            On 11/4/2022 my husband and I signed the contract with Collar City Painting and Ed M***** and provided a down payment of $2916.67. We anticipated the work to be completed in summer of 2023. After we initiated all communication about the project from March 2023-August, and receiving poor communication back from Ed, we decided to request a refund as stated in our contract terms. The painting project had never started. We requested the refund on 9/14/23 and as of 12/9/23 have not received the check. We have reached out via text, email and phone to Ed and his office and been repeatedly told it’s being processed. No refund should take 3 months to receive.

            We gave Collar City Painting a deposit of $2833 Oct 2021 to paint the outside of our house in 2022. We agreed in 2022 to extend to 2023 due to weather. After multiple promises by Oct 2023 we decided to cancel and get our refund back which Ed offered. January 27, 2024 we went to BBB. He told them we would receive our money in 30 days. Again he promised us in emails. As of today 6/4/2024 we were in small claims court and he did not attend. We have a judgement against him but can only hope we will see our deposit. We had them paint our house in 2007 and we were very happy so we wanted to go with him again. BIG change in his business from 2007 to 2024.
