1 starI don't even want to leave 1 star. Got my dentures from Elyria office. Had a tooth fall out got it replaced. Then October another tooth fell out. Took it in to get fixed and have denture relined. Got them back had to go back 5 times to get adjusted because they didn't fit right. Then last week eating a sandwich top denture cracked all the way down. Top denture in 2 halves. Went back to Hudec told them I felt they were at least partially responsible (crack started by where repaired tooth was) the Dr agreed with me said I could pay lab fees only. Yesterday got phone call saying they decided dentures were too old (6yrs) and they weren't helping me. Need new top denture my insurance has changed it won't cover it. I had no problems with dentures (other than teeth falling out) till I sent for repair and reline now I have no dentures and no way of replacing $1,000 for upper denture. DON'T GO TO HUDEC DENTAL!!Review fromPaul M

Dr. Irina Y********* is the most unprofessional dentist I’ve ever encountered. I had a permanent crown implanted over a month ago and most of the work in this office is performed by dental assistants and not the dentist who I barely even saw during my visit… This weekend I’m eating breakfast and notice something extra crunchy in my mouth and discover it’s my crown…I go into the dentist office today and express my disappointment in the durability of my crown and the fact that it came out so quickly and Dr. Y*********’s response was simply, “Thing’s Happen”…I said yes but this was supposed to be a permanent crown so it shouldn’t have happened and she repeated herself, Like I said, Things Happen…I told her that her response wasn’t professional and she then went on to try to find reasons why I might be the cause of the crown coming out…Very unprofessional and unpleasant experience…I will never go back and if you are considering Hudec dentist…Reconsider!!!Hudec Dental

Dear Paul, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are genuinely sorry to hear about your experience and understand how frustrating unexpected issues can be. At Hudec Dental, we strive to educate our patients about factors that may impact their oral health. When you raised concerns about your crown, we discussed several potential causes, including flossing habits. We explained that inadequate flossing can lead to gum inflammation, which may impact the fit and stability of the crown. Although these situations can occur, our primary goal is always to assist our patients in resolving any issues. That’s why we informed you that we could re-cement your crown at no additional charge, ensuring your complete satisfaction. We would appreciate the opportunity to address any remaining concerns and work together to ensure your continued satisfaction. Please don’t hesitate to contact us directly at 216-662-7700. Dear *****, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We understand your frustration with the timing of your treatment. We also kindly ask that all interactions with our staff remain respectful. Our team is dedicated to providing the best care for all patients. Due to your behavior, we regret to inform you that you will not be allowed to return to this specific office. I just went to see *** ***** for some severe pain I've been having for almost a week. He found part of an impacted tooth and an infection but said he didn't even believe in antibiotics! He said he would prescribe be Naproxen for pain but it was on my intake form and I kept telling him over and over that I cannot take that because of my stomach ulcers. He refused me any more help and stormed out of the room. I'm not sure his English was up to par, but I couldn't be sure because he barely spoke to me outside of the word, "Naproxen". In the end, my dad took me home crying my eyes out because not only did this so-called "dentist" not help me, but his poking and prodding and not listening to me left me in a far worse physical and mental state than I arrived in. It was a very sadistic experience that I would have never consented to. I would not recommend him to a family member, friend, stranger... anyone!Hudec Dental

Hi ********, Thank you for sharing your experience. We take patient feedback seriously and are committed to providing compassionate care. We apologize for any miscommunication during your visit. During the exam, an intra-oral ulcer was identified as the likely cause of your discomfort, and we informed you about a root fragment from a previous extraction, which showed no signs of infection. Antibiotics were not prescribed as they were not considered necessary in this case based on the clinical findings. Naproxen was recommended for pain relief, but we regret any misunderstanding regarding your medical history. We would have gladly considered alternative options if this had been more clearly communicated. It's also important to clarify that narcotic pain medication, specifically Tramadol, was requested multiple times but was not clinically appropriate. We appreciate your feedback and invite you to contact us directly so we can address any remaining concerns. Thank you, Hudec DentalB. K.

