I purchased a 2014 Honda Accord Sport on 5/31/2014 in cash at Paragon Honda. At the time of the transaction, I purchased an additional warranty for a total of 7 years/80K miles. I began to encounter issues with my vehicle and had it towed to Staten Island Honda on April 20, 2022. I was told the vehicle has engine failure. The total miles on the car is ******. Hondas are known to last close to or over ******* miles and I am deeply concerned I was sold a vehicle that had pre existing issues without my knowledge. I tried to go through my vehicle insurance and was told they will not be able to assist in repairing the vehicle. My warranty unfortunately expired and I am now in a bind. I am low income and a 9/11 responder with 9/11 related illnesses and need my vehicle to get around for various reasons including to and from doctor ************ and cannot afford to pay over $5,000 for repairs. I have done my due diligence servicing the car as necessary at Staten Island Honda and only used the car to get around from point A to point B. There is no reason this car should fail on me with only 70K miles. I spoke to *************************** (general manager) on April 28 who advised me he will call me back the next day and I have not heard from him. I am seeking a resolution to this matter and thank you for your time.Business response

On February 14, I approached the Honda dealer looking for a certified Honda Odyssey 2019. 2 days ago my co-worker explained to me how to look at the life of the oil and it turns out that it has 20 percent life, as I saw that it was like that, I asked a friend who is a mechanic a favor and it turns out that the brakes and brake discs of They are all scratched in the back, the ones in the front are the same, as it is possible that when buying a car that is supposedly certified they sell it that way, supposedly when a car is certified by a dealer they supposedly check it and everything that is not right is replaced. It seems to me in very bad taste that they deceive people who think they are buying a certified car and it turns out that they are not.Business response

before selling a vehicle certified by honda or any car company they change the things that are already worn out in order to be certified and that car did not change the oil the rear brake discs are all scratched they had to replace it but no they did it. that's called a scam

I purchased a used Honda CR-V in October of 2020 from Paragon Acura/Honda. We paid for it in cash in two parts, $5000 initially with the **** of sale, and the remaining $8857 with a cashier's check a few days later. The salesperson, ***************************, assured us that if we brought the check in, there would be no lien issued on the title and the financing paperwork would not be issued. Two days later, we gave them the cashier's check and received a receipt. A month or two later, we received the title in the mail, and it had a lien on it. When I brought this up to the Paragon team, they had me call the Honda Financing team, where I spent 90 minutes on hold then explaining to the associate that we have no account with Honda Financing, but I need a Lien Release Statement to remove this lien that was never supposed to be on the title. Please have Paragon Acura/Honda send through to ******** DMV paperwork and payment for an updated title, to be sent back to us ASAP. Thank you.Business response

This authorized Honda dealership has incredibly deficient customer relation skills and is running unauthorized repairs on vehicles without owner consent. I brought my Honda Oddessy 2014 in for routine recall repairs. After a week of no contact I went in face to face to retrieve my vehicle. The vehicle now displayed multiple errors that werent there when dropped off. I had to wait in a two hour line to return my vehicle minutes after I picked it up.I returned the next day and asked to retrieve my car again, they processed my request and made me wait for 2.5 hours while they got the car from the back. They had replaced a new battery that wasnt authorized to be replaced and then frantically tried to replace it with an older battery after I complaint for the long wait time. There is something unprofessional that warrants inspection by the BBB.Business response

I bought my HondaCRV Touring (new) on May 2021 from Paragon Honda. The car was stolen on August 24, 2021 but recuperated by the police on August 26. Iprovided all the information to the police because when I bought the car, I bought *************** (security device). From Prescint 48 in the Bronx, the car was towed to the company parking lot to spend the night (I paid for the tow truck), On August 27 they tow the car to Service at Paragon Honda. They called stating that the car was ready and I went to pick up the car on September 29.They reassured that everything was in perfect condition (New keys were made, door lock was replaced, etc.). When I was driving out of their premices I noticed that the **** the radio and the camera were not working. Because it was late and I have a babysitter taking care of my mother I keep driving to the Bronx. The following day I called them to notify the problems. They scheduled to pick up the car in front of my house on Oct. 1 at 9:00 am. When they brought the car back, the car had the same issues, I called them and sent the car back with the driver. They informed me that the car needed new GPS; radio, camera and wires. The comunication with them is very limited, they do not answer the phone, I had to call the dealer; they transfer me or tell me that the manager will called in one hour, etc. After many attemps to communicate and after receiving 6 aletrs in my cell from InTouch that my car was moved to ***** **, I try to communicate again. On December 6 I reported the situation to Honda Financial, I have a case number. Also I called American Honda, they called Service many times and they said that they are going to call me. On Dec. 18 American Honda contacted me again to follow up and I informed them that Serviced did not call. American Honda contacted them again and after a couple of minutes I receive 2 calls. I provided the check numbers from Allstate. Please HELP. I NEED my car my 86 years old mom has many appointm.Business response

