Service provided on September 15th, then a couple weeks later with a new carbon filter. The service we were provided was fixing our system, and servicing it to be up to 100% to become part of a monthly service plan for a flat fee and we could have our system serviced/fixed at any point in time for a monthly fee. After hearing nothing about the program from Culligan a month later, I called and was told we didn't qualify for the plan as our system was too old.... Why would you let us do the full service knowing we didn't qualify? Within 2 months of service our water started to smell again, and my husband called another water company as he doubts the service we get from culligan every time. The earliest the company could come was January. Turns out a part that was supposed to be fixed was actually broken/damaged (one that they told me they fixed) and no chlorine was being put into our system for months. Because of that, our carbon filter has solidified and needs to be replaced again.... we JUST paid $500 for that filter to be replaced. The other company fixed the part that was damaged, as well as one other little injector part, and I requested culligan reimburse us for the bill because it was only due to their negligence. After speaking to them on the phone today, they state they cannot reimburse us because we didn't give them a call to let them know something was wrong. She told me we would have had 30 days from service to have it fixed for free (but this was noticed after 30 days). I want reimbursement from culligan for the bill we received from the other company for fixing the parts that culligan was supposed to fix, and replacement of the carbon filter. I kept the damaged part that was taken off the system. Or if they won't reimburse me for that bill, to reimburse me the payment I paid Culligan for service that was technically not completed as promised. (they also dumbed all the carbon on my basement floor and the woman claims it is impossible to be them)

Terrible company to work with. I purchased a $3,000 water softening system from them that stopped working shortly after a year conveniently after their "maintenance" came out and said everything looked fine. When I called them to get a tech out they initially said they'd have one out in 2 months. After calling them multiple times stating that was unacceptable they did have a tech come out to replace the $500.00 piston assembly. They attempted to charge me for it, and no one, not a single person I spoke to knew anything about the product warranty that is listed plain as day in their product manual on their own website (referenced in the contract). What a complete joke. They either were straight up lying, or just have no idea what's going on (probably the latter). Multiple times they told me my product is only covered for a year until I sent them direct excerpts from the product owner manual and called their corporate office. Whether or not that specific part fell into a warranty bracket I never called out an independent tech to verify, but regardless they continued to claim that there was no warranty past a year, contradicting what is written specifically in the owner's manual, and on the contract itself that I signed. Regardless, the parts they replaced didn't even fix the system. No one stayed there for a regeneration cycle they just put the parts in and left. After my brine tank was full after doing a manual regen I called them back and they said a tech could be out in a month. Avoid this company at all costs, like the plague. I ended up just getting a different one with a different company and am way happier now, but I feel really bad for individuals who may not be able to do that. You pay an exorbitant amount of money for a "premium" system. It breaks soon after getting it and you can't get it serviced until multiple months out unless you call and complain several times? Yikes.
