I used superglue from gorilla and accidentally got some on my person. I called the 800 number on the back that says if you were experiencing skin bonding skin soak to call *********** for a medical emergencies and it’s a line trying to sell your products instead of helping you with your medical emergency. This should not be allowed if someone thinks they’re calling for medical emergency they shouldn’t have to deal with this. I may need to go to a doctor. This is unacceptable that your help line doesn’t help

We believe an incorrect number was dialed as our medical emergency number is ###-###-####, and we assure that this is a professional service to assist with medical emergencies and there is not any sales involved at all.

Instructions to remove Gorilla Glue adhesives can be found on our website:  **************** If you are unable to remove the glue and are concerned about damage to your skin, we recommend a physician be consulted.

Brand New bottle of Gorilla Glue. Super glue. Two years old. Opened and was hard as a rock. Asked for a replacement. They said no, it was too old. Bottle never opened. If they dry out, they should disclose it. Bad experience!

Purchased Gorilla Super Glue (15 grams) from ****** which timely arrived on 10/17/2024. Although product was in a sealed package, no damage the bottle was less than half full. Filled out complaint form on Gorilla's website. However customer service reply insulted my intelligence and refused to send replacement or refund. Instead customer service representative "Christopher" stated in his replies (2 replies) that the bottles are properly filled following "fill lines" on the bottle and packaging. Despite his claims I was not able to discern any "fill lines" on the packaging and unequivocally can state there are no such lines on the bottle. Moreover, after his insulting reply in measured the liquid in the bottle, which measurement equally 3.5 grams. Including an estimated amount remaining in the bottle at .75 grams the bottle contained approximately 5 grams total. 10 grams short ot the stated weight on the package. Customer Service was insulting at best and misrepresenting at minimum. I'd like a replacement product or refund.

    Business Response

    Date: 10/23/2024

A response was sent to the consumer explaining how Gorilla Glue fills its bottles.  "For high performance and usability, the glue needs to be protected from moisture; therefore, we package our glue in thick plastic bottles. If our thick bottle was sized down so the amount of glue indicated on the label completely filled the bottle, it would be extremely difficult to squeeze the bottle and dispense the product. Our bottle, which has the required thickness to keep moisture out, contains the stated number of grams of glue as labeled and allows the glue to flow, making the product easy to use."

We did receive a picture of the consumers bottle and confirmed that is the proper fill line.  Additionally, we have mailed him a new bottle.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, reasons for rejection are included:

Despite what is stated in the reply the business has failed to address rge concerns outlined in my complaint... that the bottle was less than half full.
Further, upon weighing the liquid glue it was 5 grams NOT the 15 grams stated on the label.
Gorilla keeps stating the bottle was full when one can easily see in the photo that the bottle is quite empty.
As such, the business has not relied properly to the complaint nor has business sent a replacement product or issued a refund.

Although the company representative of Gorilla Glue stated they would send a replacement bottle... to date I have NOT received said replacement.

    Business Response

    Date: 11/03/2024

A replacement bottle was mailed on October 29 and should arrive very soon.

Please note, when the new bottle arrives, it will not be filled to the top, which a thorough explanation regarding why a bottle is not filled to the top was previously provided.  The amount listed on pack is what is in the bottle.

At The Gorilla Glue Company, we adhere to stringent quality control measures in the filling and weighing process of Super Glue.  We are sorry to hear that you are not pleased with this process, and again, a replacement bottle has been mailed.

I had purchased the Gorilla Super Glue bottle with brush and nozzle from ********* last year. I had purchased 3 bottles of different sizes. I partially used one bottle and then had to discard as it hardened. The other 2 bottles were in original, un-opened package stored in cool dry place as per package direction. The product package doesn't have any expiration or useful life warning / notice. I opened one of the bottles and it is completely dried up in the package and even the brush broke when I tried to open the bottle. The other bottle in un-opened package is also solid and completely dried up. I contacted the manufacturer and they stated that the product is supposed to be used between 12-18 months but it does not say anything on the product packaging. On contacting the manufacturer to replace the product - they refused and stated that we cannot do anything as the product is behaving as expected but an average customer doesn't know anything about the useful life on product as it is not mentioned on the product packaging. I am sure millions of products are sold and customers will throw away the failed product in original package as we tend to not complain about $8-$10. The manufacturer is taking advantage of customers by not writing product useful life on the package and thus keep selling more products.

We reviewed the initial correspondence from June 3, 2024 as well as the BBB report, and we have followed up by email to resolve the concern.  Product information along with SG products have been mailed.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below.

It is still not clear to me as to why Gorilla Company is not willing to put a warning on the product to alert customers that the product can be USELESS in the ORIGINAL PACKAGE EVEN IF STORED AS RECOMMENDED.  ADVISE THE CUSTOMER TO HOLD ON TO THE PURCHASE RECEIPT FOR ATLEAST ONE YEAR OR EIGHTEEN (18) MONTHS - WHATEVER YOUR ORGANIZATION DETERMINES TO BE USEFUL LIFE.

I had purchased three (3) bottles of which one (1) I had used partially and discarded and the other two (2) in original packaging became useless.

I would request you to approve sending the same two (2) bottles that became useless for me and take steps to avoid this kind of incident for other customers.

I haven't received response back from the Business.

