We sold the **** ******* to **** ****** on 1/31/2025 AS IS from the dealership. The vehicle was sold completely AS IS will attach copies of the as is paperwork that was signed by both **** ****** and her husband. We give a complementary 3rd party source warranty on the engine and transmission. There was a problem with the warranty due to a voiding issue, but the warranty has since been reinstated. We offered **** ****** to bring back the car and we would fix it for her, but she refused and wanted to go to her own mechanic. That offer does not stand anymore due to the treats we have received from **** ****** and her husband. We took back the car 2/8/25 (8 days after the sale date) after she said that it was overheating after she took it to her mechanic. We told her to bring it in and we would take a look at the problem as a favor for **** ******. Our mechanics ended up working more than 20 hours on her vehicle and we only charged her $250 for the repair. She called the next day stating that the vehicle is still overheating, and she offered if we gave her back the $250, she would take it to her mechanic and have them fix it. We gave her back the $250 in cash 2/13/2025. Since then, **** ****** has called the office more than 100 times threating our employees with a lawsuit. We were trying to take care of the problem as a favor. Again, **** ****** bought the car completely AS IS and signed an arbitration agreement which revokes her right to sue the dealership. She still has her 3rd party source warranty she can use but since the treats have started, we are not willing to fix her vehicle or get involved anymore.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, reasons for rejection are included

i do not find this response satisfactory when the dealership have intentionally voided the vehicle they had the vehicle for 4-5 days and the situation is not fixed the vehicle needs a new engine and I am being quoted to pay to get it fixed twice on what the vehicle is worth I have called the warranty today 2/18/25 and they told me that there is no payment I have called the dealership the guy Zach stated that it is my problem and my vehicle I want my downpayment back and a cancel on the bank loan and I have stated multiple times for them take the vehicle back there have been too many different responses me and my husband never been disrespectful towards the dealership a lawsuit have been mentioned because they are not willing to give me my downpayment and to cancel the bank loan we want to give them the vehicle back we have explained this to the dealership multiple times that if we have to take this to court then we will as we have been legal counseled if the dealership does not cancel the bank loan or refund me my downpayment then I am interested in court Zach have been disrespectful and have belittled me as a women by raising his voice and yelling and screaming he even laughed and stated that this situation helps his business out his behavior have been none but disgusting I have tried my best to handle the situation in the most humane and respectful manor as possible Zach have lied there is no warranty on the vehicle he voided it on purpose he have taken advantage of the situation these are the terms I am wanting the dealership is very much aware that I don’t want the vehicle and I want my downpayment back for them to cancel the bank loan and that I am willing to give them the vehicle back I feel that I have been scammed and taken advantage of

Vehicle was sold AS IS 1/31/25 with a 3rd party source warranty. The customer has a warranty on the engine and transmission on the vehicle. The state of **** does not have right of rescission for used vehicles. I will attached AS IS documents and 3rd party warranty. Customer did drop off the vehicle on 2/22/25, It will be at a storage lot until she picks it up.

    Business Response

    Date: 02/26/2025

The warranty was accidentally voided for a couple days by an employee trying to add a lien holder for another vehicle. Once we realized  that it was voided, we contacted the warranty company to reinstate the warranty. The warranty was reinstated 2-14-25 (will attach proof of the email). We offered the customer to do the head gasket on the vehicle once we found out the warranty was voided at no cost to her customer refused. The customer said she didn’t want to use our shop and she will have it taken care of on her own. That offer no longer stands due to threats made by the customer. The customer has a 3 month warranty that she can use for her engine’s head gasket. Again, customer refused our help when we offered.

    Business Response

    Date: 03/03/2025

The vehicle is not in need of a complete engine. The current issue is a head gasket which is in fact covered by the warranty- which is set in place for situations like this. (Attached is warranty contract covered components). At the time of sale, the vehicle DID NOT have overheating issues. A failure of the head gasket is typically caused when the vehicle is driven/ran for extended periods of time while operating above the proper temperature and the vehicle not immediately being turned off.

