      We purchased solar panels from Solar is Freedom with the understanding there is a lifetime guarantee on the panels and any replacement hardware under warranty. The company has now gone bankrupt and is unable to provide those services. We still owe several thousand dollars on the purchase and maintenance of the panels.

      In May of 2022 I purchased rooftop solar panels from a company called solar is freedom out of *********** **. I was promised production of energy by the panels that would save money on my electric bill. The panels are not producing as promised. I can not contact company and get help with this. My installment payments are high and I still pay a high electric bill.

      My husband and I hired Solar is Freedom back in August of 2022. We had to take a loan to get the solar panels. They came and put the solar panels on our roof. Almost immediately like the next time it rained after having them installed our roof started leaking. We called them they came out said it wasn’t their fault and just tightened up some bolts. Well, that fixed that problem in the room. A couple months later we noticed our roof was leaking in another room. Our roof has never leaked before until we got these solar panels installed. So after we found that our roof was leaking in another part of the house we immediately called them back. No answer, we attempted contact several times until my husband looked them up online and found that they went bankrupt. The leak has caused significant damage to the roof and room. It sounds like a water fall every time it rains. We can’t find a company that will come out and remove them so we can fix the problem. We contacted our home insurance and they said it was caused by the solar panels so they can’t do anything to help us. We need work done to our home and can’t get anything done because of these solar panels. We are at a standstill and we don’t know what to do.

      On 11/22/2020 I had a full solar system installed by "Solar is Freedom. Like many others, I had a solar system installed on my home with their 25-year warranty. The system has multiple bad solar panels now which have failed and the company has filed bankruptcy and closed. The company cannot be reached for repairs / service, who is now taking over the warranty repair work? I want to be reimbursed for warranty and service if there is no other company picking up the service and terms of the warranty.

      Like many others, I had a solar system installed on my home with a 25 year warranty. The system has stopped working and the company cannot be reached for repairs / service. I continue to pay on a loan for a product that does not provide energy, as was agreed to in the contract. I want to be reimbursed for this purchase and / or to have another company pick up the service and terms of the warranty.

      We had our Solar System installed 4 years ago. We paid off 36,000 in 2022 and now they're telling me that our System is not working properly! And Noone has been able to answer us why.

      I purchased solar panels from this company a little over a year ago. I went with this company because of the warranty that they offered. I'm now learning that the company has or is filing for bankruptcy and I'm stuck with these panels I paid a great deal of money for. This wasn't a small purchase and a lot of time and effort went into finding the right company. Now I can't get in touch with the company and there is no response to emails or calls. The legality of the situation seems very suspect and it does seem like this business was misleading myself and others into purchasing a product that they had no intention of maintaining. A company doesn't just wake up and go out of business. This is very shady business practices and now myself and many others will suffer with this very large investment. This seems criminal and I'm not sure what legal actions can be taken but something should be done to alleviate the loss from this crooked business.

      We had solar panels installed in April of 2022 and the system worked properly until June 2023 when it stopped communicating. We were unaware that the system was not being monitored by Solar Is Freedom as the warranty is designed. We only noticed a problem because our electric bill increased. When we tried to call Solar IS Freedom to ask about our system we left a message but never heard back. After further investigations we have learned that they are out of business and have filed for bankruptcy. Now we are paying for a system that does not work and we have no way of getting it fixed without paying another company. Who will be taking over the 25 year warranty that was sold to us?

      Like so many of the complaints already issued by others, mine, too, concerns the "what happens next" question. I am VERY bummed that this company has folded, and am, quite frankly, shocked. I found, from presentation to installation, this company to be solid, and yes, that's why I chose them. And now this?! So, the hugely important 25 year guarantee of the system, as well as my roof -what now? We continue to pay for our "product," but a hugely important part of the "product" is the warranty. Please let me know if there is a reasonable outlet, compensation, something to help rectify this situation!
