I received a voicemail from this company stating that my file had been sent over from a company never said what company for their review and that I needed to call them right away. It was time sensitive that he needed to get my statement regarding the encounter. He again repeated it was time sensitive and he was giving me a chance to give my side of what happened during this encounter. I received this voicemail on 12/20/22. After listening to the voicemail, I looked up his name and the company and looked at all the complaints and I am not going to return his call as I have no idea what encounter he is talking about. I live in Iowa and he is calling from a California number. I do have a California number only because my mother lived in California and I used to be under her account and never changed my number because I never needed to. I would like a cease and desist from this company. Thank you.

Unity Asset Management strives to provide the highest quality of service to our clients and our client’s customers. Therefore, Unity Asset Management regrets hearing otherwise and takes these matters very seriously. Thank you for bringing Mrs. ********'s complaint to our attention and we appreciate the opportunity to respond. Upon receiving notification of the complaint, Unity Asset Management conducted an internal investigation regarding this matter. Unity Asset Management maintains direct business-like and legally compliant practices and procedures. Upon investigation of this matter, we have found that we have never spoken to the consumer in regards to an overdue balance. The consumer was contacted in regards to an account we had placed in our office for review. We were unable to get in contact with the consumer via phone so all we did was leave voicemails for her to reach us back. The consumer states she does not know what this is about which we cannot disclose what the information is over the voicemail without verifying we are speaking with the correct party due to federal privacy laws. We cannot control what people say over the internet. All we are trying to do is get in contact with the consumer, provide them the information that we received and see how they wish to resolve the account. If the consumer doesn’t want to know what this is about, then that is completely fine but we cannot just disclose all the information via voicemail. The account has been placed in a cease and desist status and no further contact will be made from our company. Kind Regards, Unity Asset Management LLC

This company has been calling me several times a day, saying I need to call them back immediately or they will have to tell their client that I am refusing to cooperate, and that doing so will "prolong the issue". They are clearly trying to scam me and many others, as evidenced by the numerous complaints of the same behavior, and the fact that they have already broken several laws pertaining to the FDCPA. (Calling me several times a day, calling a family member more than once, failing to properly notify me of a supposed debt). It's bad enough they are harassing me, but they have now called my step mother multiple times, telling her I listed her as a "contact number", which is a blatant lie, I have never listed her on anything in my life. I hereby request that this company cease and desist calling me on any contact number they may have for me, and cease and desist calling anyone ABOUT me or looking for me, including but not limited to, family members, friends, associates, my employer, or myself at my place of employment. Any further communication can take place by mail. (Which it won't, because this is a scam.)

The consumer was contacted in regards to an account we had placed in our office for review. We were unable to get in contact with the consumer via phone so all we did was leave voicemails for him to reach us back. Nobody is trying to scam anybody, we are very time limited with these accounts and are simply trying to get their response before our client pulls the account from our office. All we are trying to do is get in contact with the consumer, provide them the information that we received and see how they wish to resolve the account. The numbers that we contacted are already listed on the account when we receive them so we apologize that we contacted other people but they were listed as a point of contact for the consumer. Unity Asset Management called me out of the blue today at my work number using a phone number of ************ and left a voice mail stating in part "Yes, ******* ********, my name is Mr T*****. I'm calling with the Office of Unity Asset. I'm contacting you today in regards to some information that we had received from our client. They wanted us to make you aware of the matter that we." They state this is a time sensitive matter and want me to call them back at *** *** **** ext. *** and give me a file number. This same "Mr. T*****" also call my cell phone from a WA number of *** *** **** leaving the same message. This threatening and the fact that the same Mr. T***** called my work number twice and my cell once using different numbers makes me think this is a scam. I have never received anything in the mail regarding any debt supposedly owned by Unity Asset Management and until they send this to me at the address provided by whatever client they supposedly have my debt from, I will not give them any information.

We were unable to get in contact with the consumer via phone so the consumer ended up reaching out via email to our website. The consumer came off very aggressive sending multiple messages stating he is not waiting around and wants to know what this is about. First, we have to verify we are even speaking with the correct consumer and we were unable to do so. Secondly, we tried to direct the consumer to call into the office to discuss the matter but he refused to do so until he knew what this was in reference too but again we cannot disclose that until we verified who we are speaking to. I have received two phone calls from this place from Tiffany C*****...she comes off very rude and the second voicemail was threatening and wished me "good luck" if I did not call back, what company does that? All these responses to complaints saying that they do not intend to be threatening is a bunch of BS. They are trying to scare you into calling them back, that's their tactic. You can mail me anything pertaining to me instead of just calling me during working hours. I would like to cease and desist please. Thanks.

I received a call from a gentlemen that worked for this company. He insisted he was looking for a statement. I asked him a couple of times if this was a debt collection company or a collections agency. He stated they were not. He also provided account information without even verifying who he was speaking to. Lastly he was referring to a account where a phone was purchased and I have not purchased a phone. This was incredibly misleading.

I just got a call from my ex wife telling me a “Mr. T*****” secretary of a certain woman, was leaving her voicemails threatening legal action if she did not answer. I just right now called and a very arrogant lady answered demanding I explained to her why I was having financial problems and threatening legal action within two weeks. This without any prior notice of collection, or anything. I believe this is unethical and should be punishable under FCRA.