Again, the warranty in place is meant for such situations. She is more than welcome to take it to any ASE certified shop/technician to open a claim for servicing. Please have the buyer read the warranty contract and follow the contract terms for repairs needed. I have attached covered components under this contract (head gaskets are covered).

    Business Response

    Date: 03/04/2025

This is incorrect. Recommending an engine replacement at this point is excessive without even removing the heads off the engine. Head gaskets are replaceable and if the heads are cracked, those get replaced. An engine doesn’t get thrown away for a gasket issue.

Because the vehicle is easily fixable and covered under warranty, we will not be unwinding this deal.

I have contacted the warranty company the dealership have submitted a payment after the vehicle was surrendered to them the dealership have verbally told me that they will give me my 1000 dollar downpament back and then they have changed their mind and have been playing mind games with me once the vehicle was surrendered to them they told me that they have it then said that they do not have it i have spoken to a lady named christine and she told me to give it to the bank i have all calls recorded from the dealership and warrnty company ********* states that they suggest a new engine and that they do not understand as to why the dealerhship would sell it knowing that it needs a new engine i have quoted over 6000 dollars to get the engine replaced the warranty company told me that they will only cover 3000 dollars and it even depends on how bad the damage is once again that call is recorded i have left a paper trail with the warranty company and they are fully aware of whats going on i have asked the dealership time and time again to please give me my downpayemnt back and i have expressed and begged them to cancel the auto loan and have been respectful to them i have also expressed to them that i do not want this vehicle and the dealership stated multiple times that they will give me my money back and have stated to give them the vehcile back which they currently have i strongly feel that i shouuld not be responsible for a auto loan when they have sold me a vehcile that needs a new engine. i am asking for my downpayment back auto loan to be cancelled or i am going to handle this situation in court. And hire an attorney i am also interested in abritration court if it comes down to it i have asked and begged this dealership and they have not been helpful they have been disrespectful and rude with their repsonses towards me. I do not have the vehicle and I do noy want the vehicle and it feels that I am being forced to keep something that i do not want i shouldnt have to worry about replacing the vehicle engine and i should not have to be responsible with a auto loan when i do not have possession of the vehicle this dealership keeps lying and again paid for the warranty after the vehcile was surrenderd to them and i strongly feel that is not right at all. All i am asking is for my money back and the auto loan to be cancelled or i will want this handled in court.

Again, a complete engine replacement is not warranted in this situation. The vehicle was NOT “surrendered”. She decided to drop it off forcefully against the dealership’s approval and claiming that we agreed to return it. At one point she asked for $10,000 in order for her to replace the engine with a warranty contract in place or she’d pursue legal action. A claim was never opened through the warranty for head gasket replacement. There are certain parameters set contractually that the buyer has not followed to this point. Absolutely no reason for the buyer to continue pursuit of vehicle return, when a contract to repair the vehicle is in place.

The buyer is more than welcome to come pick up her vehicle and get the repair process started at an independent shop.

I have taken the vehicle to ********* and was told that it it recommended to have a new engine. I DO NOT WANT THIS VEHCILE i have called the warranty multiple times the warranty became ACTIVE after the vehicle was surrendered. At this point I do feel that the dealership is trying to make me be repsonsible for something I am not at fault of i have called the warranty company *** and was told that yes the warranty is active and it happened to be AFTER the vehcile was SURRENDERED i have given the dealership time to fix this they made the situation worse, *** warranty have told me the max to fix this is 3000 dollars and it depends on how serious the repair is. AGAIN i have taken this to a relaible mechanic shop i have even provided documentation. I am not sure as to why i have to be responsible for this vechile when AGAIN i am not at fault!!!!!!!!! I feel that my request is beyond resonable  with me wanting my down payment back of 1000 dollars and for them to cancel the auto loan, and this does not include the money that i have spent regading REGARDING DIAGNOSE TESTS ETC considering the small amount of time that i had it,,, to get the vehcile comepletly repaired FOR A NEW ENGINE IT WILL COST MORE THAN 3000 !!!!!!  this delaership lies and have not been completely honest this have been the worse experience that i have went through with a dealership. If  the delaership cannot do the right thing, then i would like my complaint to move forward to arbitration court.

