Back in late 2016, I took a small loan and waiting for my accident settlement to come in to pay the load off. I paid it entirely off in 2017. Now, I just was contacted that Check n Go currier told me Check n Go is threatening me for non payment and they want me to pay them $3509.58 to settle. I was never contacted by anyone that I owed any money and I moved into a new home 3 years ago and still have never been contacted. I want this removed as I do not owe them anything!! I do not have any of the records as they were thrown away during my move as I did not think they would come back several years later trying to collect from me again. I need help!

      To Whom It May Concern:

We would like to thank *** ******* for contacting us regarding the collection calls she has been receiving from someone claiming to be associated with Check 'n Go.

We completed an investigation into the matter and can confirm that *** ******* obtained an installment loan on 3/13/2015 in the amount of $3,825.00.  Our records indicate that loan defaulted and was sold to ***** Capital Management on 8/29/2016 with a balance of $3,509.58.  If *** ******* has any questions or concerns, we would encourage her to contact the Third-Party agency directly at ###-###-####. We have no additional information to offer as we are not the current owner of *** ********* debt and have not contacted her since the date of sale.

We would like to clarify that although her account is closed in our collection system, her account will always remain in write-off status. This is a matter of Corporate policy. She is always welcome to reapply; however, we are unable to guarantee approval as the determination is made by underwriting.

I entered the business with intents to be approved for a loan. I've been diagnosed as legally blind, so my spouse ******* Filled out all pertinent information with all id's and income proof I was told that they don't accept chime, so I ripped up my application I'd traveled 8 blocks to the nearest location to hopefully get approved, I decided to look up information that states that chime isn't a qualifying bank .I was told that wasn't true. I have had to many issues like this to not complain. It's bad quality assurance. Previously, I've been treated unfairly by this same business on several occasions through the years. I feel as it's totally unprofessional and selfish, and perhaps will cost people more in punitive damages without integrity.

We would like to thank *** ****** for contacting Check ‘n Go regarding her recent application. We understand that there is some confusion with the banking requirements associated with her loan. We completed an investigation into the matter and can confirm that *** ****** initiated a loan application on 7/17/2024.  We would like to confirm that our company requires that a valid checking account be used in coordination with our loan products.  Unfortunately, the business utilized by *** ****** to conduct financial activity is not considered a bank, rather is an online financial company that coordinates with regional banks to provide specific products and services to customers.  If *** ****** would like to reapply with a different bank account, we would be more than happy to assist her with that process.

We would like to thank *** ***** for contacting us regarding the collection calls he has been receiving from someone claiming to be associated with Check 'n Go.

We completed an investigation into the matter and can confirm that there are no open loans in our system that match the personal information he provided within his complaint.  Although we can advise these calls are more than likely fraudulent, unfortunately we cannot control the debt collection/communication practices of other companies, and do not have the ability to force a third-party to stop contacting him.  If the calls continue, we would recommend filing a complaint against that company directly.

I got a loan through our loal check n go here in **** ******. I have gotten loans and paid them off and was in good standing. upon asking for the remaining loan amount recently after a portion had already been taken from my bank i was denied and not given a valid reason as to why i was unable to get the remaining portion of my loan which was capped at $2500. I had up to that point only got $1500 with the remaining balance being denied to me. Michelle the store manager of the check n go location here in Hays was confused and she wasnt even given a clear reason to my denial. I had then been directed to cooperate and spoke once to April N*******. Since i have had to file a complaint prior to this for misconduct and now dishonesty. This professional "April" has access to my bank information and all my personal information and has been dishonest i am very concerned about this and would like someone to look into this.

At that time, *** ***** could have canceled the application if she felt the payments were too high or the payment due dates were incorrect.

Hello, I am writing in regards to my loan with Check N Go, I took out the loan aid with the assistance of a vehicle that I intended payback. However, I was terminated from my employment along with other debts, the loss of my parents, amongst other expenses and financial losses and I explained that I DO NOT HAVE ANY MONEY AT ALL, NOT EVEN $1.00. This loan is past the Statute of Limitations for the State of ********, I am in ZERO POSITION to pay anything as I am unemployed with ZERO money, support, unemployment benefits and homeless without a car. I have been living on the streets for almost two years along with other personal issues and I am asking that THIS DEBT REMOVED FROM ALL RECORDS WITHIN 30 DAYS AND FORGIVEN ALONG WITH ANY MONEY THAT WAS PAID TOWARDS THE LOAN WITHIN 1-3 BUSINESS DAYS IN MY ACCOUNT.

