I bought a 18oz bottle of Gorilla Glue Original for about $20 at Lowes in the last week in August 2022. I was planning on using it for a large project at home but the weather didn't cooperate. Well the weather is looking good now so I decided I would tackle this project. When I grabbed the glue from my hall closet it was completely hard. The bottle was and still is unopened and stored inside. I contacted Gorilla Glue via email and they were unwilling to help me. They first stated that I should buy smaller containers if I plan on storing them. They did confirm that the shelf life is over 1 year for me. I let them know the container was unopened and even provided photos. The then asked for a black vertical number printed on the side. I replied with the request and information me that it was made in 2015. I then asked how a customers were supposed to know this. When we go to the store and pick something up from the shelf we expect the product to be good and fresh. There is no use by date nor a manufactured date and which a customer can read. They replied with if I decided to purchase again I could always contact them to find out when it was made. How inconvenient is this actually. Who is going to call a company to find out when a product was made if they could even get that information. They replied back to my email after I asked about how to identify the date and they asked if I had a receipt which I can send a picture of. I replied with I don't have a receipt from a product I purchased 7 months ago. They claim that they are unable to help me without this. The bottle does not state anywhere on if that if you have a issue or concern, save your receipt. Most proof of purchase just requires the barcode. I feel that if I did provide a picture of the receipt that they would want me to provide something else. I just want a new bottle to replace this bad one. Attached are the email response from Gorilla Glue. I did get upset with them and it shows. Just want my 18oz bottle.Business response

Gorilla Glue phoned and left a message for our call to be returned so we could discuss the issue reported. We did receive a call back and the matter has been resolved to the consumers satisfaction.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ** ********* and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. If I don't receive the items promised through the mail, I will notify the BBB. Thanks again for all your help.

on jan 3, 2023 contacted gorilla glue because i had purchased their gorilla clear tape that would hold up to 15 lbs. i was using it on a dry surface to mount solar lights to the side of my garage. the lights weighed less than 2 lbs each. i didnt want to drill holes in my garage. one completely fell busting as result of the failure and the second started to fall and i removed it. i emailed gorilla with my concern. answered all their questions. the last and only correspondence i received was on jan 3, 2023. i tried to reach out a few more times via email with no response. i would also like to address that gorilla glue is a great product, however the squeeze tubes puncture before all product is used and it dries out. i currently have 3 wasted tubes of gorilla glue as a result of this. i would simply like a replacement of 3 gorilla glue clear glue in the gray tubes and one gorilla glue mounting tape. i tried to reach out to gorilla glue and they never resolved my issue. thank you and hope to continue business with gorilla products.Business response

The glue id good but the shelf life is bad on your wood glue and i kept it up side down in a worm place am trying to get a replacement gor the wood glue i bought. Signed ed girlingBusiness response
