Reinvest Consultants could be considered a fly by night organization. They are not for the best interest of their tenants; they are in this for profit. Our first property manager Andrew B****** stated to me and my Fiancé we were in one of their “least Desirable” units. After we moved in, we were soon to find out why. Repeated Sewage backup that was in our basement twice for 2 weeks each time. It took over a week to get ahold of anyone in the office or in-field, another week before any kind of plumber made it out to do any kind of work. I personally had to try and unclog the main sewer line of other people’s waste multiple time. The upstairs tenants caused Flooding their bathroom 12 times In total over 8 months into my daughter’s bedroom even pouring into her bed while sleeping, In addition the Animal and Human Urine, Feces, and other bodily fluids, food and trash, causing rancid odors and roaches to the point when they finally abandoned the unit we could not control the insects. no attempts to rectify this. That 2 family house was built in 1910 and very minimal efforts have been made to maintain it. The foundation is shifting, interior walls deteriorating from water damage, black mold in the ceilings, Pluming underground continues to clog easily. No way to insulate for the winter months. Racoons and other animals trying to live under the added on “master bedroom” floor. It would not surprise me if they only skim part of this complaint and try to make elementary excuses. They DID NOT and WOULD NOT renew our lease after paying 3 months in advance in the summer of 2022. I have supporting documentation showing when calls were made, and emails were sent with NO response. The excuse “we had your old phone number is unacceptable when I have called texted and emailed for months. Kyle W******* thinks this is a game and does not take the “least desirable” unit tenants seriously. This is the continuation of gentrification in Black and Brown CommunitiesInitial Complaint

I am the tenant at **** ***** ***, Reinvest is the Property Management Company. I submitted a Maintenance Request on 5/19 because the a/c unit on the 3rd floor does not work. I repeated asked my contact Andew N******, he finally sent a repair person on 6/22. Repair person said that the compressor is out. Andrew said that it would be switched out. I have repeatedly reach out to Andrew and Reinvest with no response. This is 1/3 of my living space that I am unable to use due to heat. The space has casement windows, so I can't just add a window a/c unit. I paid 2/3 of my rent for this month and I will pay the remaining amount when it is fixed. Or I want my monthly rent adjusted accordingly. My belongings are going to be ruined from the heat.
