this email she has not shown to said body shop for painting. As far as the price is concerned the sales associate that was speaking to her recalls that she did not want to spend more than $500.00 for the repair. A new mirror from the Dealer has a list price over $650.00 just for the part and they indicated to us that no covers are available for this model. As far as the photos sent showing a search on the internet that covers are available for around $100 are primed for paint and only fit without signal imbedded into the mirror case. We have since this notice tried to call the customer on 4/24 around 4:30 and also today 4/25 around 10:30 with no return call.Clearly I think there was miscommunication from our staff by failing to show a used mirror was install on the invoice and pointing out that the mirror covers she was looking at were not for her vehicle. The mirror we installed is fully functionable but needs paint to match the color that we are still willing to do that.Thank you Eric F******G/M for Warren TireCustomer Answer

Better Business Bureau: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. Their response belies my point - which is that they are a disorganized and dishonest business. I had the mirror painted at ***** *** ****, I don't know why they can't confirm this, but it seems pretty clear that they are trying to run a racket here, and thought I would fall for their scam. I am not giving the mirror back, and I am disputing the charge with my credit card company. They did not "keep costs down" by overcharging me for a used mirror that THEY cannot provide proof of purchase for, and it's very clear that they fixed the numbers to get the payment to equal $500.00 exactly. My mirror, when I brought it to the shop, was not scratched, the glass was intact, as was the entire unit - only the covers needed to be replaced and they were dishonest about being able to do that. I found much cheaper parts online that absolutely would fit my vehicle, and should have trusted myself to replace the cover myself rather than waste my time and money with such a problematic business. They never told me that they were placing a used, dirty, damaged (with scratches and bug guts all over it) mirror unit onto my car. I was told I would be getting a "like new" mirror, exactly like the one they were removing. This did not happen. They were absolutely told by me to check for the rattling sound and opted not to, apparently. It's also not normal for ****** heat shields to rattle, and Goldstein ****** would not have charged me for screws and other parts to secure the heat shield if it weren't legitimately loose/falling off, causing it to rattle when accelerating. Warren Tire assured me that they could address all of my car concerns (rattle and mirror cover) and instead they grossly and fraudulently overcharged me for a disgusting used mirror that I then had to drive further out of my way to use the paint shop they suggested, which was a complete pain if I'm going to be honest. It wasn't worth whatever they "paid" ***** *** **** to do, and I would have rather paid out of pocket to a closer shop with a better reputation than continued to work with Warren and its affiliates. The entire interaction, including their replies to these messages, indicates that they are clearly dishonest and disorganized and are not a reputable business. They should refund my entire charge of $500.00 and be grateful that I am not posting more public reviews or pursuing this matter in small claims court, which is unfortunately where I think this matter is heading, since they are still lying instead of doing the right thing. BBB spoke with the Administration and the following was relayed: We have been actively working with this customer. I put it through our insurance and they are investigating. I will keep them and you updated as ********* ********* updates me. We did an oil change back in May. The issue arouse in July, 3,000 miles after. Regardless, we take care of our customers above and beyond always. That's why I put it through Insurance. Whatever they determine after their investigation we will follow. Thank you.