Check N Go mentioned that Check N Go sold a canceled debt to a debt collector! Check N Go claim the debt as a write off. Either way it goes a write off of a debt is cancellation of a debt in the account books of a creditor. When Check N Go wrote off a debt and charges the debtor on the extra amount after the written off debt, it can be taken as evidence that the debtor is discharged from that written off debt. By Check N Go stating that they sold the debt to another lender the account cannot be furnished on my account by Check N Go as a Charge Off nor Write Off on my consumer report. We want to thank **** ***** ***** for contacting Check 'n Go regarding his account. We understand that there is some confusion with the terms and conditions of his loan. We completed an investigation into the matter and advise *** ***** in accurately asserts in his complaint that his debt to CNG is cancelled. *** ***** originated a $4,000 Installment Loan on 1/25/2020 and due to his failure to make all payments the loan was written off on 8/31/2021. Please see the following SIIL Transaction history. CNG properly reported the written off loan to the applicable credit bureaus and under the Fair Credit Reporting Act this information can remain of record for up to 7 years.

Further, as the underlying loan is not a cancelled debt, a 1099c is not appropriate. While CNG made the decision to not further collect on the debt, the debt was purchased by ******* ********** *** and thereby ******* ********** *** could collect on the purchased debt.

If *** ***** has additional questions or concerns, I invite *** ***** to engage our team at **************** .

      Charge off definition:
Charge-off. Write off of a debt and termination of servicing activity without release of liability. A
charge-off is a decision by the Agency to remove debt from Agency receivables, however, future
      payments may be received.
      Write off:
a write-off of debt is cancellation of a debt in the account books of a creditor. When a creditor writes
off a debt and charges the debtor on the extra amount after the written off debt, it can be taken as
evidence that the debtor is discharged from that written off debt.
      cancellation of a debt:
      ****************
How Does Canceled Debt Affect Taxes?
The IRS considers most forms of forgiven, canceled or settled debt as income for tax purposes. If the
amount of your canceled debt is more than $600 and it's considered taxable, the lender is required to
send you a 1099-C form, which includes the cancelled amount that you'll need to report.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            I am not asking for verification or validation of this account. DO NOT WASTE MY TIME WITH STALL                                                                                                                                                                                                                    LETTERS the only response to this letter is the Deletion of the inaccurate information being furnished.                                                                                                                                                                                                                  The IRS Clearly defines a charge off as Gross or Ordinary income, INCOME DOES NOT GET
REPORTED ON THE CONSUMER REPORT which in fact makes your reporting of this account
inaccurate! You already stated the account is written off and if you need help of understand what a write off mean please reread the above information I provided.
Check n go already received a tax break; I been damaged plus Check N Go sold the account in a pool of debt.                                                                                                                                                                                                 Now I am suspicious that Check N Go is committing tax fraud for not reporting to the IRS saying the account is not 1099C required when my consumer report clearly report a CHARGED OFF.                                                                    Who are you lying to me or the credit reporting agency?

I did a pay day loan to check n go in February 2024. The payment of $587.50 came out of my bank account on 03/04/24. The check was returned on 03/11/24 by the business bank. Check N Go bank with ***** *****. ***** ***** returned the check but did not return my money. I have been going back and forth with the company, ***** ***** and my bank *****. I am having a hard time getting my money back. I have completed all of the forms that ***** has asked me to complete. I have taken the forms over to Check N Go and they still have not returned my money or signed the papers that was given to them. I have been calling and calling to Check N Go and cannot get anyone to answer the phone. I have gone into the place of business and is always being told that they have not received anything and they are waiting on the manager to get back with them. This has caused financial hardship for me and my family. Even not as I am doing this complaint, I still have not heard anything back from Check N Go. I cannot speak with a manager because there is not one available. I was told that the check was requested to be returned. I just want to get my money back so I can pay them directly and not use their check system. This has really become a really bad experience for me and I will never use them or refer them to anyone.

We want to thank *** ****** ******* for contacting Check 'n Go regarding her account. We understand that there is some confusion with the terms and conditions of her loan. A copy of the returned check was also provided at that time. If *** ******* is able to work with her bank and provide documentation showing the check was cleared and never returned by her bank we can clear the check in our systems. A copy of her bank statement for March 21, 2024- April 20, 2024 would allow us to review the timeframe of the returned check.
