This spring I paid for the seatow 'commercial membership', which looks like it has 'one free tow (see below).' I called them last week for a tow in; their boat came out to me and then told me it was $425 an hour plus $80/hour for a 'fog fee, for an estimated total of around $2000. I told him I get one free tow based on the website; they said I did not; I told them to check the website. He couldnt check because we were out of cell range. He then tried to force me to take his 'jumper box', I assume to prove that I had accepted service. He also tried to get me to say that I was rejected the service, in which case I would have been responsible for him driving down. I kept telling him that I was neither accepting nor rejecting the service because I wanted him to confirm if my login showed that I get a free tow. He finally left, and my ***** towed me in. I would not have called them for assistance had the billing been clear. I spent all afternoon on the phone with seatow; the first sea tow person I talked to confirmed that my login does indeed indicate that I am allowed one free tow. From there, they tried to say that I owed the local franchisee money because he came to my aid, but I keep stating that my login shows/implies that I get a free tow, and no where does it say that my account type does NOT get a free tow... then they shifted and tried to say that it's an issue between the franchisee and corporate seatow, as the website is from the main company, but the tow fees are paid to the local franshisee; again, website still says I get a free tow. I want my $250 fee refunded, as as the two screen shot attached below show that a free tow in is still included, even though they did not provide me with a tow in.

*********************, ** and surrounding areas were devastated by hurricane *** on September 28, 2022. My wife and I have been Sea Tow customers for many years. Our home, contents, and boat were destroyed by the hurricane. Our boat was located one house over, in the canal and overturned. Of course we reached out to our trusted Sea Tow for assistance with this removal. Weeks went by and one day, two guys showed up with a barge and crane in the canal. They removed the boat and took it to an undisclosed location. Then, they billed insurance $6,900 for this service. We are shocked! Out insurance covers $100 only, meaning we are left to pay this excessive bill. Our neighbors have removed boats as well, and many companies are charging reduced fees for this service because of the extreme situation. Some are tow companies choosing to accept what the insurance is offering. In our case, thats $100. Im addition to the $6,900 to remove the boat, without notice, the have tacked on storage of the destroyed boat and disposal. Total amount is ********* paid to Sea Tow. I am a 77 year old disabled veteran on a fixed income. Sea Tow did not communicate any of this information. Weve signed nothing to agree to these charges. Our insurance settlement for our boat went to pay the Sea Tow bills. This is unacceptable. This is price gouging and taking advantage of a tragedy. Its bad business and its unacceptable. I have reached out to the Sea ********************* local franchises that took the boat and allegedly stored it and is now disposing of it. The corporate office is not responding and the local franchise is not at all helpful.

I was charged twice for the same towing event in ************ ** on July 3, 2022. One valid charge of $400 with an itemized reciept on July 6. The other charge was $500 on July 4. I contacted the Seatow ******** ************************ who asked for evidence and I sent him my credit card statement showing the 2 charges. On follow up he said it was under review. He no longer responds to my inquiries.
