Unscrupulous! Upon purchasing the car I told them that I misplaced my title. I asked what that was going to entail to get a new one. They assured me that it was no problem., that they could take care of it. However they never told me that they would charge me an extra $350!!!Westbury Toyota Scion

Ms ********* financed a vehicle on Nov 9, 2024. During the sale process she stated she wanted to trade in her ***** but did not have the title with her. We told her we could take the car on trade and would take a ****** deposit that would be 100% refunded if she brought the title to us within 48hrs, otherwise we would need to obtain a duplicate title. We explained that the fee for that service includes ordering a duplicate title through a company that expedites the process. Generally, a duplicate title can take approx. 3-5 weeks if all the information submitted is correct, therefore we pay a title expeditor service to cut that process down to only a few days allowing us to be able to re-sell the trade in quickly before it depreciates. Unfortunately, she did not produce the title within that time. Westbury Toyota will always refund the duplicate title and expediting fee to the customer if they bring the title to us within the 48-hour time frame.Review fromCatherine F

Will never buy from Westbury Toyota again for the following reasons1. Told multiple times that I would get a much better rate with a good credit score score was over 850 but given a rate of almost 9% decided the next day to pay the loan off - was told by the finance manager I dealt with (****) said that I could not pay it off for two to three months - told me it says that in my contract. When I asked where he said he couldnt tell me because all contracts are different. He then added, TO BE HONEST, JUST WAITING THE TWO MONTHS IS NOT GOING TO CHANGE YOUR LIFE DRASTICALLY, ITS ONLY ABOUT $90 Toyota Financial said that is absolutely not true. I was able to set up an account and pay the car off (the daily interest rate was $10 A DAY)2. Picking up car- explained that I had to pick my son up from school was assured it would be no problem. I was there for over three hours and had to get someone to pick up son at the last minute.3. The sales rep I dealt with the first two times (****) was fantastic. Unfortunately, when I decided which car to buy, he was away so I dealt with *****. She is a nice person but had no regard for my time. She kept saying she would be right back and disappearing. I finally went to find her and she was seated with another customer. After the purchase, she was/is inconsiderate with returning calls. I have to call back. She said shed look into it and get back to me in an hour - she texted me 7 hours later but did not have the information I needed. I called a week ago and she did not return my call. I called again - no answer - so I texted and she responded that she is off and to call the dealership. When she left another clients license in my car, I called her. I was kind enough to drive it to her (took me an hour). 4. When I called about the financing issue, was told a manager would call me back - that was three weeks ago - still waiting 5. In may of 2023 i turned in my leased Toyota RAV 4 Too get a another lease on the exact same car rav4 I was definitely ripped off @ ****** per month for a ****** car with excellent credit. and mind you this was fourth Toyota RAV 4 with this company are you kidding meWestbury Toyota Scion

On June 26, 2023, we purchase our leased 2020 4Runner from finance manager **** at Westbury Toyota. During this time he explained the new financing options and optional vehicle extended care, maintenance program and tire/wheel protection with optional cosmetic coverage and its cost as we determine the total purchase price to buy-out the leased vehicle. He explained and emphasized the benefit of having a peace of mind having service agreement for unexpected mechanical breakdown, worry-free regular maintenance and tire/wheels protection with ************************** a car wash package monthly for 1 year. In August, we tried to use the carwash **** setup for me on my cellphone during the time we purchase the vehicle. The App did not work and so I paid it on my own. We called **** regarding the failed attempt to have a free car wash and he advised that he made a mistake and it was not really a part of the transaction. my wife brought the car and the document stating that he gave us 6 months of free carwash that clearly states valid dates 6/26/23 12/26/23 (see attached copy). On this same **************** said to my wife that the vehicle have a dent and scratches coverage and told my wife to bring the car back to get assessed for repairs. On Sept. 5, my wife brought back the vehicle to get assessed and approved for the repairs and the Westbury shop provided her with a RAV4 loaner car. Sometime before Sept 15, we received a message from Westbury Shop requesting to bring the RAV4 back because it was due for repairs. During all this time they have not done anything with our vehicle. On Sept. 22 my wife brought back the RAV4 and they sent her home with a Highlander for loaner. On October 6, we requested to pull the vehicle back because we have a suspension upgrade schedule for Oct. 7. At this time, **** and Westbury Toyota is saying that the repairs are not covered.Westbury Toyota Scion