All of the documents were submitted initially on our first response. Attached is the arbitration agreement and the **** Vehicle Buyers Guide. Instructions for arbitration are included in the document attached. You have the warranty contract attached to the BBB response; this contract was not modified from initial/reinstated. It was a simple error that was corrected as soon as we caught it. In no way, shape, or form did this harm the customer. She is still more than welcome to file a claim and have the vehicle repaired at a shop; not a tire shop that she took it to. Contract terms are contract terms- the warranty is provided to our customers for unfortunate and catastrophic situations like this. The warranty is paid for and provided to our customers in good faith and for FREE. She did not pay a cent for this contract. The vehicle is sold AS-IS, as she signed and initialed on multiple documents. Her arguing that it only covers $3,000 are the terms and conditions of a contract that was given to her. Again, for free. If this contract was not in place, the customer is 100% responsible for costs of the repair. For a head gasket replacement, depending on extent of damage and how long vehicle was ran hot, this should be close +/- to the cost of the repair.

This engine was excessively overheated after purchase; causing failure of the head gaskets. Immediately turning off/towing the vehicle would’ve been the solution to prevent head gasket failure. This is NOT an issue that existed with the vehicle at the time of purchase or the customer would’ve immediately turned right around.

cincinnati used auto sales that i have not paid for the contract, what i have paid for was the downpayement of the vehcile, also ********* is not just a tire shop it is a legit mechanic shop, the dealership response was that there was no problems otherwise we would have came back, and the thing is that we did and the dealership was more than enough aware of the sitaution because they have flushed the system repced the theromstat and the radiator cap, they did not do a diagnostic test, they did not break the engine down, i have had mutliple conversations with the mechainc including my husband and the mechanic told me that he have problem remembering. At the end of the day the dealership is more than enough aware of the situation. And have made the warranty active the same day it was surrendered which i do find that strange i do not want this vehcile and i do not trust the dealership to fix it because if they did they would have been done so the first time . Also the dealership just admitted in their response that they have fixed the issue of the warranty i have purchased the vehcile 1/31/2025 and the warranty became voided 2/4/25 per *** warranty. I honestly feel that given the fact that the better business is involved that the dealership is trying to cover there steps in return. My Husband have been using *** to get the vehcile towed back in forth trying to get the situation resolved but what did we get in return disrepect and being told that we are liars. I really do not want to deal with this dealership i am hoping that they do what is right and just cancel the auto loan and give me back my deposit. they have told me that they will give me my money back and have told me that i can surrender the vehcile but i would still have to pay the car notes. Which I do find that ridiculous now as far as the "AS-IS" i have spoken to a attonrey that states that he would represent me if i was to hire him said that if there is a warranty on the vehcile that it is not an "AS-IS" vehcile. At the end of the day i do not want the vehcile it needs a new engine coolant is mixed with the combustion system, it is more than a blown head gasket from a relaible mechanic i was told that the dealership was fully aware of this and if they didnt know then they are just selling people vehchles without having them properly inspected. Mind you the warranty only covers 3000 and it depends on the damage, the engine is comepletly damaged. it is not safe to drive and it is going to continue to have issues until the engine is completly replaced. And giving taht route it is going to cost more than what the vechile is worth. And that is what i do not want to be stuck to deal with. The dealership needs to make this right, or i will hire an attonrey, i have been beyond resonable with this situation.

The vehicle will be taken back due to first payment default policy. Regardless of the situation, you are contractually obligated to make your vehicle’s payment. Just as in a repossession, the down payment will not be returned.

I am not paying for a veheicle i do not want nor does not have, if cincinnati used auto sales, not going to return my down payment they can at least cancel the auto loan, they will not receive business from me or my family in the near future i do feel that this is the most reasonable approach regarding this matter.  If the business does not accept this then abritration process should start.

There is no arbitration process for a vehicle that is being returned due to neglect of making a contractually binding payment. You missed the first payment. Hence, first payment default.

