On March 25, 2023 I found that that someone fraudulently signed up for an account using my information. I reached out to Maxsip explained the situation and advised that that I wanted to be "unenrolled". After giving me the run around, they stated that I would receive a confirmation email within 2 business days. When asking for a confirmation for the call, they stated they were unable to provide it. I only managed to get the order/customer #: *******. It is now March 31, 2023 and I have yet to receive this confirmation. I find it suspicious that this account has been active since August 2022 and I have never received the "free tablet" or internet services they allegedly offer. I am not interested in doing business with this company and I am requesting that I be "unenrolled" immediately, and a confirmation letter be sent to my email.

I was told that I could get a discount on my internet through affordable connectivity program, and the website said I could get a tablet, I payed the fee for it and yet they never sent it out. I talked to a lady on the phone and they said the service I signed up for was cancelled so they won't send the device out... but the thing is, I never cancelled anything. I feel like they just took my money and ran. I want the tablet I paid for, I feel scammed.

SCAMMERS! My parents told me they stopped receiving the $30 ACP credit from *******. I called ******* and they told me that they were de-enrolled because they are receiving the credit from another provider. No freaking way. They told me to go to the National Verifier website and call ACP as only they can verify. I called and they told me that the application was created on 2/6/2023 with Maxsip. Never heard of them. I asked for any other information they can provide and they gave me the phone number ********** linked to that account, which is a fake number. It's also linked to an old address that my parents moved from 3 years ago. I called Maxsip and the moment someone picked up, I knew it was a scam. I asked them to close the account that we never created with a phone number that's fake with an address they no longer reside in. They said it was possible that my parents spoke to one of their street vendors and gave them their ID which had their old address on there. My parents live in a secluded area and never step out. On top of that, their ID has their current address since they moved so that's a lie. They told me they had to escalate this to a specialist to have the account canceled and someone should call me within **** minutes. 5 minutes later, someone calls me from **********. I picked up and it was another shady person. They told me it would take ***** hours for the cancellation to be complete. I asked for a cancellation confirmation and they gave me a fake email that they have on file which is ********************* They asked for another email and I felt uncomfortable giving them one. They said it's ok and it'll be canceled. I told them well because I have to call ACP to let them know to close the application, they said I don't need to call them (haha). I asked them how they open the account and hung up on me. I called back and gave them a new email I made just for them to send the letter. I demand compensation for the de-enrollment due to this scam they did.

I'm a low-income, disabled senior, AARP member, saw ad for "free" tablet for $20 fee in AARP magazine, went to website ****************** on 2/20/23. Filled out application for free tablet, paid $20 which MaxSip immediately took out of my online SS debit card account w/o providing written confirmation # or transaction receipt, just website acknowledgment "Thank you for your application." It is now 3/9/23. I have not received the tablet (supposed to arrive **** days). I've called MaxSip Telecom 6x, spoke to numerous customer service reps who only give shady bs excuses and runaround, failed to email receipt for the $20 pmt, or confirm in writing that MaxSip has shipped the tablet. After 5 calls, finally got a rep to come up w/*** tracking # but still no written email confirming $20 pmt or shipment. Checked w/*** indicating MaxSip only created a shipping label on 2/23/23 but *** has never received product for shipment, therefore *** can't provide a delivery date. MaxSip appears to be a shady operation that is taking money from vulnerable seniors without shipping paid-for product (tablet) advertised in AARP!

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and confirm that MaxSip Telecom did finally ship the tablet I paid for.  This action occurred weeks late (supposed to take **** business days) and only after I called this business seven times to inquire about status and file a complaint with BBB-********. Despite numerous requests, I never received a written transaction confirmation from MaxSip for the money they took from my online account, nor a shipping notice. I truly wonder if MaxSip Telecom would ever have delivered my tablet if I hadn't contacted BBB-********.  Thank you so much BBB-********!

      Sincerely,

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********.  MaxSip Telecom acknowledged it made an error in sending me a used, defective malfunctioning tablet lacking a SIM card.  *********** addressed its error by sending a brand-new replacement tablet with a functioning SIM card.  This action resolves the problem of my not getting any tablet as promised within **** days caused by the company's sloppy and inattentive business practices with regards to implementing the government-paid *** program I saw advertised in AARP magazine.  I never did receive any written acknowledgment or confirmation of MaxSip taking $20 fee from my Social Security debit card in exchange for the *** tablet.

      Sincerely,

The provider fraudulently opened up and account with my *** credit. I was notified by my current provider that my credit was transferred. Upon research and calling the *** that let me know that this company opened up an account under my name. When I called the company and requested that the account be closed, it sounded shady. They advised me that they "suspended" the account. When I requested a letter stating that it was indeed closed, they gave me the run around. This company is nothing less than fraudulent.

I'm writing you because there is a company called Maxsip in front of *******s' in Central ******* and are taking advantage of SNAP/Medicaid/SSI receipients. Here is how their shady deal gets done.People who receive these government benefits can get a $30 credit on their internet bill every month through the *** program. They stand under a blue tent in front of ******* (probably other stores too) and offer a "free" tablet (activation charge). They will get your information and tell you are eligible. I told them I receive the credit on my Spectrum bill and they will say, "no, no, no you won't lose that benefit", it says you're eligible. So they get your info and TRANSFER your benefit without telling you. They talked my husband into it yesterday and today I get an email that my $30 credit is gone. We went back and confronted them and they played stupid. I told them, I know every single *** or Lifeline application MUST go through the ***'s National Verifier and they acted like they didn't even know what it was. They said they use their companies' software to check eligibility. When applying on the *** site, it will pop up and say you already get this benefit and you have to click on TRANSFER. Even if you give them the benefit of the doubt, the company is responsible for at least poor training and/or deceptive software. So I called the *** customer service number and explained it to the representative. She told me she gets a lot of calls like this and she also helped me file a complaint on Maxsip to the ***. The rep also told me that once they get your info, even if you don't sign up, they STILL sign you up without you knowing. She also said it will only get worse with the holidays coming. I want my $44 back.Thank you so much for reading and I hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving.**** and *****