On 10/18/2023 I brought the car in against better judgement because the check engine light came on and this was the only dealership with same day appointments. They said I needed service on the exhaust system that was going to cost me $3,200. I said I wasnt going to do the service and wanted a second opinion. Today, 10/20/2023 I brought the car to Gateway Toyota in ** and they checked the car and said I only need a new oxygen sensor which is covered by the warranty. Stay away from this place, not only will they damage your car theyre going to make you spend a ridiculous amount of money for services you dont need. I know this wasnt the first time they scammed me, Ive paid twice over $1,000 in services I probably didnt need. Stay away!!!Westbury Toyota Scion

**Bad Experience due their deceptive practices. Worth reading my experience to be ready for their deceptive practices** ***************** is unprofessional rude, and not to be trusted. Almost After two month waiting for my RAV4."*****************+dealership" Who makes every effort to use all deceptive practices and his experience to inflate car price. He added hundred of $ to car sale price. When I asked him that why he inflated the car price, his response was that this is bank fee even though it was Finance by Toyota and even on high APR.I asked multiple times for these extra charges to be explained so that I could understand and also to mention these charges to a separate line item with description. He then fit-in the amount in separate line and Jumbled up with letters N/A and also without description. This becomes a red flag for me that there is something not right. I asked him that why he didnt mentioned the description that what kind of charges are these. He becomes aggressive. Then I asked him that I dont want to deal with this bad attitude and let me go out and speak to his superior however, he ordered me to stay in his room as he was stepping out, and I came out of his office as I cannot deal with this bad attitude and his aggressive behavior. I was hldng the paper where he mentnd the fraudulent charges as I want to ask his manager that why they are over charging me. He came toward me and snatches that paper from my hand and the paper torned-off. This is very bad example of someone to become being physical with customer. I believe that ********************************************* have it on record in their camera. They should see and keep the recording. The time was around 5:45Pm to 7:15pm on July 7, 2022. Later I have been asked to go another Finance Manager. He actually take-off those fraudulent charges. However, I dont know what other hidden charges have been taken from frm me/customers.these practices are prohibited under consumer fraud act. NOT WANT TO GIVE 1 STAR.Westbury Toyota Scion

On May 1, 2018. I purchased a 2015 Rav 4. I also purchased a vehicle service agreement which is called a Toyota Platinum Certified Plan. Im being told that the car dealership put in the application on May 7, 2018 and it was supposed to start on May 8 of 2018 to May 1, 2024. However this vehicle service agreement was rejected the car dealership never notified me that it was rejected. I was still being charge for this vehicle service agreement which is $4400. During 2018 to 2019 I had a couple of service issues and each time that I brought my vehicle in for service they tell me that I did not have a vehicle service agreement. Today May 17, 2022, I called customer service and I found out everything. I purchased a vehicle service agreement and this was on May 1 of 2018 when I purchased a vehicle. This was rejected on May 8, 2018. Toyota never notified to me that the original service agreement was rejected. I never knew this. They also added ********* maintenance agreement 2 yrs or 25,000without my knowledge, I was also charged for something called auto care network which I dont know what is this about a charge of $995. On the date of purchase.On December 21, 2020 Westbury Toyota resubmitted a *************** Agreement Application without my knowledge for Toyota ********** Gold 3 year warranty which they back dated to May 1, 2018. And this warranty expired May 2021. When they put the application in on December 21, 2020 and with an invoice date in December 24, 2020 for a three-year warranty. That expires in May. I was charged without my consent for Toyota extra care gold a three-year warranty which they backdated to 2018 that expired 2021. I never even knew I had this warranty until this was explained to me today May 17, 2022. I was told I did not have a vehicle service agreement at all. Now Toyota is trying to charge me for some thing that I never even had. So in actuality the service agreement that they resubmitted was only active for five months.Patricia A.