My Honda car was sent to the ***** **** **** ********* ******* for repair on August 31, 2021. At that time, they told me that it would take two months to fix it. After I waited for a month, I called back and they told me that the car had not been repaired at all, because the money from the insurance company had not arrived. During this period, my car was parked there without any notice to tell me about the insurance problem! I immediately contacted the ***********, and their claim department paid the claims to a wrong one. But the claim was paid immediately to them then. On November 3, 2021, one of the staff in the collision center called me and told me that the car would soon be finished and might be able to pick it up on November 12,2021. So I went to the collision center but couldn't find my car. They told me that my car was still in body shop, but the truth is the address *********************************************** is the Paragon Honda Body Shop, but I can not find my car there! I don't know where's my car at all! I was told that my car was being painted. After that time, I tried so so many time to call the Paragon Motors of Woodside's number ************, there was nobody answered and the voice message was not replied, too. I also tried call ************ many times, the customer service only asked me to leave my contact information and told me they will call me back, but no matter how long you waited, nobody called back and there was no further information. I told the customer service that I requested to talk with there supervisor, but she refused and told me she could not do it. I also asked her who can solve my problem, she just repeated same sentence: I will help you to leave the message to them and they will call you back! EVERY TIME REPEAT THE SAME EVASIVE WORDS! I had no way and the only thing what I could do is just waiting endlessly! The most infuriating thing is you can not find anyone to tell you the progress. I need my car for working! On Thursday November 11th 2021 I took my 2017 Honda Accord to be sold to the used car lot of paragon Honda they explained that I would get a check in 2 days and that I can pick it up at there office. The person I specifically dealt with her name is ***** and thats what was explained to me. That I would receive my check within 2 days and its going on day number 4 I dont have a car and they have my money. I want to get they money that was promised as well as some type of compensation for the till that was wasted traveling 4 days to the dealer. PBusiness response

We dropped off a vehicle to be serviced and we have not been receiving adequate service nor communication about the status. They estimated an unrealistic 10 days to fix the car which they did not follow up on when the time was up. In the process, they neglected to mention of the status of parts and fixes. We had to spend a lot of time on hold as we were told there was high volume and demand, sometimes up to 2 hours. When it was time to receive a courtesy car, they neglected to get in touch with us about the circumstances on their end even after we reached out. Instead, they let us guess whether or not they would drop a car off and not give us an updates with the decisions that they made. We understand we are in a time of uncertainty that has been impacted by covid in terms of supply chain, etc. We feel that we deserve to be in the loop and not have to chase down a representative to get the smallest bit of info which has been the case for over a month. First of all from the beginning theyve sold me a lemon transmission faulty ok granted theyve replaced it but its still knocking and I had my car towed there 4 days ago told them the car needs an oil change and its shaking violently so they text me saying the car is ready when I get there only the oil was done nothing else and mind I paid 100 bucks in cabs to get back and fourth and I get there car hasnt been worked on I calll no luck I have all the text and all the 50 calls I made into Honda yesterday alone and spoke with a ********************** who reassured me the car would be looked at and ready but instead I got the run around and lies and costs me a lot of money to get back and fourthBusiness response

To Whom It *********************** vehicle was towed in forengine shaking with ******* miles on it. There was no oil in the in it and there was anaftermarket oil filter. The customer has "Car Shield" ExtendedWarranty and we started a claim with them as the vehicle needs anengine.
Carshield is covering the replacement engine that they shipped to us, the clientonly has to pay the deductible. Car is shop now. Our service hasthe client informed at all times.