Missing a payment due to mechanical issues is no excuse in the banks eyes. Especially with having a warranty contract in place. Truly, there’s not much left to be said regarding this matter. The vehicle will be paid off.

I checked out and bought this car, having been told it was in very good and clean condition. I was offered a warranty as well and told that it would cover everything aside from brakes and oil changes. I soon realized that this car leaks over a QT of oil per week, and upon presenting this to the shop with picture evidence and dropping off the car for repairs, they claimed that the car was not leaking and that I had no evidence that it was leaking. Upon reading the details of the contract, it appears that it does not cover a severe oil leak because the leaking seals are only covered if they accompany an existing failed component. Furthermore, the shop rate that is covered by the warranty would be much lower than most shops will charge to repair the car. I was just sold a lemon with bold-faced lies by a dealer that has no intention of seeing me refunded or the car repaired.

Customer purchased 2005 Lexus on 9/13/2024.  Customer mentioned concern with oil level and blend door actuator two weeks after purchase.  Vehicle was serviced as a goodwill gesture and all items mentioned were addressed and repaired that were requested.  Mechanics did not find any evidence of an oil leak or seepage. Customer has a 2 year warranty that the vehicle can be serviced at any certified shop.  Attached is the contract. You are welcome to take the vehicle to any shop nationwide for a second opinion.

We bought a vehicle back in December. The staff seemed friendly enough during our initial interaction. I called them about a week before I was required to change over my plates, because I had not received my title from them. They said they'd have it to me soon. I called the following week on the day the plates needed to be changed. They had yet to send them. I asked if they could have the title ready if I drove 40 minutes to their location, and they did. I also asked if I could be reimbursed for the gas since it was their responsibility to send out the legal documents. They agreed to give me a gift card, but when I arrived they quickly handed me the title, and claimed they mailed the gas gift card eatlier that day. I knew then I'd never see it, because why wouldn't you just hand it to me when you knew I'd be there? Fast forward, and I have yet to see anything from them. They seem to be all about business, and they don't care too much about their customers. We won't be back in the future.

I did receive the title as I mentioned in my original complaint. My issue is I had to call them the week before my plates needed to be transferred,  as I had not received the title at that point in time. They said they would mail it over. Fast forward to the day I needed to transfer my plates, and I still had not received the title papers. I called the company,  and asked if I would be able to drive 40 minutes there and 40 minutes back to pick up my title. Please note they legally were required to mail the title weeks prior.

They were able to provide the title that day. I asked if they could reimburse me for the gas and time I used to pick up the title on my own. They agreed to a $25 gift card that I have still have not received. I believe it is fair they hold true to their agreement. I spent my own time and resources to do something they should have been organized enough to do on their own.

The title was handed to me on 1/29/24 only because I called your business, and drove 40 minutes there and 40 minutes home to pick it up. 1/29/24 was the last day I had to transfer my plates, thus I had to drive to your place of business since you failed to provide the title in your legally required time. I spent time and gas to make this happen. The business should have mailed the title weeks prior to avoid this. I am only asking for $25 reimbursement, as promised by your company for the time and gas spent to retrieve my title. This seems like a small request. Especially when I was told I would be given the $25 in the first place.

This is not the reason I am seeking a gift card for gas. Nor is it the communication I am referring to when you said you would send a gift card. I asked for reimbursement for the gas and time I spent to correct your company's mistake. You failed to send me my title via mail, so I had to drive 80 minutes round trip to pick it up from your office myself. If you had mailed it in a timely manner as you were supposed to, I would not be seeking compensation. When I called to see if the title was at your office I was told I would receive compensation for needing to to drive over to pick up the title.

In April 20, 2024, I purchased a vehicle from this dealership. It started fine and seemed fine while driving it around the block. I took it to my mechanic on April 29, 2004 to have the alignment checked. This is when I learned that the entire underside is rusted out from previous damage. I have photos and video as well as the statement from the mechanic that this vehicle is unsafe to drive. I tried calling the dealership but the person who answered the phone cussed me out. My family is literally in danger each time we get in the car to even drive a few miles. The car should never have been sold for anything other than parts. I want to return this car for a full refund. The car is unfixable.

