On Sunday, October 20th I took my son to get his flu shot. City MD advertises that they do kids flu shots from 6 months and up. so I made a phone call to make sure that ****** did. They said yes!1st Concern: Under 2 a shot is given in the leg not the arm. They were going to do arm.2nd Concern: The nurse did not know what a universal health form was.Main Concern: Doctor walks in for the first time and proceeds to tell me she refuses to give him the vaccine because my child was sick but she never checked his vitals. She never checked his heart. She never looked in his nose or throat. She just kept telling me hes sick.I felt helpless sitting there defending myself asking her to explain one thing that would justify her to say that hes sick andshe just said, well he has some **************.I called beforehand to make sure that they did them for 1 year olds and that they were in stock and to be accused by a doctor that my child was sick when she never even laid a hand on him was absolutely mortifying.Dr. ******* also told me that I should have checked before hand that they would give him the shot and I said I did call. I told her that they did confirm that they have the shots and she said, well you didnt talk to me. It was like she was doing anything she could to not give him the shot. She then proceeded to tell me to go to a different place (that I found out does not even do flu shots)I have since reached out to City MD at least 1 to 2 times a month since October and each time get told by the manager on duty that my complaint will be escalated and someone will be in touch, but I have STILL YET to hear from City MD.Things I want handled. 1) There are untrained doctors and nurses who need more training with pediatrics 2) Take down ******** and website words that advertise they do flu shots for 6 months and up 3) Refusing to vaccinate a child who is REQUIRED to receive a flu shot to go to daycare when no vitals were checked by the doctor.Business Response

On Wednesday, March 12, 2025, I went to a CITY MD OFFICE for a physical exam required urgently for school within a specific time frame. I paid $100 to be examined on Wednesday, March 12, 2025. Sunday 3/16/25 I have now received my results, enabling the stamping and signature on my physical form. However, City MD is declining to stamp my form or provide my test results unless I pay for another visit, costing a $100 copay and extending charges to my insurance once more. This demand for an additional payment for a visit that has already taken place is unreasonable. There is no indication within the facility or during the initial visit that another $100 is required to have your form signed, and to be reexamined even when there are no health issues present. The specific location is the ******* office in ******, **.Business Response

Ive had a problem in the past where for over a year they put my personal phone number on their invoices which was making calls come to my phone all day from patients and providers. Personal information was left on my voicemail and harassing messages left. It finally stopped when i made a complaint to the BBB and they tried to get me to give them my number that i had for about 20 years. Eventually the calls stopped but now over the last few months they have started again and city MD wont respond to me about this.Business Response

Since I have insurance I was billed at a rate of $300 and if you dont have insurance the rate is $225. I tried to pay my co pay of $50 so I could see the billed amount and they said have to wait to get a bill . My insurance paid $112 and because of my deductible not being met I was charged $178 . I offered to pay up to the $225 . Why am I being penalized for having insuranceCustomer Answer

Went to CityMD ****** Sunday 8/18/24 for heart palpitations. Took longer to complete paperwork than for ** to examine me. ** said can't take blood or do EKG & to go to hospital & left. I paid the $75.00 co-pay before exam and then they billed $300 for doing nothing. Due to discount I owe $146.73 balance. I called billing on 8/19/24, spoke to **** to file a billing complaint but when I told him ** did NOTHING, he escalated it to a Clinical Complaint. Said results in 3-4 days. Called 8/22, spoke to *****, 3-4 weeks for results, 8/26/24 to ****** notes are in system, 10/8/24 ****** advised he'll put hold on billing and will call back. 10/31/24 to ********* no word on complaint but hold billing, not done as I recd enother email. I can't imagine what they charged $300 for. Read reviews of this location and there are other reviews like mine on ****, poor service or no service. I don't think they should be paid anything since they didn't try and help me.Business Response

I visited a CITY MD facility in ************* at ************ on 9/28/2024 as a follow-up to have stitches removed. I was informed there was no charge for the follow-up appointment. On 10/12/24 I received a bill for $100 for this visit. I contacted this site on 10/17, 10/18, 11/15 and 11/20 and each time I was told that a manager would get back to me and the matter investigated. To date I have not heard back from anyone. I am not liable for this amount. I was not charged in office for this follow-up visit and should not have been billed.Business Response

On 11/27/24 I went into City MD after a fall I noticed significant swelling and increased pain. someone came out to get me the young lady ran ahead of me didnt ask if i needed any assistance. I was sat in a room to take my vitals and information I sat down and the young lady did not bother to offer to pull out the little table on the chair so I could elevate my foot even though she saw me struggling with it 2nd staff watched me struggle to take off the ace bandage evident need for support. PA ****** arrived insistent on why I waited and ordered crutches 3rd ******** x ray technician listened gave me a cane. PA returned told me the x ray results and said get a referral for an orthopedic. She wrapped by foot and I told her it was too loose her response was you can tighten it when you get home. She gave me a cheap shoe/ankle cheap support. I asked for a regular air boot she ignored me. inappropriate care for my injury forgetting about my injury the PA attempted to make the ankle thing tighter despite me asking her to stop she did for a moment and then went right back to trying to show me something until i firmly asked her to stop as it was evident that she was not listening and struggled just to put the shoe on as the assistant observed on and I said hey could you help her. Waiting over 30 minutes staff were busy hanging decorations for xmas. I asked if they were going to assist in making a referral 5 minutes later they came back that they found no one with immediate appts and found one for December 6 or 9th. I asked where they had searched for a provider and was unable to receive a response as all three of them including the PA looked at me perplexed no one had an answer nor were willing to assist any further. I have worked in a hospital this was one of the worst patient care experiences and in clear violation of the Patients Bill of RightsBusiness Response

I received treatment at City MD on November 2023 under my company's insurance, however they didn't file a claim to my insurance until 9 months after my visit- August 2024. In which I was no longer covered by that insurance. Now I have a bill for $197 because they claim my insurance was not able to cover the cost. If it had been filed on the date of my actual treatment it would have been. This is wrong. They should not be filing the claim 9 months later and requesting money.Business Response

Regarding my dissatisfaction with the billing practices I encountered following my recent visit to CityMD. My son received stitches on his leg from the location. The physician said to comeback for a follow up visit to get them removed on 7/25. After the stitches were removed I later received a copay due for the follow up visit. After calling the main office the resolution came back stating that for followup visits you still required co-payment and that I had free will to take my son to a different ** even though the physician specifically stated to come back. The representative with the decision was rude and stated that her decision was final which is unacceptable, also stated multiple times that I have free will and should of taken the child somewhere else for a follow up visit. That she sees this all of the time.Customer Answer
