      They told me I could apply my tax refund to the overall cost, keeping my monthly payment low. I still have the proposals, the way they explained it made sense. Come tax time, I can't get anyone to help me with how to file for the refund or what to do when I received it. Then my monthly payment jumped up another $50, still no way of contacting anyone at SiF. I grew frustrated and enlisted the help of a tax pro. Turns out the Solar tax benefit was a tax credit that applies to cover my tax liability and not a straight refund. The tax credit carries over to cover my future liability but there's no way to apply it toward the $40K solar system as I was promised. Now I am $40k in debt instead of $28K like I had been told. The whole thing feels like a scam. No wonder they are bankrupt.

      My panels were installed 2 years ago and have had several issues with them but they still generated electricity. Service people showed several times but never really determined the problem. Now not generating any electricity and can't contact the installer. Very disappointed.

      Had panels installed 11/28/22 not in operation till 01/23 a microinverter has not produced for 4 months. contacted solar is freedom to no avail. when will the restructuring be complete how can we find out?

      We signed a contract with this company in May 2020. After several calls, they installed the system and light October 1 part of November that year. It worked great the first year. End of March 2022 we started having problems only getting about half of our kilowatt per day call the company made a complaint about the system. They got back with me months later then another two months sent somebody and said the inverter was bad for half the panels and the cell communication needed replaced. This took several calls since then they went to a third-party for service, which was a disaster after several canceled appointments time taking off work they finally showed up and of March 2023 said it wasn’t the inverter so it was just a communication with a cell antenna, according to my abs, it made no difference. We are still only getting about half of what we got the first year of usage. Now you can’t get a hold of anybody contact number I have for Jenelle just goes to voicemail that they’re in restructuring, and that the voicemail is not being monitored, so I’m not sure why you would even leave a voicemail. This company was recommended highly is why we went with them but like all good things most of the time to good to be true! We are $67,000 in the hole with the system. It’s only working a half.

      Hi They installed solar panels without approval from HOA, according to contact they were supposed to take all necessary permissions and permits. It's been 2 to 3 years till date HOA is sending me fines for violation of their rules. I was able to contact solar is freedom and they said the will resolve the issue. Now I am trying to call them and catch hold with someone but am not able to contact anyone. HOA wants the panels to be removed and now I am with no help and don't know what to do. The sales man I was working does not work for them any more. My 35k is in limbo. And on top of it HOA fines have accumulated to like 4k.

      I had solar panels installed and they left the job incomplete. Left a hole in my wall beside the breaker box. I am very disappointed in the way they handled the job. Took my money and run. I can not get a hold of anyone to complete this job. Left and high and dry.

      My panels were installed in 2020. Since the end of 2022 they have not worked properly after it rains, I have to reset it every single time! I am self employed and travel for work. Sometimes my system is down for more than a week until I return. At this rate, I will never get my "return" investment back. It has not even cut my electric bill in half. I'm just out the $20,000.00.

      I’ve recently worked for this company, and they completely shut down. They are in litigation‘s with tons of customers. They still owe previous employees money. Do not trust them. Their work is hack. They have the worst customer service, and all they care about is your money stay away.

      Company is unresponsive. We purchased a home at the end of March that was sold stating the warranty on the solar panels that were installed a year ago is transferable. Solar is Freedom has not answered any calls or emails. We learned today that new customers are being sent to another company and the warranty cannot be transferred to a running company. So now we have solar panels with no warranty and no other company will touch them because they didn’t install them.