You were provided with a 3 month / 3000 mile powertrain warranty, attached is the warranty that will cover the engine and transmission from failure. This vehicle is 19 years old and customer was provided with Federal Used Vehicle Buyers Guide signed by ***** which exactly states common issues with used vehicles including rust and corrosion, a naturally occurring reaction when iron becomes oxidized. This vehicle also has a clean history reports with no damage or accidents reported. This vehicle was also financed with a bank as a lienholder.

I do not accept the response from Cincinnati Used Auto Sales. Yes, a 19 year old car will have normal wear and tear, but the damage to the vehicle in question went way beyond normal wear and tear, and any ethical business would realize this.  In 1987 the Ohio Supreme Court ruled in favor of the plaintiff in ****** ** ***** ******* association and ****** ******* *** due to the fact that the defendant had violated O.R. C. 1345.02 (B)(1) and (B)(2) by using deceptive sales practices. In coming to this conclusion,  the court cited case number A8201791 which said, "The acts or practice of a motor vehicle dealer of selling what he knows, or should know, to be an unsafe motor vehicle to another dealer, who subsequently will make that vehicle available to the consuming public, without disclosing the hazardous condition of that vehicle prior to the sale to that dealer is unfair, deceptive..."  By not pointing out the damage, Cincinnati Used auto Sales was deceptive and in violation of the law. The car should not have been sold for anything other than scrap metal and parts as it is too dangerous to drive. Furthermore, a power tran warranty  has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that the frame is cracked and completely rusted . I have asked to return the vehicle in question, and Cincinnati Used auto has refused.

This vehicle was financed through a bank which is the current lienholder, you are welcome to trade it in towards another vehicle and we can obtain financing and use this vehicle as a trade. Please let me know which vehicle you may be interested in trading towards, or we can try to suggest a better fit for you.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below.

Cincinnati Used auto Sales has offered to trade vehicles, and I am agreeable to that only because they have given me no choice. I gave them $1700 in down payment and financed the rest through ******** Financial. Cincinnati Used Auto and ******** Financial have both said my only option is a trade. I cannot afford to lose the $1700 I gave to Cincinnati Used Auto as a down payment.

However, considering the fact that Cincinnati Used violated O.R.C. 1345.02 by selling me a vehicle that had a rusted undercarriage and cracked frame without disclosing this damage prior to the sell, I will not consider this issue resolved until 1) I am in possession of the replacement vehicle, 2) I have their guarantee in writing that there are no major mechanical or structural damages/issues with the vehicle, and 3) that prior to signing the paperwork to trade the ******* for a different vehicle I have an outside mechanic examine the car to verify that it is mechanically and structurally safe with no major issues requiring thousands of dollars to repair once I have left their dealership.

Customer service as a rule means making sure that you customers are satisfied and happy. However, when it comes to auto sales, customer service has to go above and beyond mere satisfaction as they are dealing with people's lives. Major damage to a vehicle will result in accidents, accidents that all too often are fatal. The ******* that was sold to me by Cicinnati Used Auto Sales should never have been sold for anything other than parts. The fact that I will have to have the ******* towed to Cincinnati Used Sales to make this exchange speaks volumes about this place.

In an attempt to find resolution with a previous issue with Cincinnati Used Auto sales it was agreed that once I returned the **** ***** ******* my down payment of $1700 would be returned to me. I let them know via email that I would be having the car towed to them on 5-8-2024 and that I would be in their office to get the check. When I arrived I was told by the owner that no one was there to issue me the check. I could return in 2 hours or just give him the routing information for my bank. Considering that they originally sold me a vehicle that had a cracked frame and whose undercarriage was completely rusted, I sincerely doubt anything this company says.

