Took my car in for an alignment, and to get my brakes checked. They tell me my brakes are fine but I need a tie rod in the front driver side so I give them consent to replace it. I then get a call telling me after they did the work they test drove my car, and heard something break. So without my consent they took off my back wheel and took apart the back brakes, then tried to tell me it'd be over 900$ to fix a spring they broke and replace my back brakes as well.It took arguing with a mechanic multiple times just to get them to release my car to me. I have called HQ twice and put In a ticket online as well and I have not heard back. It has been almost a week since. i still have no car and I refuse to pay a dime until I speak to someone in corporate about this. The customer service here is God awful.Review from Ann F

My 83-year-old mother took her 2014 ***** *** to Thompson Tire Discounters in Salem, VA for a car inspection. She was told by the service manager, Chris T*****, that she needed a new backup bulb ($6.23). Without explaining their exorbitant labor fee ($101 for 10 minutes) he replaced the bulb and my mother had to pay $111.67. I am disgusted by the lack of transparency and the blatant shady behavior of the service manager. We will never, ever darken the doors of a Tire Discounters again.Tire Discounters, Inc. Response

Had an appointment set up took 3 hours to do a tire rotation and balancing. Terrible Customer service. It's like when you have an appointment set up you’re not important or a customer. But if you’re a walk-in all eyes are on them.Tire Discounters, Inc. Response

Took our daughter's car to Eavers in January. Repairs by Eavers TD Steering & Suspension REPLACE DRIVER FRONT STRUT, CONTROL ARM, AXLE, INNER/OUTER TIE ROD, SWAY BAR LINK, HUB BEARING F COMPLETE STRUT ASSY When we got her car back on February 21 there was damage to the rear spoiler. Ryan admitted he knew who had done it but then gave us the run around & tried to deny shop was responsible. Cost to repair was 275.67. Took 6 weeks to get our money back & then it was in the form of a **** gift card. On June 18 we took the same car to a ***** dealership because there was a roaring noise coming from left front of car. ***** stated “TECH FOUND LEFT FRONT AXLE NUT LOOSE FRONT LEFT WHEEL BEARING REPLACEMENT IS NEEDED” & “Vehicle was brought in for a concern about a noise coming from the front of the vehicle while driving. Verified the concern & diagnosed noise as a failed wheel bearing or ball joint at the FL corner. Further investigation revealed the axle nut on the FL hub was not properly torqued & stamped to secure the nut stopping it from backing off. Because of this the hub began to wobble when driving destroying the wheel bearing. Recommended replace wheel bearing & properly torque/stamp nut” Also, from ***** “the axle nut on the wheel hub was not torqued causing it to back off destroying the wheel bearing, if left alone the hub could have fallen off entirely” Reached out to regional manager yesterday & he was a complete jerk. Said we should’ve allowed Eavers to repair the car & refused to reimburse us the 710.20 we paid *****. My husband told him that Eavers was not trustworthy after they damaged the spoiler & attempted to deny responsibility & they let our daughter drive off in an unsafe vehicle because their mechanic failed to complete the work properly. She drove an unsafe car for 4 months. The tire could’ve came off. Jeopardized our daughter’s life & others. When we took the car to ***** June 21 we did not think the noise was related to Eavers repairs in January.Tire Discounters, Inc. Response

I asked them to fill my HVAC because it was out and my AC wasn’t working. When they called to tell me that my car was done, They mentioned that my AC compressor needed to be replaced and that they filled it with HVAC, but the AC wouldn’t even work. It didn’t make sense to me that they would charge me over $300 to fill the HVAC, when they knew that my AC compressor was broken. I feel basically scammed because i paid all that money that i really cant afford right now and my ac doesnt even work. They should’ve called to tell me first that my ac compressor was broken before filling it with hvac and charging me over $300. Im upset and wont be going back to tire discounters after this.Tire Discounters, Inc. Response

Took my truck in to Tire Discounters for tire balancing (requested that the weights be put on the inside) and an alignment on May 24, they took my truck for a test drive and then brought it to the front claiming it was done. I was then told that they couldn’t do the balance because the tires were choppy. I paid $143.09 for the alignment and left. I pull out on to ********** Road and immediately notice the steering wheel is off 15 degrees to the right. I called to tell them and they said to bring it back. I return and explain to them that I know the tires have some wear but I would like them balanced for where they are right now and to please put the weights on the inside. And the alignment is not done properly as the steering wheel is off. I also explained that I did not want them to test drive the truck without me. Again I wait - and after a couple hours I watch my truck leave the facility. Upon returning they pull it up in front and tell me I’m all set. The wheels have weights on the outside with the clips not even on properly and I start the truck to find I have a Stabilitrak error code. I refuse to pay for the balance as they didn’t do what I asked and it cost me more money to take it to a real garage to have the alignment and stabilitrak code resolved. I would avoid this place. Scammers and liars. I also listened to the employees at the counter tell customers that it is “illegal” to have tires on their car that are older than 6 years old. They also stated that tires have an expiration date. Tires do in fact have a date code - that is a manufacturering date- not an expiration date. There is no law either.Tire Discounters, Inc. Response

As valued customers we brought our car into the Washington court house store. There we were met with very angry and poor customer service by Mr. D***** the general manager. He told us our less than a year tires were perfect as we heard loud noise. Three weeks later week bring it back into the store and he tells us we need to buy two new tires due to severe wear and new shocks. Thousands of dollars have been spent at this store and never an issue with past managers. This guy has been very rude. Stated that my wife and I have been very rude. Also threw his business card at me when I asked for his information. I was also told I could have his managers information. I highly recommend not going to this place.Tire Discounters, Inc. Response

High praise for Antonio Gil J***** at Newport, Kentucky location. Had a bolt in tire while traveling with an in-law and her grandson. We’re from out of town and anticipated long wait but Antonio had vehicle fixed within 30 minutes. Needless to say I was pleasantly surprised and very grateful. Thanks, Antonio!Tire Discounters, Inc. Worst customer service ever. I schedule an appointment for 8 AM on Monday morning. They tell me they have the tires in. I show up at 8 AM. Only one other client is in front of me, and I have an appointment they don’t from what I over hear. I went for a walk at about 9:10 I show back up and my jeep, with tires are still on the jeep. Granted it is on the lift. At about 9:45 I asked how long it would be for a service that should only take an hour to an hour and a half max with alignment. 10:45 as I’m pacing back-and-forth getting visibly upset at how long it’s taking for something that should’ve been an hour and a half at the most just for the service the gentleman working the front counter comes up and informs me that they don’t have the tires and that he had expected them at around 8:30 but they still weren’t here. The driver was running behind. I immediately ask him why the 2 1/2 hours Into this experience, I am only just finding out that the tires aren’t even here. I explained that I would like a little bit of transparency and had I known I could’ve adjusted my schedule to what they were dealing with. He tells me that the tires are on the way at about 11. I tell him I have to leave as I tell him to put my old tires back on my jeep I go inside. When I come outside, I see that they have one tire on my jeep and it’s new I tell them what are you doing? He’s like well you tires arrived. I look at him and say but I told you to put on the old ones I’d rather not give you $1000 worth of my money if this is how you treat customers. And then with one new tire on the jeep I felt obligated to allow them to install the new tires. I’m amazed at the lack of concern they have for customers time and frankly patience.Tire Discounters, Inc. Response