Hello. I had written specifically on my forms and told Dr. ***** multiple times that I cannot take NSAIDS. I have severe stomach ulcers and taking these types of medications landed me in the ER and hospital last year. I am not sure where the "miscommunication" lies. I was very clear about this with Dr. ***** when it was obvious he hadn't looked at the information on my forms prior to my appointment. He continued to push Naproxen and we went around in circles maybe five to seven times before I had to stop talking because it hurt too much to keep explaining the same thing over and over. Naproxen is a very dangerous drug for someone like me to take. In order to try to avoid potential bleeding in my stomach, I declined the Naproxen. It was not appropriate for Dr. ***** to continue to try to prescribe it. I went to my general practitioner the next day and explained the situation and she was very surprised after examining me that: 1. No antibiotic or at least any sort of prescription mouth wash was given. and 2. I was offered Naproxen after explaining how my body cannot tolerate it. She had to fix what should have been fixed the day before. It was an appointment that I shouldn't have needed to make, having already had to take time off the day prior for my appointment with Dr. ****** I felt that Dr. ***** just didn't listen to me in general though. I tried my best to ask questions and learn more about the problems affecting my mouth but I felt rushed. He acted like he had somewhere better to be when he should have been mentally present in the moment and helping his current patient. I took time out of my busy day to come in to Hudec Dental with the hopes of helping myself get better and I left feeling like a fool for expecting any answers. That is not how any patient should feel as they leave their dentist or doctor's office. I should have left with actual information and feeling like I was going to get well soon. I'm not sure how much better I could have communicated my concerns and needs, as they are in black and white on my forms and I brought them up when face-to-face with Dr. ****** If he had any concerns, I would have made sure that he could have reached out to my general practitioner of 20 years for confirmation of what I was saying, questions, and/or help. But he did not care to learn more. Overall, I went home worse off than when I came in. This puts me in a particularly tough spot now, with Hudec having done my X-rays already because I need to schedule a cleaning and was planning on doing everything in one spot.Review fromjack L

The dental staff and office staff were polite and friendly. They addressed my dental needs proficiently and with care. The problem was I went for a deep cleaning that requires 2 appointments, I was told it would be $80 each visit. I paid my portion and had the procedure done. I then got text about a balance. I called and they assured me not to worry that they were waiting insurance to come in. I then get a collection call. I was told that I signed a receipt acknowledging I may have amount due. (After my procedure). I asked them to cancel my next appointment and just send me to collections. They are still calling and threatening to send me and did not cancel my appointment. If you are concerned with a budget choose a different office and hope they give you accurate quotes.Hudec Dental

Hi *******, Thank you for your feedback and for recognizing the care provided by our dental office. We are glad to hear that you found our team polite and attentive to your dental needs. We apologize for the confusion regarding your billing and insurance claims. While we strive to provide accurate cost estimates, there are times when insurance processing can result in adjustments that may lead to an outstanding balance. It’s important to note that the receipt you signed does acknowledge that there may be additional costs after insurance processing. We value your feedback and would welcome the opportunity to resolve this matter. Please feel free to contact us directly to discuss any further concerns. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention. Sincerely, Hudec DentalReview fromDerryk P

I didn’t have the option of not leaving any stars. Please read whole review: I get to this place I’m already uncomfortable, knowing that every single tooth in my mouth is going to get pulled out that’s a little traumatic and a little scary. I sit in the waiting room, There’s a screaming child, which is a part of life and the receptionist is on the phone very loudly talking she acknowledged me and I sat down. The assistant came out to get me to take me to my room so I can talk to the doctor. I bring My Husband with me to appointments very specifically that caused me extreme anxiety, and she kind of rudely told me that he couldn’t go in the back with me. I understand the procedures, and the way that their policies are, but for somebody with extreme anxiety to tell them that their significant other cannot be there makes it way worse. So when she said he could not come into the back, I said, OK, I’ll go find another oral surgeon and walked out the door. Within seconds, I get a phone call from the receptionist, very rudely telling me that, The assistant was only doing her job and made it look like I was in the wrong for walking out the door. And then she talk to me very slowly like I had special needs and repeated herself like three or four times rudely that she was only following her policy and that I need to do blank, blank, blank to get My Husband to be allowed in there. These people really need to be trained on how to deal with people the anxiety I was not rude with anybody, even though they were very rude with me I would never come to this place if I had to choice to go somewhere else, there’s no reason to treat your patience like that whatsoever. These people really need some sensitivity training on anxiety.Hudec Dental

Dear ******* We appreciate your feedback and the opportunity to address your concerns regarding your recent visit to our office. We sincerely apologize for any confusion or inconvenience you experienced, and we value your input as it helps us to improve our services. At Hudec Dental, we maintain a well-established policy that permits only the patient to enter the operatory.