Because of the business's practice of not putting the warning of useful/shelf life on the product - I am not sure how many people in United States end up throwing the product out without using it and the business doesn't bother to take action.

Any product that has a useful shelf life with proper storage should have the instructions on the product and Gorilla Products don't have them on their product or product package. How is this acceptable?

The Gorilla Glue Company has sent multiple correspondence, via email and mailed letter, to *** **** addressing his concerns.  The initial report to us was on June 3, 2024, in which it was stated that he purchased multiple bottles of Gorilla Super Glue "about more than a year ago from **** *****," and when he recently went to use the glue from some of the bottles they were dried up in the package.

We ship fresh product to our retailers and they are informed how to rotate their inventory to ensure the freshest product is being sold.  A consumer can return product to the place of purchase for an exchange or refund.  It was explained to *** **** that it is best to purchase only what may be needed in the near future, and we do not suggest buying in multiples as adhesives do not last forever.  It was also explained that an expiration date is not put on the package as the useful life of Gorilla Super Glue can vary due to many factors, such as environment, storage conditions, temperature, and humidity.  When the glue is exposed to extreme temperatures, moisture, and other elements, the shelf life will be significantly shortened, which is very common for all adhesives.

We consider the matter closed as thorough responses have been provided, as well as two new bottles of Super Glue were mailed to the address *** **** provided.  The product has not been returned to us as undeliverable, so we can assume that *** **** received the items.

Within the last four months or so I had bought a bottle of gorilla glue super glue that’s a brush and a nozzle I make hair bows so I was strictly at one point using gorilla glue and then I ended up switching to a different glue this morning, March 26, 2024 I was doing a project and I realized that I had a brand new unopened bottle of gorilla glue in the cupboard with all my crafting supplies so I got it out the bottle would not open so we had to use pliers Then I took the cap off and realize there’s no brush attached to the glue and then I realize that the glue was hard as a rock. I then contacted gorilla glue and asked to be reimbursed or have this item replaced because it was sealed there was absolutely no reason that it was dried up. They sent me a bunch of emails back-and-forth and then I sent them the lot code and they said well the glue was made in 2021. I was not even making bows in 2021 so I would’ve never purchased it then but I tried explaining to the company that , I bought it out of either superstore or ******* and it’s not my fault that it was dried up. It should’ve been on the shelf. I obviously can’t return it because I’ve had it for quite some time nor do I have the receipt but the company basically said screw you we don’t care I think it’s terrible customer service, since I actually had replaced this bottle this morning at superstore Before getting their initial email. Otherwise I would’ve never ever purchased another one of their products and considering I’ve bought numerous bottles of gorilla glue, you think a huge company like this in order to keep a customer would say hey will send you a new bottle of glue since it wasn’t my fault in their emails. Keep saying oh how was it stored after being used and wipe it off, etc. I’m not sure how many times I have to say this was never used. It was sealed in a package this morning when I opened it to find it Missing the brush which is not in the glue and hard as a rock. This is very disappointing for this company.

We followed up with the consumer and provided compensation for her bottle of glue.  Additionally, we shared information regarding the shelf life of our products.  This matter has been resolved.

I purchased the gorilla glue fabric glue on March 19, 2024. It was used on different fabrics with various trim/pieces. The glue did not hold up to my expectations. The material did not stick to the fabric. The description says it bonds with cotton, denim, polyester, felt, beads, sequins and ribbon. I tried this glue with felt fabric, beads, and ribbon materials. In all cases the glue did not hold the material to the fabric.

On Decemeber 10, 2023, I used gorilla super glue. After replacing the top, I went to get a plastic bag so I could store the glue. It leaked onto my table cloth, and onto my new table. The repair for the tablecloth cost me 16.00. It also leaked on the table. That repair will cost me between 280 and 500 dollars. I sent an estimate to gorilla glue along with the glue in a plastic bag at their request. I filled out a questionnaire as well, which I copied. On 1/24/2024 they denied my claim saying that the top was put on the glue incorrectly. They have the physical evidence and can say what they want to avoid responsibility. The glue was a problem right away. The manufactured product had a defect. Instead of pushing the responsibility on me after a prolonged wait, they should take responsibility for the damage, and pay for the repair.

The Gorilla Glue Company did receive a report on December 10, 2023, of a Super Glue that had leaked out of its tube and letting us know the product  caused damage to a table cloth and table.

The product return was requested and received by Gorilla Glue on January 3, 2024.  It was hand delivered to our Quality Team who promptly evaluated it in conjunction with the Gorilla Glue Package Development Team.  Their findings showed the nozzle and cap piece were placed onto the tube at an angle that could have allowed a leak. The nozzle and cap pieces come unassembled and are applied by a consumer before use.

The directions on the package of Super Glue include:
    Protect work area from spills.
Clean and dry surfaces to be bonded.
To puncture, place cap and nozzle on the tube and tighten down.

A claim was submitted to Gorilla Glue’s insurance company, and based on the nozzle and cap being placed on an angle, and the work area was not adequately protected, there is no liability on the part of The Gorilla Glue Company.

Gorilla Glue had me send the glue to them. I took photos of the glue before I sent it. The photos clearly show the cap is on correctly. I have cooperated with every request made by Gorilla Glue. I have used this product for many years and NEVER had a problem before.
