Purchased Beveled Wood Toilet Seat for $19.99 today at 12:01pm. It says it is a standard size for a round toilet. I bring it home, open the package, and the s**** areas do not match my toilet which is a ****** standard round toilet. I took a picture of it to show them when I went back. There is no way to adjust this with my toilet or the seat I purchased. The receipt says No return, exchange only within 7 days with original ****************** I call the store to tell them that and that I am coming back with it along with the original packing and receipt. It is only 1 hour later and I need to get a new toilet seat that fits. The man I spoke to sat with his back to me and the cashier the whole time to not get involved. I showed her the photo on my phone that the wholes on the seat are not standard and dont fit on my toilet. Told her I would like to just use the $20 instead and she said they do not accept anything back once it is opened. I said that is not what your receipt says and repeated what it said. She said she is sorry but once it is opened there is no returns/exchanges. I said so i am out my $20 since this seat will not fit on my toilet. She said sorry again and pointed to the sign up on the wall that says the item was not to be opened. I would not have been able to know that this didnt fit without opening it. I told her to keep it as i couldnt use it and that i was going to put a complaint in about their store and policy on receipt is not the same as what was written on the wall. This is why others do not shop at that ********* store if they do not accept defective items back for exchange or store credit. Not sure if i did that right with the attachment. It should be my receipt and the photo showing the holes dont match my standard toilet. Went to ********** and bought one since I had nothing.Customer response
