I went to the ER in February for the Nora Virus. I was given an IV bag, a single pill, a mini ginger ale and some water crackers. They gave a form to fill out to help with paying the bill but no mention of this Us Acute Care stuff. I was sent and email saying I owe $950. For what?Business Response

I received a notice that I have a collection from US ACUTE CARE SOLUTIONS on my credit report. It says it was opened on 02/03/2025 for $985.00 with account number starting in ********* that I am not aware of nor am I responsible for. I never went into business with this company or signed any agreements with them so they should not be reporting anything on my credit. On 09/30/2024, I received care at ***** ******* ******** emergency dept in Hollister CA. I received notification soon after that my Medicare Advantage Insurance had covered my bill with the hospital. Three months later, I received a bill from US Acute Care Solutions who contract with ***** ******* ******** providing clinicians. I called Acute Care and was told they had accidentally billed the wrong insurance? Weird, but ok…they said they would re-submit the bill. A month later I checked online and it said I had no current bill with Acute Care Solutions. Now 6 months after the date of service I have received a new bill. I called them again and was told they can’t get a response from my insurance Co. I then called my insurance company and they said the claim was paid way back in December of 2024. After reading all these complaints, I’m pretty sure I can see what’s coming next. Why is a company like this allowed to operate legally in the US? Better yet, why would my local hospital continue to contract with them? They are losing substantial business because every patient they see in the ER is refusing to use this hospital a second time after having to deal with US Acute Care Solutions. I will never go there again until they get rid of this scam billing company. As for Acute Care Solutions, if my bill is not immediately deleted (BEFORE being sent to collections), I am going to organize a class action lawsuit. Please don’t bother with the form letter you have sent to others on this site. I know there are two bills…etc. Just stop whatever scam you’ve got going and fix my bill! Noncompliance to my request would not be a good choice.Business Response

I received a bill on February 16 from this company, claiming it’s for a hospital service that took place over six months ago. I attempted to contact them for clarification, but they have not responded. Now, the account has been sent to collections, yet the collection agency also lacks detailed information. the company never answer their phone number for help ************ Why did it take so long for this company to issue the bill? I also need to verify whether this bill was already paid by me in the past. I’m requesting supporting evidence from the hospital or service provider to confirm the validity of this charge.Business Response

US Acute Care Solutions sent me a bill for $1025.88 with a discount of $153.88 for a total of $872. The Bill ID is **************. The account number is ********. I have never heard of US Acute Care Solutions and have never provided informed consent for their services. If they are billing me separately for medical care that was received at a hospital ED, then they should be billing my insurance company like the hospital that they staff. The hospital has my insurance information, so if they are integrated, then why doesn’t US Acute Care? Every single other health care provider that I have ever consented to receive medial care from has my insurance information. The fact that this company does business this way is indicative of fraud or a scam.Business Response

I have received three bills from USACS, each in the amount of 985 USD, totaling 2,955 USD. I have provided my insurance information multiple times, both through my account online and via phone. This information is also available from the hospital. Despite assurances from USACS that the claims would be submitted to the insurance company, they have not been processed. I request that the claims be submitted to the insurance company immediately and that my balance be cleared as soon as possible. Please contact the insurance company directly to resolve this matter as I will be leaving the United States permanently.Business Response

The bills received for $985 were notification for the same bill sent out due to the balance being outstanding. However, once the insurance information was provided the account was updated. However, it can take up 30 days for a claim to process once it is sent to the insurance company. Please allow time for the process to be complete.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********* and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I contacted USACS yesterday, and they confirmed that the bills were sent to the insurance company. However, when I spoke with the insurance company, they stated that they have not received them.
Please ensure better communication with the insurance company to resolve this issue. If the files were sent electronically, they should have been received within an hour. I am not referring to the entire processing of the bills, but simply confirming their receipt. Please verify with the insurance company that they have received the bills. I will consider this issue resolved once the bills appear on my insurance account.Regards,

The account has been updated and the bill is in insurance responsibility placing the account on a hold. As this was recently billed, we have to allow time for the claim to go through the process. It can take a minimum of 30-45 days for the insurance to receive a claim and in turn respond.

US Acute Care Solutions keeps harassing me via text that I have an outstanding emergency room bill of $950. This company has my name, the name of the emergency room I went to, and is saying I owe them the same amount the provider billed my insurance. I’ve spoken with my health insurance, my medical group, AND the hospital’s billing department, who have ALL confirmed that my claim is finalized and I do not owe anything. The US Acute Care Solutions website wants my SSN to view the bill or to add my insurance, which they state they do not have any insurance on file for me. The hospital verified they do have my insurance information. I do not want to be penalized for a bill I do not owe. This fake bill needs to be deleted.Business Response