found the car online for around 18,000 and it had 58k miles on it. asked the dealer multiple times if the car was mechanically sound, and was told yes everytime. said it ran perfectly. give the car a look over and notice a few broken things. dealer said he'd send a new part to replace some broken hood struts (after blaming them not working on the cold weather which is bs) and he never sent them. buy the car and make the drive back to my city, about a 2 hour drive. get back into my city and as im approaching a red light, the brakes on the car fail, almost sending me into the back of another car at 45mph. Had to panic pull the e-brake. get the car towed to a shop, and they show me that a brake hardline busted open, something that was clearly in need of replacement. i texted the dealership asking if they knew anything about to brakes, got no response. texted them the next day as well, no response. after owning the car for a few days, also notice a $500 part of the rear bumper is missing but it was there in pictures. the trunk was completely cracked in multiple places and falling apart. the driver side door handle is broken and needs to be replaced and painted. they claimed the car has never been in an accident, but almost every body panel has been cheaply replaced, with some parts sticking off and barely attached. the suspension is shot, and wheel bearing needs replacing which is hundreds of dollars. again i was told multiple times that this car was in perfect shape, ran great, and the only reason it hadnt been sold is because of financial issues. the only reason i wasn't able to properly look the car over was due to horrid freezing weather making. Also had to do some weird religious conformation thing to be able to purchase the car for the price we did, which was incredibly weird. has been almost a week with no response from the dealer. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. THEY ARE SCAMMING. THEY WILL ROB YOU. FIND ANOTHER DEALERSHIP. TRUST ME.

I'm sorry to hear that you are having an issue with the brakes on the GTO, due to discounting the car $513.87 I am unable to offer any goodwill repairs.  The vehicle was sold as is, at a discounted price, attached is the documentation. We negotiated to help make the financing work as the numbers were very close.  The cosmetic issues you are describing were discussed and pointed out at the time of purchase. Due to the defamatory statements made against our dealership I am unable to offer any other assistance at this time.

I purchased a car from Cincinnati Used Auto Sales on October 5 2023. A week after purchase, my car broke down on the express leaving me stranded and requiring me to tow it back to the dealership. The maintenance man/tow truck driver told me that the serpentine (alternator) belt was shredded and I had an oil leak. Took it to the dealer and they told me they problem was fixed. The owner told me he was unaware of the issue, and that I can’t blame him he said “would you blame us for a flat tire” and said he was doing me a favor. A week later I notice oil still dripping out of the bottom of my car, I called and told them I would be bringing it back in, the owner told me to make sure I have oil in the car. I got an oil change and the maintenance workers told me I needed to replace the serpentine belt (again). I took it back to the dealership where they said they didn’t have mechanics on site today and wasn’t sure when my car will be fixed.

Please refer to the image I've uploaded named 'FTC Complaint Filed 9.18.2023 Cincinnati Used Auto Sales.png' because it explains the problem in detail. In a nutshell, ****** D****** of Cincinnati Used Auto Sales did not disclose all that was wrong with the 2008 Volvo XC90 when asked. He told me over the phone and via email that there was nothing wrong with the vehicle, except for the dented LH passenger door that was dented. His description of the damage wasn't correct, nor was it complete. He failed to disclose all problems when asked. I explained the problems with the vehicle, told him what I had to replace and repair, including what still needed to be done in order to make the car safe to drive. Please refer to the image I've uploaded named 'Cincinnati Used Auto Sales1.jpg'. I explained everything that was wrong and asked him to address the issues. I have a balance of $945 owing Cincinnati Used Auto Sales that's due on or before 10/17/2023, but the amount I've spent on replacing the two completely worn out/unsafe rear tires, replacing the front rotors/front brakes/front pads, repairing the rear window wiper and replacing all wiper blades, plus the cost to replace the LH headlight assembly (estimate $1200 +tax), not to mention that I cannot have the dent pulled out of the LH passenger door, and have rocker trim needing to be replaced (and possibly a damaged rocker), hood shocks that need replacement, as well as a rear bumper that needs to be replaced. These are the issues that need to be addressed and compensated. Sure, ****** offered to come pick up the vehicle, but he wasn't willing to compensate me for anything I've had replaced/repaired. To date, I've spent nearly $2000. He wasn't willing to reimburse any of it, so I understandably refused his offer. The Volvo cannot be driven when it's dark because the front LH headlight assembly is non-functional and in need of replacement. ****** has accused me of trying to extort money from him. Ridiculous.

