Energy Harbor nearly DOUBLED our ****! When I called to opt out they said it could take up to two billing cycles to come off, but would "probably" not be on my next ****. Excuse me, what??? I NEVER SIGNED UP FOR THIS....this is a total scam! I don't understand how it's legal to charge me for something I don't sign up for or agree to. Don't give me that "government contract" c*** either...in fact, don't even respond to this post with your condescending "it's you, not me" answers. I just hope people read these reviews before it's too late!Energy Harbor, LLC

We were unaware that Energy Harbor was even on our billing statement until the **** kept increasing even when we were using less by being on vacation and also having a power outage for 4 days all in the same month. How as the **** higher than the previous month. We started diving into our statement and we are seeing Energy Harbor which we have no idea what it even was on our statement. So we see an AEP charge and Energy Harbor charge. No one can answer any questions and there is no explanation why we went from using less energy than last year at this time yet our **** is $60 higher.Energy Harbor, LLC

We live in *********, ****, and in May of 2022, we were notified that our current electric carrier AES would more than double the rate of our electric supply effective June 1 of 2022. We were encouraged to search for a cheaper supplier. Numerous residents in ********* which are located in ****** County chose Energy Harbor. My husband and I are on a fixed income and chose to call Energy Harbor as well and did an over-the-phone speaker chat with one of their representatives who locked us into a **** cents per kWh with them as our electric supplier until May ****. They in turn sent us a hard copy letter confirming everything. We received our first AES showing Energy Harbor as our supplier which will be due Aug. 1. COMPLAINT: This week we received a letter from Energy Harbor stating that they have determined that now we are not eligible. This has hit numerous residents in *********, ****, and has created a hardship for many. As I mentioned my husband and I are on a fixed income and we budget accordingly. For this company to do this is inexcusable and they should be held accountable!!!!Energy Harbor, LLC

Hello,You are correct! Since ********* has its own program, some of our customers were not eligible for the community plan at the **** rate. We recognize that this situation can negatively impact our customers. And that's why in the follow up letter sent on 7/28/2022, we said that we would still honor the **** rate to all the impacted customers that sign up.We see that you did indeed enroll on the new offer with the **** rate! So hopefully this corrects the error.Despite this mishap, we are happy you are still with Energy Harbor!Review fromMichael B

I would give O stars if I could! This company is a SCAM! they **** you rate up the first chance they get, and they don't notify you. There's no account to reference, and no terms and conditions to reference - since they don't supply any of the billing info to their customers. I called and the Manager, ***** was condescending and rude to me and told me I have to pay and there's NOTHING he can do for me. They take advantage of their customers and overcharge under the radar, and hope that customers don't realize. Very shady practices, very shady company. Even the way they "answer" the reviews on this page. They just respond by saying: "Energy Harbor would like the opportunity to further review your account. Please contact our ************************ at **************, Monday through Friday 8 AM to 5 PM or email at ********". Then when you call - they tell you there's nothing they can do.Energy Harbor, LLC

Hi *******, Im so sorry you had such a poor experience with our ************** We reviewed your conversation records and your account and youre correct that we did raise your rate at the end of your previous contract to ***** cents per kWh, starting in February 2022. We did, however, mail two auto-renewal letters on January 3, 2022 and January 18, 2022 to notify you of the increase. You're also right that we don't supply billing information to customers because your utility, PPL, handles all billing.I know increased rates at the end of your contract are frustrating, but we try to be as competitive with the current energy market dynamics, and in line with the *** for PPL which is currently at ***** cents per kWh. We're sorry to see you go, but you're always welcome to return your supply to Energy Harbor in the future.Review fromRobert W

Huge to off. They lie about rates charge you a $200 distribution fee on top of your **** for "clean energy". They got me for at very least $1000. Just go with AEP they are more reputable and have integrity when they explain thing. I pray they go bankrupt for their karma.Energy Harbor, LLC

Hi ******,We sincerely apologize for your recent experience with Energy Harbor. We know interpreting all the charges on utility bills can be confusing, so please allow us to clear up any misunderstanding. Energy Harbor is only responsible for the Supply/Energy Cost of your ****, while the Distribution Charges come directly from your local utility. Distribution charges are not associated with Carbron-Free/clean energy products; They are costs assessed by your utility to pass the electricity through the poles and wires, directly to your home, and will appear on your **** with or without a 3rd party supplier such as Energy Harbor. We strive to be a company rooted in transparency and integrity, so we apologize if you were left with anything short of that while we served you and your home. If theres anything we can do or you have any further questions or concerns, please give us a call at **************, and we will be happy to help.Review fromAnthony H