    Regards,

    ****** ********

Unfortunately I am unable to offer customer compensation to anything that was not agreed to at the time of sale.  Vehicle was discounted and purchased as-is at customers request.

I agreed to buy a vehicle that ****** Deltuva described as having no problems, other than a superficial dent in the LH passenger door. That was a lie. There were many problems that were not disclosed after asking whether or not there were any. ****** was told that I didn't want a vehicle that I had to immediately sink money into out of the gate, and he told me more than once that this vehicle was nice and didn't need anything. I agreed to buy the car he described as not needing anything. That was never going to be the case, because he knew that he was lying. He had an obligation to disclose everything that was wrong with the car after I asked if there was anything wrong with it. I told him that I wanted a car that would last me at least 3 years without having to sink money into it. Again, he told me that this car wouldn't need anything at all. Again, that was a lie. Within days after it being delivered I learned that the rear two tires were completely bald and unsafe to be driven on, and that the front two rotors were very warped/out-of-round. When I had the "superficial" dent in the LH passenger checked out, that's when I learned that the front LH headlight assembly was nonoperational, and when I learned that the hood shocks were nonoperational, that the hanging rear bumper was damaged and in need of replacement. ****** hid these issues from me. I asked for $1000 off the asking price, but that's because ****** told me the car had been sitting on his lot for months. He offered to reduce the asking price by $500. It had nothing to do with discounting the car in lieu of overlooking it's condition. Where in writing is this claim? It's not in writing, because it was never a factor in asking for a price reduction. Even after paying $5000 toward the $5895 balance owing, ****** maintained his lies. This dealership has a history of lying to customers. I've submitted many examples of the lies they tell customers from online reviews. It makes no sense what they're claiming in all of their replies to my complaint. If I didn't care about its condition, I wouldn't have bothered to ask any questions. But, I did ask many questions...but ****** lied when he responded to them. This car was misrepresented. The original listing didn't disclose any of the problems, and the verbal and written responses I received (after I asked if there were any issues with the 2008 Volvo XC90) were lies. After I paid them $5000 I was told the car was going to be serviced by their shop. After a week, I sent an email asking if there were any issues found, and I was told that they had to replace the oil cooler and do an oil change. Why didn't they replace the nonoperational hood shocks, the nonoperational LH headlight assembly, the warped/out-of-round front rotors (which would have necessitated the front brakes and brake pads being replaced too), and the two rear bald tires? Seriously, this dealership lies through their teeth before and after a sale.

Purchased 2017 Nissan Armada long distance from Indiana. I was told on more than occasion that the vehicle was being sold "as-is" but that everything worked. That statement was important in my decision to purchase the vehicle. Purchase price was $24,114.70 on 3/14/2023. Vehicle was delivered to my home on 3/16 and it was discovered that the fog light switch does not work. I bought the car 11/20/22. I left the car so he would complete the repairs I listed and he listed them and my friend was listening on conference call as well. He also made a list and signed it. I specifically left it so they could do the repairs and returned a few days later and none of the repairs were completed and he said they hadn't gotten to it but if I would make an appt to return the repairs would be completed. I called to make an appt as I had to get to work at my clinic. They could not get me in during the next week and the car broke down forcing me to repair it as they said I had to go through the warranty and would not reimburse me for repair. I called afterwards to schedule the original repairs but they refused and said they made the repairs on the list when I bought it, which they clearly had not and said it was outside the repair window. I spoke to the owner who said they HAD made all the repairs on the list but then again refused to make the repairs. He stonewalled me and said he would not help me. The salesman name is Justin. The owner would not tell me his name. I have this entire exchange on recording. I can't get my files to upload. Please contact me so I can fax.

Businesses are under no obligation to seek BBB accreditation, and some businesses are not accredited because they have not sought BBB accreditation. BBB charges a fee for BBB Accreditation. This fee supports BBB's efforts to fulfill its mission of advancing marketplace trust.
